Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 94: Paw Patrol's Miserable Downfall Ant Queen Gland

Under Fang Zhou's command, forty skeletons converged noiselessly from all directions like shadows of death and tightly surrounded the kobold camp.

The light of the Magic Energy Moss fell on the barren land, casting a silver sheen over the skeletons' ghastly bones.

Their hollow eye sockets burned with ghostly blue Soul Fire, but every step, every movement, was as precise as a finely tuned killing machine.

A blazing bonfire burned at the center of the camp, where the kobolds sat in a circle. Some were sharpening crude weapons, while others greedily chewed their food, completely unaware that the shadow of Death had quietly descended upon them. On the outskirts of the camp, a few kobold sentries yawned lazily, oblivious to the imminent danger.

Fang Zhou stood in a concealed spot. Seeing that the Skeleton Army was in position, he subtly raised his Magic Staff and gave it a gentle wave.

As if receiving a silent command, the skeletons in the encirclement simultaneously charged the kobold camp.

CRACK.

CRACK.

The sound of bones scraping through the air instantly alerted the previously lazy kobold sentries.

YIP! YIP! YIP!

They screamed in terror, and the kobold camp instantly descended into chaos.

The kobolds' wide, red eyes were filled with fear and confusion as they tried to figure out where these skeletons had come from. However, the skeletons' speed and power far exceeded their expectations.

Fangs tore through the night as bone claws rained down.

The battle reached a fever pitch in the blink of an eye. The skeletons' sharp claws precisely pierced through the kobolds' flesh, severing muscle and bone. With every attack, a life was taken.

Though the kobolds fought back desperately, their resistance was feeble against these tireless and unfeeling Death Envoys.

The Apprentice Middle Rank kobold Warlock waved its Bone Staff, angrily chanting a Spell and releasing a string of Continuous Fireballs at one of the skeletons.

Unable to dodge, the skeleton could only raise its arms to shield its skull.

BOOM!

Its arm bones were blasted apart, and the entire skeleton was knocked back several meters by the tremendous impact. Fortunately, although its Soul Fire had dimmed significantly, it was not extinguished.

The kobold Warlock tried to strike again, but its attempt was thwarted when several skeletons broke through its guards. It could only flee in disgrace, calling for support from the other kobolds.

Alas, these Apprentice Middle Rank skeletons were not only greater in number but also superior in power to the kobolds. The other kobolds were barely able to protect themselves, let alone spare anyone to guard their Warlock.

Soon, without Fang Zhou needing to intervene, the kobold Warlock was chased down by several skeletons and ultimately killed by a barrage of claws.

The campfire at the center was kicked over amidst the chaos, scattering flames and illuminating the cruel massacre. Flesh and blood flew as the kobolds' howls and screams created a stark contrast with the cold, hard skeletons.

Some kobolds tried to flee but were intercepted by skeletons leaping from the shadows, their sharp claws mercilessly reaping their lives.

Fang Zhou remained calm, observing the battle and ensuring that no demon escaped.

When the last kobold's scream faded into the wind, the camp returned to silence. Only the embers of the campfire flickered weakly, reflecting the carnage and the forty skeletons still standing.

"Hunting Points +30."

"Soul Power +1."

After clearing the battlefield, Fang Zhou looked at the 70 grams of cleaned mineral crystals and the Warlock Staff contributed by the kobold Warlock, sighing in disappointment.

Unfortunately, no Refining Stone was discovered this time. It seems yesterday's kobolds just got lucky.

After assessing the gains, he determined this sizable kobold camp provided him with spoils worth at least 15 contribution points. Considering how simple and easy the battle was, the return was quite good.

Fang Zhou collected these spoils, and his already heavy backpack grew even heavier.

Gathering the Skeleton Army, he set off on his journey once more.

At that moment, a light rain began to fall again in the cave. Fang Zhou walked along the scattered patches of green grass, clearing demons from his path while remaining attentive to his surroundings.

Suddenly, the roars of demons caught his attention. He immediately stopped and looked toward the sound.

On a stretch of open ground ahead, two groups of demons were locked in a bloody, life-or-death struggle.

One side was a swarm of Fierce Ants, each the size of a small dog, covered in black armor, their eyes gleaming with ferocity. They were tightly clustered around a much larger Fierce Ant Queen whose swollen abdomen resembled that of a queen mother.

On the other side was an Apprentice Middle Level Fierce Bear. It was as large as a small car, with thick fur and a powerful build, yet it stood alone against the entire Fierce Ant swarm.

Although the Fierce Ant Queen was also a Middle Rank demon, its Skills were focused on reproduction and tribal rule, making it inept in direct combat compared to the Fierce Bear's valor and ferocity.

Fortunately, Fierce Ants, being a communal species, had no concept of morale. At the Ant Queen's call, they ignored their own lives and charged the Fierce Bear in wave after wave, never retreating a single step despite suffering heavy casualties.

However, even though the Fierce Ants fought desperately to protect their queen, this resolute spirit could not bridge the immense gap in strength. The Fierce Bear, though injured in many places, only grew more lethal and was on the verge of wiping out the entire swarm.

Witnessing this scene, Fang Zhou decisively intervened to rescue the "damsel."

He promptly deployed his loyal Skeleton Army to encircle both groups of demons, preparing to eliminate them in one fell swoop.

The demons, locked in a deadly struggle, had no energy to spare to guard against Fang Zhou and his Skeleton Army. Amidst their enraged howls, forty skeletons charged from all directions.

While intense, the battle was remarkably brief. Soon, under Fang Zhou's command, the Skeleton Army ended the chaotic melee with overwhelming superiority, slaughtering both the Fierce Ants and the Fierce Bear.

"Hunting Points +18."

"Soul Power +0.5."

The delicate Fierce Ant Queen naturally did not escape and was ruthlessly dispatched by the skeletons. With a heavy heart, Fang Zhou could only accept the Ant Queen Gland it contributed.

Fierce Ant Queens are extremely rare in the caves. They usually appear only deep within ant nests and seldom venture to the surface. This one had likely been ambushed by the Fierce Bear during a colony migration, leading to its unfortunate end at Fang Zhou's hands.

That precious Ant Queen Gland was highly sought after by Sea City Military Academy for its strong stimulating and enhancing effects on ant-type demons, and they would purchase it for 10 contribution points.

Additionally, the shells of the ordinary Fierce Ants, along with the Fierce Bear's hide and gall, also yielded Fang Zhou nearly 5 contribution points.
