God's Imitator

Chapter 251: Second Phase Rules

Obviously, the specific opening of which Nine-Box Grid in the fifth round can almost directly decide the belonging of the 'Privileged Community'.

If the central D4 is opened, all communities will compete, but ultimately, it is highly likely that Community 15's Wang Weidong will emerge victorious.

If G7 or G1 is opened, it would mean a direct pass for Community 12 or Community 17.

If forced to choose one among these three communities, the audience might be more inclined to allow the weakest Community 12 to gain a privileged status, which counts as a reasonable explanation.

At this point, fretting over these matters no longer holds much significance.

For Community 17, the outcome of the first stage of the game is completely acceptable.

They obtained eight plots, enough to build a shelter for each player in the community, with a relatively ample amount of Gold Coins remaining.

Moments later, another broadcast appeared on the big screen, beginning to announce the rules for the second stage.

...

[After the second stage of the game starts, communities can spend Gold Coins to construct shelters on the plots they have won.]

[There are two different construction plans for shelters, with differences in the probability of offsetting the instant death penalty. Players can freely choose on the plot signage.]

[Shelters built on the central 'D4 Nine-Box Grid' will have an additional increase of '10%' in the probability of offsetting the instant death penalty.]

[Completed shelters must be explicitly belonging to a specific player; otherwise, they will be randomly distributed among the players in the community.]

[When Inner Court Players encounter an instant death penalty, their shelters will be consumed in the order of 'probability of shelter offsetting instant death penalty from high to low'.]

[Regardless of whether the instant death penalty is successfully offset, the shelter will be destroyed, and the respective plot will be abandoned.]

[If a shelter successfully offsets the instant death penalty, the shelters under that player's name that have not been consumed will be preserved.]

[Inner Court Players can freely trade shelters, and the prices will not be publicized.]

[Inner Court Players can also choose to list shelters for sale oriented towards the audience, who can only buy shelters at the listed price with Gold Coins.]

[When Inner Court Players trade with the audience, neither party can confirm the specific trading object nor check the details of the shelter, but the latest listed transaction price will be broadcast on the big screen.]

[The audience will not suffer an instant death penalty, but at the end of the game, if they do not have any shelters under their name, all remaining visa time will be deducted, with a maximum left of 48 hours.]

[If the audience has shelters under their name, the probability sum of 'all shelters offsetting instant death penalty' will be used to protect initial visa time.]

[For example, if the audience possesses one shelter with a '90% probability of offsetting instant death penalty,' upon leaving the game, 90% of the initial visa time will be protected from deduction (visa time converted to Gold Coins is not protected).]

The rules for shelter construction only mention there are two different construction plans but do not specify the costs and probabilities of offsetting instant death penalty for different plans.

Clearly, this information requires Inner Court Players to check on the signage of the plots themselves.

Additionally, the game rules only allow trading shelters, not the plots without completed shelters.]

[After the second stage of the game starts, each game round will proceed according to the following procedures.]

[1. Judgment Phase.]

[2. Plot Auction Phase.]

[3. Free Trading Phase.]

[Special Note: Only after entering the 'Free Trading Phase' is the buying and selling of shelters allowed.]

[For transactions between Inner Court Players, they are completed immediately; if the audience bids for listed shelters, Gold Coins will be credited in the next round's 'Free Trading Session' (In the final round of the game, immediate credit is possible).]

[Next, the focus will be on introducing the four death rules within the game.]

[1. Sinner Confession.]

[In this game, each community has one 'Sinner', whose crimes will be revealed sequentially.]

[The sinner whose crimes are revealed must make a decision within 10 seconds and perform the corresponding operation on the left-hand screen: 'Confess' or 'Appeal'.]

[If 'Confess' is chosen, the sinner will directly suffer an instant death penalty and cannot be protected by a shelter.]

[2. Being 'Collectively Punished' by Sinners]

[If a sinner chooses 'Appeal' rather than 'Confess', they will have one minute to explain.]

[All Inner Court Players can judge the sinner through voting, determining 'Guilty' or 'Not Guilty'.]

[If players believe the sinner performed the act out of 'no other choice' or 'could be understood', they vote 'Not Guilty'.]

[Otherwise, they vote 'Guilty'.]

[The voting limit is three minutes, and if players do not vote in time, it automatically defaults to 'Guilty'.]

[If more than half of the players believe 'Not Guilty', the sinner will be exempt from punishment.]

[If more than half of the players believe 'Guilty', the sinner will suffer an instant death penalty, and a 'specific group' will also be 'collectively punished': suffering the instant death penalty as well.]

[Inner Court Players may commit crimes of the same type as sinners during the game.]

[If fewer than five Inner Court Players commit the same type of crimes, players 'in the same community as the sinner' will be 'collectively punished'.]

[If five or more Inner Court Players commit the same type of crimes, players 'who committed the same type of crimes' will be 'collectively punished'.]

[3. Heartless Penalty]

[Before the end of the game, the system will conduct 'polygraphs' on all Inner Court Players. If the players' inner true thoughts are completely consistent with the previous voting result, they will be marked as 'Perfect Judge'.]

[If there are fewer than ten 'Perfect Judges', then all players except 'Perfect Judges' and 'Audience' will trigger an extra instant death penalty.]

[However, players have one chance to cast a 'heartless vote'.]

[Choosing to cast a 'heartless vote' on the screen will automatically pass all polygraphs within the game for this vote.]

[But players of the same community will not be able to cast a 'heartless vote' for sinners in their community.]

[Furthermore, Inner Court Players can spend 30 Gold Coins at any time to view a sinner's detailed file, and it will be broadcast on the big screen.]

[4. Final Vote]

[Before the end of the game, the five communities in the inner court will undergo a 'final vote', and the community whose players are selected will suffer an additional instant death penalty.]

[Please note: instant death penalties aside from 'sinner voluntarily confessing' can be offset by shelters, but any form of offsetting instant death penalty is effective only once.]

[Upon a player's death, the Gold Coins they carry will first belong to players of their community. Others seizing Gold Coins will be considered a violation.]

[Upon a player's death, if there are unredeemed Gold Coins, other players in the same community can continue to redeem them.]

[When all players in a community die within the game, all Gold Coins of that community will be evenly divided among all players (including Inner Court Players and Audience).]

Upon hearing this, many players found it hard to control their expressions.

Although it was known from the start that the game's rules would be extremely ruthless, possibly resulting in many deaths, no one expected so many death rules would be present.
