Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 86: Points Surge and Gold Explosion

Skeleton Flying Spear!

A sharp bone spear streaked through the air, aiming to pierce the head of the Burrower Monster Elder.

Its expression was one of utter panic, but it refused to give up. Muttering a short syllable, the Burrower Monster Elder crushed an earthy-yellow Crystal Stone. A murky Shield materialized in front of it, just in time to block the Skeleton Flying Spear.

Seeing that the terrifying Bone Spear had been successfully intercepted, the Burrower Monster Elder heaved a sigh of relief. But before a smile could fully form on its face, its expression twisted into despair.

Armor-Piercing, Corrosive Poison, Death Energy, and Explosion. Four damage Attributes!

Fang Zhou had carefully perfected the Skeleton Flying Spear Skill to its absolute limit. Among his current foes, only the Heavy-Armored Axe-Wielding Horned Demon Boss from the Abyss Difficulty Horn Demon Outpost could resist it head-on. How could this Shield Crystal Stone, which the Burrower Monster Elder had acquired from who-knows-where, possibly withstand it?

In its hopeless gaze, the seemingly solid, murky Shield was penetrated by the incomparably sharp Skeleton Flying Spear in mere moments.

SQUELCH!

With the dull sound of a sharp weapon sinking into flesh, the Burrower Monster Elder collapsed, its life force rapidly fading.

Having lost their leader, the Burrower Monsters' fighting spirit crumbled, and they scattered in a panic-stricken rout. Only a handful of brave warriors remained, fighting valiantly. They wielded Short Spears and bone clubs, but the Skeletons precisely blocked or dodged every attack. The bodies of the Burrower Monsters fell like autumn leaves, staining the cave floor with their blood.

In less than ten minutes, under Fang Zhou's precise encirclement and slaughter, the Burrower Monster Battle Group was completely wiped out. All that remained were a few Slimes, which posed no threat now that they had lost their commanders.

ROAR!

With a final, desperate roar, the Burrower Monster Royal Guard, which had gone berserk over the loss of its queen, finally fell under the combined assault of the Goblin Chief and Goblin Warriors.

However, despite having defeated the Burrower Monster, the Goblin Chief didn't dare to celebrate. With no time to rest, it disbelievingly tightened its grip on its Giant Axe as it watched Fang Zhou step out from the shadows of a corner.

He was nearly twice the height of a Goblin, wielded a Magic Staff, and wore a robe!

The memories passed down through its tribe instantly made it clear: this was a terrifying creature known as a Human Mage.

Now, in the blood-soaked cavern, apart from Fang Zhou and his Skeleton Army, only the Goblin Chief, a Goblin Priest, two Goblin Warriors, one large, controlled Slime, and fewer than ten exhausted, barely-combative ordinary Goblins remained.

Finish them while they're weak!

Fang Zhou watched the Goblins coldly as they stared at him as if facing a formidable foe, a cold light flashing in his eyes. Granting the Demons no chance to breathe, he waved his Magic Staff once more.

Receiving their orders, the Skeleton Army immediately lunged toward the nearly defenseless Goblins. Under the command of their Chief and Priest, the Goblins attempted to form a defensive line. But the Skeletons were like the scythes of the Death God, mercilessly reaping their lives.

Fang Zhou didn't remain idle, either. Thanks to the reliable Burrower Monster allies, this battle had been much easier than he had anticipated. Even now, his Spiritual Power was far from depleted, more than enough to support another round of magic bombardment.

When two armies clash, always kill the casters first!

Fang Zhou first took aim at the Goblin Priest, who was clearly a Magic Professional.

Skeleton Shackles!

Skeleton Flying Spear!

He unleashed the well-practiced Skeleton Double Strike.

Naturally, the Goblin Priest was unwilling to just sit and await its death. Unable to break free from the Skeleton Shackles, it could only shake the bone bell in its hand, commanding the large Slime to block for it.

The Skeleton Flying Spear shot forward like a meteor streaking through the darkness, heading straight for the large Slime. The creature seemed to sense the danger and tried to dodge, but its massive body made its movements incredibly clumsy. The Flying Spear traced a graceful arc through the air, puncturing the Slime's core precisely.

In an instant, the spear pierced through the Slime's slippery surface and plunged deep within. A powerful surge of Undead Energy flowed from the spear into the Slime's body. It let out a painful wail, its body trembling violently as it tried to shake the spear loose. However, the spear remained firmly lodged within its body, as if it had taken root. Death Qi continued to spread, freezing its Source of Life.

Seeing this, a cold smile tugged at Fang Zhou's lips. He channeled his Spiritual Power again, and the Death Qi within the spear suddenly detonated, exploding like an Undead Bomb inside the Slime. The large Slime's body instantly swelled before bursting apart with a loud crack, scattering into countless fragments.

The cave filled with a cold Death Qi. The Slime's wailing ceased abruptly, leaving only a mess of shattered pieces and goo on the ground.

The Goblin Priest hiding behind it was caught completely off guard, getting drenched head to toe in the creature's corrosive innards. With its fragile constitution, there was no way it could withstand such a dousing of Slime Essence. All it could do was wail incessantly.

Seeing its suffering, Fang Zhou, upholding his humanitarian spirit, mercifully sent another Skeleton Flying Spear to grant it eternal rest.

By now, the other Goblins had been all but wiped out by the dozens of Skeletons. Only the Goblin Chief remained, backed into a corner and still struggling feebly. Seeing that its kin had been utterly annihilated and realizing it was now a general with no army, the Goblin Chief let out a mournful howl and charged madly toward Fang Zhou.

Yet even the Heavy-Armored Axe-Wielding Horned Demon Boss had died in defeat against the Skeleton Army's encirclement. What chance did a mere Goblin Chief have?

Fang Zhou remained perfectly calm and still, silently watching as it died midway through its charge.

With that, the battle was over.

Only scattered corpses and discarded weapons remained in the Goblin Cave, the air thick with the stench of blood. Fang Zhou and his Skeleton Army stood silently, the undisputed victors of the chaotic battle.

Out of caution, he commanded his nearly unscathed Skeleton Army to sweep the battlefield, delivering a finishing blow to every fallen Burrower Monster, Goblin, and Slime.

AARGH!

In a corner, a Goblin attempting to play dead was instantly killed by a Skeleton's finishing blow. Its death cry made Fang Zhou jump.

So, Demons really do know how to play dead! I have to make a habit of securing my kills from now on. I can't afford to be taken out by a stupid mistake.

"Hunting Points +70."

"Soul Power +3."

Looking at the soaring points on his Hunting Recorder, Fang Zhou nodded in satisfaction. Although many Demons had died fighting each other earlier, the ones killed by him and his Skeletons alone were worth 70 points. This made his first-place position on the Hunting Points leaderboard even more unshakeable.

He glanced at the leaderboard on his recorder. He was sitting comfortably at the top with a commanding score of 180 points.

Second place was Natural Summoner Meng Hongzhuang, with 100 points.

Third place was Storm Mage Gu Zhiqiu, with 92 points.
