Far away from the events unfolding outside, Lin Xuan Qi and his servants were hard at work in the garden.

He had rolled up his sleeve and tried to lift a stone away from his path.

The stone was half his height and twice as wide.

His hands fidgeted while he said so.

The imagery of these creatures still gave him fear.

He had never seen something like it before.

"Half-man, half-beast?" Lee He Song pondered and held his hand on the kid's shoulders, "Are there any others that broke out of the prison?"

"I'm not too sure. We had to run for our lives after we saw those creatures." The kid replied and shook his head.

"Thanks." Lee He Song took out some copper coins and handed them over to the kid.

It seemed like it was something out of his hands.

As a martial arts fighter, there was only so much he could do.

He sent the kid on his way and got back to where Lin Xuan Qi was.

"Master Lin..." When he got back to the pavilion, Lee He Song greeted Lin Xuan Qi, got close to Lin Xuan Qi and whispered what he knew to Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi frowned when he heard what had happened.

He glanced at Lee He Song and hesitated.

If he agreed to Lee He Song's request to check on Liu Ju Zheng, he wasn't sure if Lee He Song would be safe from what was happening outside.

Lee He Song saw his concerns and gave him a smile.

"Let this old man do what he wants. I don't have much time left anyway." He patted Lin Xuan Qi on his shoulder and said.

He envied Liu Ju Zheng to have such a loyal friend who was willing to risk his life for him.

"Don't let the sisters know." Lee He Song said while he glanced at Yue Jie and Yue Xin who were resting a distance away.

"Shi Shi." Lin Xuan Qi called out for Liu Shi Shi.

"Come with me." He stood up and walked towards the main hall.

Liu Shi Shi didn't know what he was up to but followed closely behind him.

They reached the main hall alone as the other servants were in the garden.

She hadn't been alone with him for quite some time, and it made her nervous and happy at the same time.

He had been spending so much more time with Xue Cong and Yue Jie than her.

But her happiness was short-lived.

"I need you to double up on the guards.

"Things are happening outside the mansion as we speak."
