Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids

Chapter 56: The Lazy Mo Jingchun Letting Go of Power

For a moment, Xu Pengfei and the other nine interviewees all looked at Mo Jingchun in astonishment.

No one expected that the young man who initially screened their resumes in front of them was actually the owner of the company they were interviewing for.

Astonishment aside, Xu Pengfei instinctively straightened his back, wanting to leave a better impression on Mo Jingchun.

Among the ten interviewees, the women seemed even more hopeful.

"Ahem, the company only needs one intern president, so out of the ten of you, only one will receive an offer. As for the others, I can only apologize in advance."

All ten including Xu Pengfei nodded seriously, knowing beforehand that only one intern president would be hired.

What Li Na and Xu Pengfei hadn't anticipated was that Mo Jingchun immediately threw a curveball that was both refreshing and unsettling.

"Let me be frank. Our company is called Candy Technology Co., Ltd., a newly established tech company, and our products are confidential until launch."

"In other words, the company currently has no employees. If you successfully become the intern president, you'll receive a unique opening employee number."

The ten, already tense, found themselves even more frustrated after hearing this from the owner, with the exception of Xu Pengfei who already knew the details.

Several of them might have left if not for courtesy.

"If you can accept and are confident in the challenge of organizing the company structure, feel free to stay. If not suitable, feel free to leave early."

"Sorry, this job isn't right for me."

"Same here."

With just the first question, half of the people left, leaving only five.

Looking at the remaining two men and three women, Mo Jingchun smiled and said: "Of course, the good news is, if you get hired, you won't have to worry about salary issues, and the monthly salary will be paid on the 15th."

This statement from Mo Jingchun instantly sparked interest in a few who had stayed just to see.

But Mo Jingchun's next question left the five, including Xu Pengfei, in dead silence once again.

"Since I'm personally still a freshman and need to attend classes weekly, I won't manage the company myself. I'll delegate everything, and I only care about results."

"So, don't assume the 20k monthly pay is easy money; the work is hard as well."

Who wouldn't want more authority for smoother operations? But as management majors, they knew all too well that power could easily lead to being lost in oneself.

They were shocked by Mo Jingchun's willingness to delegate power and even more so to learn he was just a freshman owner.

This left them, as seniors, questioning their own place...

Eventually, only two remained before Mo Jingchun, one male and one female, with the resolute Xu Pengfei among them.

The teacher's guidance to seize the opportunity surely had its reasons.

Mo Jingchun glanced back and forth between Xu Pengfei's and Su Wenyan's resumes, unsure of whom to ultimately choose.

Honestly, both Xu Pengfei and Su Wenyan met the criteria. The difference lay in Xu Pengfei, a third-year master's candidate ready to graduate, whereas Su Wenyan was a senior business management student with three months of presidential assistant internship at a Fortune 500 company on her resume.

Why Su Wenyan didn't choose further study or stay with the group post-internship was unknown to Mo Jingchun.

Faced with the choice, Xu Pengfei appeared a bit tense, while Su Wenyan remained calm.

As Mo Jingchun struggled to make a decision, Li Na, who had been silently behind Mo Jingchun, suddenly spoke: "Three-month internship, continue as presidential assistant, salary at fifteen thousand. After the assessment period, salary will be adjusted based on performance, okay?"

Mo Jingchun looked puzzledly at advisor Na, thinking multiple employees would mean an extra expenditure of fifteen thousand per month, and isn't this his company...

Li Na shook her head, patted Mo Jingchun's shoulder, motioning for him to come aside.

Holding Candy, Mo Jingchun followed advisor Na, who then explained: "Don't blame me for acting on my own. I do know Su Wenyan well; she was my neighbor and played with my brother since childhood."

Li Na hesitated, then said: "She's very talented in business. My brother always wanted to hire her as a senior manager, but she refused. With Su Wenyan's help, your company could grow rapidly, addressing many hidden issues encountered during development."

"If your company faces financial difficulties, I can lend you ten million interest-free, to be repaid later."

Mo Jingchun frowned, unwilling to borrow money. Though an added fifteen thousand monthly salary was somewhat burdensome, it wasn't unmanageable.

His main concern was whether this woman, Su Wenyan, could potentially cause trouble.

"Na, do you think there might be issues? You know, my company's just started, we can't afford disruption."

Li Na, realizing the concern was about potential trouble from Su Wenyan, laughed and reassured: "Don't worry about that. It's not like in novels. She's genuinely talented, plus I know her."

After a moment's hesitation, Li Na revealed: "She's an orphan."

Mo Jingchun, holding Candy, paused briefly, then nodded.

"Alright then, let her try at my company first. However, Na, if Su Wenyan brings any issues, I will let her go."

"Of course."

If it had been anyone else, Mo Jingchun might have been frustrated long ago.

But advisor Na...

He owed her too many favors.

When the three returned, Mo Jingchun told the two remaining candidates:

"You're both hired."

"Come with me, I'll take you to the temporary company office."

After speaking, Mo Jingchun told advisor Na: "Na, we'll head off first."

"Go on, go on," Li Na replied, gently pinching the little one's cheek, who turned away, displeased.
