I Can See Health Bars in Real Life

Chapter 11: The Trial Request (Part 3)

He took out the normal luggage like clothes and casually stuffed them into a just-purchased normal luggage bag. After all, if you're going to stage a performance, you have to go all out. Since his chosen reason for being here was tourism, the style needed to match a bit...

With this thought in mind, after a little tidying, he tossed this new luggage bag into the trash can, then packed other suspicious materials and tools into his previous outdoor backpack, turned to leave the alley, but stopped when a thought crossed his mind.

He turned back, thought for a moment, and casually pulled out a few large-denomination yen bills, tossing them onto the ground in the alley where people passing by could easily see them.

Although he hadn't caught up with this world's intel from supplementary episodes, as someone who had watched related works before, he still remembered a bit of the general idea...

Even though he'd forgotten what special abilities that washed-up God of Poverty had, seeming particularly down-and-out, he only remembered that it was a god without a permanent home, no job, with an unstable source of income, causing its divine artifacts to leave one by one—a god without a shrine worshiping him, lacking incense, a down-and-out remnant of the Gods.

But in the end, still something tainted with the term "Gods"—even in this world, the concept didn't seem that noble—Gu Mo was not going to underestimate the other party lightly. So, to cover his own tracks, he naturally needed to wrap things up properly.

As long as enough people came to pick up the money here, leaving a short-term trail of many presences in the alley, then it should confuse his own presence. If the other side wasn't paying attention, they probably wouldn't notice which luggage was thrown in by him.

Using this method, Gu Mo attracted several waves of passersby, watching them enter delightedly to pick up the money and then leave.

Feeling the amount was probably enough, he quietly slipped away, no longer observing from the opposite street corner in secret.

After disposing of that other bag, Gu Mo began to prepare for daily needs such as food, clothing, and shelter for himself, since he needed to stay in this scenario for a month, he needed a place to stay, and he couldn't possibly not eat or drink, surviving on nothing but wind and dew.

Meanwhile, he was exploring and checking the experience-gaining situation in this world. He didn't need to specifically conduct investigations, just walking around the city, observing the odds of triggering wild monsters or encountering hostile red-dot units. Although not as terrifying as the Warring States Era, with demons parading night and day, it should still be relatively easier to spawn monsters.

As for hiring that God of Poverty and teaming up with them, he did have such an idea in mind, but he was not in a rush, nor did he directly send out a team-up request at the start.

Doing so definitely wouldn't work; hence, he planned to set things up first, establish a connection before proceeding. The previous assignment was more of a normal commissioning, serving as a scouting stone. As for how to smoothly transition into monster slaying afterward, he had a rough idea, possibly finding himself a fitting reason to transition into an ally of Justice.

"It seems there are quite a few hospitals, but most of them are the voices from the other side, not fully formed resentments..."

In the afternoon, standing in front of a certain hospital, Gu Mo gazed at the hospital building and made this judgment.

In this area, he heard many whispers, like droplets dripping from a far, far-off deep space, bringing echoed sounds. However, the coming and going doctors, nurses, and patients, most of the living, couldn't hear it, seemingly not affected at all.

And in his Perception, there were only sounds, without any corresponding entities... This was somewhat troublesome, as it seemed the world was filled with things, yet not as many as one might imagine, and he didn't know if he could level up a couple of levels.

The phone rang, bringing Gu Mo back from his thoughts, and he answered the call.

"Uh, you've already found it... okay, okay, I'm coming right over."

After hanging up, he sighed lightly, his expression peculiar. The speed and efficiency were impressive—he had deliberately given them a completely opposite direction, yet they still completed the task so quickly. Could it be that from the moment the order was confirmed, they tirelessly hustled across the whole city?

For earning five yen, that God is truly hard-working...

Closing the phone, he glanced at the snake and fox beside him, preparing to go meet that God of Poverty, but they...
