Chapter 53: Registering a Company

The end-of-class bell rang, and the originally quiet teaching building instantly came to life, filled with noise.

In the Class of 21 Software, while all the students were packing up their things, they were also discussing with their neighbors about what kind of system to develop. More importantly, Professor Song hadn't mentioned how complex the system needed to be to pass.

For all the students in the Class of 21 Software, developing a system wasn't that difficult; the real challenge was the unclear requirements.

"Mo Jingchun."

"Hmm? What's up?"

Li Xuanyu pinched Candy's warm little cheeks under her earflap hat and casually said, "In our class, you're recognized as the most capable in software development."

"How about it? Up for a little competition this time?"

Uh...

Mo Jingchun scratched his head, smiled, and said, "It's not like it's a thesis project, just a simple system development for the final exam. No need to make it so intense. Making the system too complicated is just a waste of time for both you and me."

"How could it be? Just tell me if you're up for it or not. Humph, even if you don't compete, I'll still go all out to develop the system."

"Alright then." Mo Jingchun shrugged and agreed with Li Xuanyu.

Returning to the dorm, the first thing Mo Jingchun did was log onto the online business registration website to check the status of the company's registration pre-approval.

"Oh, it's already approved."

Following the steps on the website, he needed to schedule a time to submit materials to the business administration office. After thinking it over, Mo Jingchun scheduled it for Friday afternoon of that week.

Conveniently, there were no classes on Friday afternoon, and on Saturday and Sunday, Mo Jingchun wasn't sure if there would be any staff at the business administration office to handle transactions.

The company's name was simple, called Candy Technology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of one million, and naturally, Mo Jingchun himself was the legal representative.

Naming the company was harder for Mo Jingchun than developing a system. Moreover, when he was thinking of a company name, Candy kept fidgeting in his arms, so he simply used his sister Candy's nickname as the company's name.

After all, no matter how much money he earned, it would all be for his sister, Candy.

If it weren't for this little burden, Mo Jingchun felt he could just live an ordinary life, a laid-back existence.

After all, with no family left, where would the motivation to strive come from?

When Friday came, after lunch, Mo Jingchun went out carrying his fully outfitted sister Candy and a canvas bag.

It had to be said that the country's policies supporting innovation and entrepreneurship among university students were excellent. If you went outside the school gates, just registering a company meant you'd at least have to rent an office space in this expensive Jing City.

University students have it easier. At Jing University, there's a Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, with numerous workspaces freely given to students for entrepreneurship, and it can also serve as the company's registered address.

Mo Jingchun submitted a project for a smart anti-shake spoon to the school, and after waiting for about half a month, he successfully got assigned a workspace. It wasn't large, only a bit bigger than a bathroom.

Hmm~

A whole ten square meters!

This was also why Mo Jingchun hadn't gone to register the company after completing the first assembly and testing of the smart anti-shake spoon.

Mo Jingchun had checked out the workspace given by the school in the Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base and even took the time to clean it up.

Inside the entire workspace, besides a desk, there was nothing else. Indeed, not even an office chair to match the desk.

And that desk, Mo Jingchun guessed, was most likely left behind by a previous occupant who didn't want it, as even the drawers of the worn-out desk were missing.

In the vast Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, Mo Jingchun learned that this year's most successful entrepreneur was actually someone selling fruit within the school.

By placing orders through the public account or group chats, students could enjoy door-to-door fruit delivery. Even though their fruits were a bit more expensive, the number of people buying fruit each day was still huge.

Students worked part-time to make home deliveries and earned money, while the senior in entrepreneurship earned a staggering daily net profit.

To say the least, people love to imitate.

After witnessing this sales model outside the campus, some stores did try it, but without exception, they were all dead in the water in the end.

Of course, Mo Jingchun didn't envy this senior's entrepreneurial success. The only thing Mo Jingchun envied was that the senior had changed workspaces three times and was now using the largest workspace in the incubation base, a spacious 25-square-meter workspace.

In the cold December of Jing City, it was really freezing. It wasn't so bad when the wind wasn't blowing, but if it was windy, Mo Jingchun didn't even want to go outside, as the bitter cold wind felt like blades cutting into his face, making it hurt tremendously.

Walking into the business administration office lobby, Mo Jingchun instantly felt the heatwave—a single glass door separated an outside world from an inside one, like two different worlds.

Taking a number, lining up, and waiting.

The lobby wasn't too crowded, and just as Mo Jingchun, feeling hot, took off his outermost down jacket, he heard his number being called.

"Hello, I'm here to submit company registration materials. It's already been pre-approved online." Mo Jingchun politely smiled at the young lady behind the counter.

Zhang Xinyue looked at such a young Mo Jingchun registering a company, thinking to herself, most likely another university student.

The only difference from other university students registering a company was that he had a baby in his arms.

But that was no surprise, as Zhang Xinyue was used to it. After all, during university, getting married wasn't prohibited and was even encouraged.

Not to mention, university students who got married could often earn extra credits with their marriage certificate, and quite a few at that.

"Sir, please give me the related company registration materials, along with your ID card."

"Oh, okay."

Mo Jingchun handed over the transparent document folder from the canvas bag to the staff, then placed his ID card on the counter.

Zhang Xinyue picked up Mo Jingchun's ID card, glanced at it, and with her right hand, typed in the ID number on the keyboard, looking up the pre-approval information for company registration in the system.

"Sir, I found your registered company name is Candy Technology Co., Ltd. Is that correct?"

"Ah, yes, that's right!"

"Okay, let me check if there's any missing information."

With that, Zhang Xinyue opened the documents prepared by Mo Jingchun, matching them to ensure all information was complete.

"Alright, sir, your documents are complete. Within three working days, we will conduct the capital verification for your company. If there's no issue, you can receive your business license in about five working days."

"At that time, you'll need to apply for an organization code certificate and register for tax at the tax bureau to start operations formally. Also, both the official seal and legal representative's seal need to be registered with the local public security bureau."

Mo Jingchun opened his mouth, realizing how complicated it was just to register a company.
