Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild

Chapter 76: Dancing in Your Palm

Elaphia held the Silver Heart Sword in her small hands and offered it to Li Ang.

Beside them, Lanslow and Dorothy made strange noises with different implications, the lady biting her lower lip, her voice sounding as if squeezed from her throat: "Giving, giving something like this? What does it mean."

Li Ang reached out and grasped the hilt of the sword.

He immediately sensed the spirituality within the short sword, like countless sharp edges, embodying the highly aggressive magical power shaped by the Blade Master.

And the Silver Heart serving as the energy core is a rare Energy Source, primarily drawing magic power inclined towards creating and molding metallic substances, which is why only Elaphia would specially collect it.

The Silver Heart further enhanced the sword's attack power, but Li Ang could also sense a gentle force within the entire sword that restrained its destructiveness, as if Elaphia did not want Li Ang to be harmed by these sharp edges when using it.

Li Ang wielded the Silver Heart Sword, performing Spiritual Manipulation, and a series of Silver Light Blades made entirely of pure magic materials formed around him, erupting magic power as if flowing silver were gathered in the air.

Elaphia chuckled lightly: "Only someone like you, a Spiritual Control master, can unleash its power in this way."

When an ordinary person infuses magic power into the sword, it only creates a circle of floating blades like Lanslow's Multiblade Sword, with the difference being that it becomes pure magic material capable of destroying all natural substances.

But Li Ang, in manipulating spirituality, could exert a power similar to Elaphia's, freely controlling the number and attack methods of the Silver Light Blades.

Li Ang swung the lightweight short sword like a Magic Staff, the silver light swiftly shooting into the distance, piercing through the wind wall of the Aerial Realm and disappearing.

A few breaths later, the airflow expelled when the wind wall repaired itself reached the ship where the four were located.

The wind wall was formed by a gathering of vast Wind Elements, and if not made of pure magic material, it couldn't be touched at all. And to completely break it, no such power exists currently in the world.

Li Ang was testing its power by summoning the Silver Light Blade, and the results showed it was quite potent.

Elaphia raised her delicate little hand again, solidifying the silvery pure magic material at Li Ang's waist to form a matching scabbard.

"Thank you, Elaphia, this is a great help to me right now." Li Ang solemnly thanked her.

"It's merely an investment in the you I wish to see."

Afterward, Li Ang asked her why she suddenly left the post.

"I took a trip to the Salem Sky Realm, a rare magical disaster brought in a Level 9 large Magical Beast. You know, it's very chaotic there, with various forces converging, and the Order Sandstorm Corps can't fully control it."

In the Four Major Aerial Realms, Salem Sky Realm is the place where local forces are the most chaotic.

After chatting a few more words, it was time to say goodbye.

"I'm off, with the Empire's issues, if delayed, who knows if those riffraffs will mess up again. Li Ang, I'll keep your reminder in mind."

"Goodbye."

The young lady raised her delicate chin: "And every time you say my name, it feels awkward; just call me Aifei."

After saying that, she quickly flew off to the side.

Watching Elaphia and Lanslow leave on the Imperial Ship, Dorothy's small boat slowly made its way through the channels, bypassing those temporarily idling at the channel's entrance, sailing into the Flos Sky Realm.

Seeing this familiar sight, Li Ang felt a wave of relaxation overtake him.

The day had been thrilling, especially since he hadn't slept at all! Not just today, but even back on Satus Island, he hadn't really slept.

Once he relaxed, Li Ang let out a big yawn.

"Do you have a lounge chair or something on this boat?" Li Ang asked Dorothy.

The half-elf girl pouted silently.

Li Ang turned to head into the cabin: "Then I'll just find a corner to lie down in; I really can't take it anymore."

"Wait, don't, you can sleep in my bed." Dorothy caught up: "It's not that I'm ignoring you, I'm just mad at myself."

"Mad about what?"

"While others can give you such help, I can only watch."

"You've joined my group, do you think I'd just let anyone in? Mastering your power, making things easier for me, so you can stand on your own sooner, is the greatest help to me."

Dorothy nodded repeatedly and added: "That young lady is so good to you, huh? Such a powerful weapon, I bet all my pocket money couldn't afford it."

She wasn't wrong in her estimate. In peaceful places, high-tier equipment sells for even more, often being in a state of high demand but low supply throughout the Four Major Aerial Realms, prices set that no one is willing to pay, and for those who are, what they want might not even be available.

"We might collaborate in the future, so she's helping me out a bit now."

"That proud Persian cat looks like she's declaring her claim. But although she looks like a Persian cat, she's as fierce as a leopard or a tigress. Damn it, compared to her, I'm truly a useless young lady."

"Why are you speaking in such a proud tone?"

"It's just a little urgency in my tone. I just feel like so many years have been wasted. I need to work hard too."

Dorothy nodded with each step, opening a framed door inside the cabin: "Here it is."

Inside was a simple little room, with a gentle aroma that was a typical mix of scents from the various washing and grooming products used by girls, softened by life so that the chemical smells faded.

"Don't mind, okay," Dorothy said softly.

Li Ang originally felt everything was quite clean, but hearing her say this, his expression turned a bit odd.

Slowly, the young girl seemed to realize what her words implied, and her expression collapsed, then quickly tightened as if she hadn't said anything, but her face turned red like a ripe fruit.

Li Ang pretended not to know anything and went toward the bed: "Don't mind me being covered in dust."

"No, it's fine, I was going to clean anyway."

Watching him sit down, Dorothy covertly glanced over at the small bed and Li Ang, asking: "You're very tired, aren't you?"

"Yes, after battling hard before arriving at the Ignis Sky Realm, at my age now, I don't have the energy to keep pushing my body like when I first began adventuring."

"So if you fall asleep, can you sense what's happening nearby?"

"..."

Seeing the look Li Ang gave her, the elf girl tried to remain calm: "What? Of course, you need to know such things, otherwise how can you consider safety when camping in the wild in the future?"

"If I ensure complete safety, I'll deep sleep, but if not safe, I'll set a spiritual warning, like now."

"Tch."

"Spare me, I'm really about to pass out."

"I'm off to steer the boat, it's heading toward the Gorasis Sky Realm, right?"

"Yes, but stop briefly at the City of Trade."

"Are you going to buy something?"

"Buying some things."

"So vague, you're not buying for another girl in our group, are you?" Dorothy smiled.

Seeing Li Ang silent, she asked uncertainly: "Aren't you?"

"Going to sleep."

The half-elf girl stomped her foot angrily: "This one and that one, don't let another pop up when we reach the City of Trade."

She plopped onto the bed: "Before you sleep, coax me, or I won't be able to steer the boat."

Before Li Ang could say anything, Dorothy leaned forward. Her dress today only gathered from the waist up, the material not closing off the shoulders, held in place by transparent straps.

With this move, the mountains on either side of the valley seemed ready to escape with her blooming magnificence.

Li Ang sighed.

Everyone's dancing on the boundaries of my nerves.

In his mind flashed Zoe, then Elaphia, feeling like he's becoming someone different with each person. Sometimes he's not sure who he truly is.

And with Dorothy—

"The words you said in the secret passage, I can't pretend not to hear."

The girl's body trembled at his words, her breathing becoming short.

"If that way of interacting is what you like, I'm not always going to refuse, you know? Although continuing like this might become more dangerous. Let me rest for now."

Dorothy's eyes were full of allure: "I'm sure, I like it."

She gently lay beside Li Ang: "Though I've gathered the courage to abandon my previous life, I still know I'm not someone who can make my way independently.

"I'm like a Golden Canary, the cage keeps me from flying and singing, I want to leave, but when the cage opens, I'm not sure how to face nature.

"I still need someone to care for me.

"Now, I've chosen this person, his palms warm and wide enough to hold me.

Dorothy's slender hand rested on Li Ang's chest: "In the future, let me sway and dance in your palm, melodious and vibrant."

After speaking, the girl's demeanor was serene, like a flower basking under sunlight after clouds scattered. She gently closed Li Ang's eyes, then rose and went out to take charge of the helm.
