Liu Shi Shi thought that it would be great if she was privy to be the first one to hear a poem from Lin Xuan Qi.
Enjoying his tea, Lin Xuan Qi wasn't too interested in reciting a poem.
"Come on. We've got nothing much to do anyway." Liu Shi Shi twirled her hair and gave out a yawn.
She put her head down onto the table and sighed.
With her bending forward and resting on the tabletop, her figure was obvious, and Lin Xuan Qi had to take his glance away from the abyss.
Liu Shi Shi saw what he did, and she pretended to sit up and yawn again. After which, she placed her hand on the tabletop and rested her head on her hand.
Looking out of the door, she could only see the scenery outside to help with the boredom.
"It's boring..." Liu Shi Shi finally had enough and she tried to get Lin Xuan Qi to recite a poem again.
"Boring? I'm enjoying the peace and quiet actually." Lin Xuan Qi put down his teacup and replied.
Liu Shi Shi twitched her mouth and thought for a moment.
When Lin Xuan Qi saw her doing that, he didn't have a good feeling.
She must be up to something no good. He thought.
And he was right when Liu Shi Shi stood up and said, "Let's make a deal."
He frowned and said, "What deal?"
"I can teach you a stroke from my Thunder Rain Sword Style and you shall recite a poem."
Liu Shi Shi was persistent and eager to get a poem from Lin Xuan Qi.
After he gave out a sigh, Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head.
He thought that it wouldn't hurt for him to learn more martial arts to protect himself.
As for another poem, he had an abundance of them in his mind, so he wasn't too anxious about it.
"Come, let's get started." Liu Shi Shi got out of the main hall immediately, eager to get it over and done with.
She expected to show Lin Xuan Qi how to do a stroke once or twice, with him trying hard but not able to grasp the essence of it and give up.
Lin Xuan Qi followed behind her and watched as she drew out her sword from her belt.
"Watch closely."
She took a deep breath, stabbed the sword at the ground, and took a step forward.
Just as fast as she made the move, she turned the sword upwards and thrust it diagonally upwards.
Leaves which were falling from the trees, broke into pieces from a gust of wind that had shot out from the tip of the sword.
Liu Shi Shi then briefed Lin Xuan Qi how she did it step by step.
After she was done, she handed the sword over to Lin Xuan Qi.
"Try and execute what I've told you."
Lin Xuan Qi nodded and took a deep breath.
He stabbed the sword downwards, took a step forward, turned the sword upwards and thrust it diagonally with all his might.
The sword whirled as it swayed from side to side.
There was no gust of wind coming out from the tip of the sword.
Lin Xuan Qi sighed and consoled himself that it was normal not to be successful the first time, even with the system's help.
Liu Shi Shi couldn't help herself but was astonished with what Lin Xuan Qi did.
Back then, it took her a few months of practice for her to be able to make the sword's blade sway from side to side.
And yet, Lin Xuan Qi was able to do so.... after the first try.
Liu Shi Shi got excited, and she wanted to see how far Lin Xuan Qi could go.
She came close next to him, held his hand holding the sword with one hand and wrapped around his waist with her other hand.
"You have to feel your qi from the dantian, and bring it up to your hand when you thrust the sword upwards diagonally.
"Remember to twist your waist as you thrust the sword upwards."
Lin Xuan Qi could feel the softness brushing against him as Liu Shi Shi guided his hand as she spoke, and when it was time, her hand wrapping onto his waist slapped onto his back.
That caused the softness brushing against his body to jiggle a little.
If Lin Xuan Qi wasn't focused on learning the stroke his mind and body might have wandered somewhere else.
Although he didn't mind the 'bonus', he was also determined to be able to master the stroke.
"Now, try it on your own." Liu Shi Shi stood back after she let go of Lin Xuan Qi's hand and waist.
Lin Xuan Qi then began and tried again.
He took a deep breath, stabbed the sword downwards, took a step forward, turned the sword upwards.
This time before he turned and thrust the sword upwards diagonally, he drew from the meagre qi in his dantian and tried his best to guide it towards his hand.
He also twisted his waist as he thrust the sword upwards diagonally.
The blades didn't sway, and a small gust of wind came out from the tip of the sword's blade.
Liu Shi Shi gasped and felt that she was somehow taken advantage of.
Why? She didn't expect Lin Xuan Qi to be able to master so much of it in such a short duration.
Now, even if Lin Xuan Qi recited his poem, she wouldn't feel as satisfied, somehow she was feeling that she was taken advantage of.
Liu Shi Shi bit her lower lips and said, "Quick, recite a poem."
"I need a drink after being under the sun." Lin Xuan Qi said.
He purposely wanted to see Liu Shi Shi getting anxious at him.
Maybe Liu Shi Shi was right after all.
It would have been too boring. Lin Xuan Qi thought.
He got back into the main hall, took his seat and picked up his teacup.
Liu Shi Shi fumed, sat down and downed her cup of tea in one mouthful.
"Well, where is my poem?" She glanced over to Lin Xuan Qi and said.
