Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 108: Brand-New Skill Gold Undead [Stone Golem]!

Upon hearing this, the instructor apologized sincerely. "I see. My apologies, I was being abrupt."

He looked at Fang Zhou on the screen with admiration and said, "Fang Zhou, you truly live up to your reputation. You're not only exceptionally talented but also hardworking and diligent. It's fortunate you learned about the Desecration Torch in advance, which allowed you to identify the threat and report it to us in time. Otherwise, not only would your own life have been at risk, but the cost of purifying the Desecration Torch later would have been much greater."

Lu Hu stood up, scanned the room, and ordered, "Have the radar room monitor the Negative Energy Concentration in Cave No. 1 and analyze it for any other anomalies. Are there any Professionals in the fortress with the Light Attribute who have mastered the {Purification} skill? If so, you're with me. If we purify the Desecration Torch on the spot, the problem will be solved."

At his words, the instructors all glanced at each other, but no one stepped forward.

An instructor in charge of logistics spoke up hesitantly. "Instructor Lu, we do have Light Priests in the fortress, but none of them have mastered the {Purification} skill. I'm afraid they won't be of any use."

Su Xinyan replied impatiently, "It doesn't matter. I'll go with Lu Hu. We'll just smash that Desecration Torch and bring the Desecration Core back to the military academy for purification. There's no time to delay. Prepare a {Sealing Demon Box} for me. We're leaving now."

The logistics instructor nodded. Su Xinyan was a Golden Lower Rank Undead Mage, and Lu Hu was a Golden Lower Rank Berserker. The two of them were undeniably the strongest individuals in Cave No. 1. Although one had only recently broken through and the other was still recovering from a serious injury, two Golden Tier experts would surely have no problem dealing with a newly formed Desecration Creation.

He then asked, "Instructor Su, will you need a Flying Mount? The cave environment is complex; a Flying Mount is the fastest way to reach the Town Ruins. Instructor Wang Tao just escorted a severely injured apprentice back to the fortress. If you need, he and his Silver Pegasus can accompany you."

Su Xinyan waved her hand dismissively. "No need. I have a Flying Mount of my own. We don't have to trouble Instructor Wang."

At this, Lu Hu interjected, "Let's ask Instructor Wang to come along anyway! He's more familiar with Cave No. 1 and can show us the way."

The logistics instructor saluted and began coordinating the departure. After reconfirming the coordinates with Fang Zhou, Su Xinyan briskly led Lu Hu out of the command hall.

Outside the fortress, Instructor Wang Tao was already waiting, his majestic Silver Pegasus by his side. Upon seeing Su Xinyan and Lu Hu, he stepped forward, saluted, and announced, "Greetings, Instructors. Silver Lower Rank {Pegasus Knight} Wang Tao, reporting for duty!"

Su Xinyan gave a cold nod. Without wasting words, she gently waved her magic staff.

"Summon Stone Golem!"

A powerful surge of magic instantly rippled through the air. With Su Xinyan's gentle motion, the crystal stone at the tip of her staff flashed with a dazzling light. A complex Rune Array materialized on the ground, and mysterious incantations whispered through the air, as if awakening an ancient being from another dimension.

In an instant, the earth trembled.

A black pillar of light shot toward the sky from the center of the Rune Array. Amidst howling gusts of wind, a massive Undead Creature's silhouette gradually took form within the glow.

This was the {Summon Stone Golem}, a new Summoning skill Su Xinyan had developed after advancing to the Golden Tier.

The Stone Golem was a flying Undead Creature of the Golden Tier. Its form was towering and robust, standing a full five meters tall. With its wings spread, its span exceeded ten meters, making it resemble a mobile fortress. Its body was composed of hard stone, its surface covered in intricate patterns and talismans that seemed to be etched with ancient magic power.

The Stone Golem's head was a giant skull, its eye sockets inlaid with two gemstones that flickered with crimson light, like a pair of blazing Soul Fires that radiated a terrifyingly fierce aura. Its back was broad and flat, easily able to carry several people, while its giant stone wings were as sharp as blades. Each feather appeared as if meticulously carved from rock, brimming with a sense of power.

Prior to Su Xinyan, the variety of Golden Tier Undead Creatures that other Undead Mages could summon was pitifully small. The only options were a handful of evolutions, like the Vampire Monarch evolved from a Vampire, or the Dark Forbidden Guard evolved from a Desolate Tomb Guard. These high-tier Undead Creatures, while powerful, were only moderately so. Furthermore, summoning them required a significant expenditure of Spiritual Power, making them far from cost-effective on a Golden Tier battlefield teeming with powerhouses.

However, the Stone Golem before them gave off a completely different impression. Its sheer size was in no way inferior to a Golden Tier Frenzy Demon. Not to mention, the moment the Stone Golem appeared, the rich aura of death it emitted caused all nearby creatures to tremble.

A short distance away, Wang Tao's Silver Pegasus mount felt this oppressive aura and nervously shuffled back two steps. Its legs grew weak, its silver mane stood on end, and it anxiously pawed at the ground.

Seeing this, Wang Tao hurriedly tried to calm his mount, his eyes filled with shock and awe at the Stone Golem.

I never thought such an Undead Creature existed! It's practically a war beast! Wang Tao marveled internally. He recalled how Fang Zhou could summon a Skeleton Army as a mere Apprentice, and now the Golden-Tier Su Xinyan had conjured such a powerful summoned creature. He was deeply moved. It seems the Undead Mage profession is really on the rise.

The other instructors in the fortress were also stunned. Although they didn't know the Stone Golem's exact combat power, its immense size combined with its ability to fly made it obvious that it was, at the very least, stronger than a Vampire Monarch or a Dark Forbidden Guard.

Lu Hu reached out and touched the Stone Golem's stone skin, shaking his head in amazement. "This big guy… it's just as stunning every time I see it. Heh, if only you could summon dozens or hundreds of them at once! No Demon could withstand a charge from these giants!"

Hearing this, Su Xinyan retorted in annoyance, "Do you think Stone Golems are like Skeletons? They're not some low-tier Undead. I only managed to summon this new Undead Creature thanks to Fang Zhou! He's been exchanging his insights on the Undead Realm with me, and I've been greatly inspired by him. My connection with the Undead Realm grew much closer, especially after practicing Fang Zhou's improved Meditation Method. It was only then that I was lucky enough to capture the Stone Golem's soul vibrations and, after hundreds of attempts, successfully summon it to Blue Star."

As she said this, Su Xinyan couldn't help but roll her eyes. "And you want to summon dozens or hundreds of Stone Golems? Heh, I don't have that kind of power. We'll have to wait until Fang Zhou advances to the Golden Tier and see if he has that kind of talent!"
