Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 280: Coronation of the Divine Archer Undead Reaper!

Each house could only accommodate a limited number of people. As the Little Inferior Demons steadily advanced, the warriors hiding in the shadows were gradually forced into corners. With no other choice, they gripped their weapons and roared, fighting to the death. Although they could quickly eliminate these intruders, their resistance seemed fragile under the overwhelming assault of the Kobolds and goblins. Soon, these brave souls fell one by one, dying in pools of their own blood.

When heart-wrenching screams echoed from the third house, the warriors ambushing the other buildings could no longer bear it. They surged from their hiding places, brandishing their weapons and launching a fierce counterattack against the enemies on the street. For a moment, blades flashed through the air, and the street became a chaotic melee of blood and sweat.

The cannon fodder troops of Kobolds and goblins had little fighting spirit to begin with. Faced with the sudden assault, they quickly descended into chaos. A few courageous goblins attempted to fight back, but most chose to flee, desperate to escape the deadly blades. The Little Inferior Demons shrieked, trying to reorganize the defensive line, but their efforts were futile. In moments, they were swallowed by the tidal wave of fleeing Kobolds and vanished from sight.

Witnessing all this, the Fiery Demon leader showed no anger. Instead, a delighted laugh rumbled from deep within its throat. Its slender body rose slowly from the hill. It extended a finger toward the ruins of the Shelter below and declared in a deep, powerful voice, "The time has come! Kill them!"

As if summoned, the Demon Army behind the hill erupted in a deafening roar. Like a red-and-black torrent, they charged down the hill with unstoppable force, surging toward the Shelter. A new massacre was about to begin.

The Demon Battle Group's assault was unconcealed; no cover was necessary. In addition to a full hundred Little Inferior Demons, ten Horned Demons and several Dog Demons participated in the attack. Facing such a powerful Demon Battle Group, the human Shelter seemed fragile and utterly vulnerable. Had their defensive facilities been intact, they might have held the demons at bay with high walls and fences, but those now lay in ruins. Furthermore, the human resistance was already scattered and weak, and they were currently entangled in the chaotic brawl with the Kobolds and goblins, unable to form an effective defensive line to repel the demons' Charge.

"The outcome is decided!" the Fiery Demon leader declared proudly to the other Fiery Demons at its side. The Rare, flame-wielding Demons bowed to their leader, praising its great wisdom.

From a dense forest behind the hill, Fang Zhou watched coldly as the scene unfolded. Only now did he regain his mobility as a prompt sounded from the Simulation Battlefield System.

"Senior Sergeant Fang Zhou, mission triggered. Under the siege of the Abyss Demon Battle Group, protect as many refugees in the Shelter as possible. Survive for a set period of time to clear the stage."

The slaughter had begun. Fang Zhou immediately pulled out the Undead Magic Ball and began casting spells without pause. The difficulty of this scenario was indeed significantly higher than the previous two. He had no room for strategy; he had to rely on raw power and face the Demon Battle Group head-on. The scattered fighters in the Shelter at the foot of the hill would surely be unable to withstand the full charge of this Demon Battle Group.

The hope of victory rests entirely on me, their unexpected trump card.

Fang Zhou was exceptionally calm. First, he activated the Celestial Curtain Magic Bottle, summoning a vast gray mist to obscure his position. He then began casting Summoning Magic repeatedly, each spell unleashing a powerful wave of Undead energy. In total, he summoned a full hundred Skeleton Warriors and commanded them to form an orderly, silent Undead Legion.

He followed up by casting the Skeleton Blade skill, instantly arming his loyal Skeleton Army. Each Skeleton now wielded a gleaming Bone Sword and Bone Shield, transforming the legion into an invincible force. To ensure he could sustain the coming battle, Fang Zhou downed a precious Spiritual Recovery Potion to replenish his depleted Spiritual Power. As his energy returned, he used the Calm and Relaxed skill to enter a state of heightened focus and activated the Transcendent Enchantment on his No. 1 Seed Badge.

Once his Spiritual Power returned to its peak, Fang Zhou cast Summoning Magic again. This time, he summoned an additional fifty Skeleton Warriors to join his army, equipping them in the same manner as the first. With a fully charged Charging Scroll in one hand and the darkly glowing Undead Magic Ball in the other, he led his army of one hundred and fifty Skeleton Warriors. They surged from the forest like a tide of corpses and bones, launching their own offensive against the Demon Battle Group on the hill. Their entire advance was obscured by the Undead Sky Screen emitted from the Celestial Curtain Magic Bottle, their path marked only by the echoing CLACK, CLACK of skeletal feet.
