F-ranker Sword Saint: My Soulbound Sword is Secretly SSS-tier!

Chapter 138: Auto-Forge

Daru glanced at the dark blue skies, his heart calming at the serene sight.

This wasn't his first time entering the realm at night.

However, this was the first time his battle-focused eyes laid upon the pale-silver moon from the middle of a city.

Being in Agaron allowed Daru to relax in a way he hadn't experienced before.

It was as though, aside from the fact that the roaming, Level 50 City Guards would ensure his safety, there was a mysterious something in the air that whispered: "Relax, nothing will be able to harm you here..." over and over again, making it impossible for him not to.

He couldn't help but remember a few articles he read about people deciding to live their lives in the Myriad Sword Realm.

Very rarely would these people return to Neo-Earth, focusing on their careers, making a lot of money, and purchasing massive residences.

Only when they were content with what they achieved would they retire and focus on their lives in Neo-Earth.

Daru wondered how fun such a life would be.

Unfortunately, he was limited to six hours a day for now, plus he was unsure whether it would be wise to live such a life.

But he wasn't too worried.

He knew he would know what to do in due time.

For now…

Daru broke his gaze away from the peaceful night skies, shifting his attention to the tall woman in front of her.

She was massive, standing at around six feet three inches tall.

Her bulging muscles only added to her daunting appearance.

The only strange thing about her was her empty gaze, confirming that she was a Waykeeper.

Daru scanned her from head to toe, impressed at her physique.

"Hmm…is this why those people are calling this blacksmith 'Agaron's Muscle Mommy'?" he pondered.

While he couldn't understand why they would choose the word mommy, as he was certain the Waykeeper couldn't be their mothers, they at least got the muscle part right.

He also recalled that a majority of his schoolmates said they were willing to be pegged by her.

Daru found the context quite difficult to grasp, so he dropped it at the understanding that they were probably talking about the prices of her wares and services, or the security of being around her, just that they were using it in a socially acknowledged slang he wasn't aware of.

He thought that somebody might've seen her in combat and that she was strong.

Daru could see the possibility of such a thing.

Once he was done appreciating the tall female blacksmith's menacing physical appearance, he tapped on the [Forge] option, from which another window appeared, asking whether he wanted to use the [Auto-forge] function or the [Manual Forge] one.

Daru glanced at the inside of the blacksmith's workshop.

There were a lot of empty workstations.

In fact, not a single one was being used. Perhaps the place would be more lively in the morning.

However, Daru wouldn't go out of his way just to witness such a sight.

He shall watch the blacksmith bladeborns at work when fate allows.

He then focused his gaze on the [Auto-forge] option, tapping on it and prompting another window to appear that said:

==

Choose a mold:

-> Novice Equipment Mold (S)

==

He naturally selected the only option that was available.

In the next moment, a larger window opened beside the Auto-forge Window — the waykeeper's blueprint options, which he could purchase for a cheap 50 Swordcoins each for a one-time use blueprint.

Success or failure, the blueprint would be used up.

Daru had already seen the window in an online article. It wasn't too difficult for him to locate the row of the level forty steel armor.

Helm, Pauldrons, Chestplate, Gauntlets, Bracers, Greaves, and Boots.

These are the seven pieces of equipment Blacksmiths are responsible for.

There are also other wearable items like belts and mantles, but the Artisan Waykeeper is responsible for them, along with the twenty accessory slots.

For now, Daru's focus was to upgrade his equipment set and give himself better survivability against tougher opponents.

He can only take one or two solid hits before dying with what he currently has.

Since Daru was planning to enter the underworld and finally tap into the abilities of the trinket accessory he obtained from defeating King Carthur, the [Chip of Excalibur's True Edge], he had to replace his level fifteen B-tier equipment set with a more appropriate one.

He chose to take a head-to-toe approach, purchasing the blueprint for the level forty Steel Helm and dragging it from his inventory to the appropriate slot in the [Auto-forge] window.

He then placed the appropriate crafting materials: A unit of Steel Horn from the level 46 Steelhorn Skinks and the hide of a level 27 Warrior Warthog.

The [Forge] button should've lit up, but it didn't.

Daru frowned.

His patience ran thin, but he persevered, checking what could be wrong.

It was then that he noticed the words "Processed Hide" as a material requirement.

Daru finally remembered, snapping his fingers.

He closed the [Auto-forge] window first and looked for the [Tanner] Waykeeper.

The processing part was fairly straightforward and game-like, so it only took him around ten minutes to process all the [Raw Hide] in his inventory.

Only then did Daru return to Agaron's Muscle Mommy, opening the [Auto-forge] Window once more and dragging the appropriate components in their respective slots.

The [Forge] button finally lit up this time.

To his surprise, the moment he tapped on it, another window appeared:

==

Choose tier:

S = 0.05%

A = 0.77%

B = 3.52%

C = 10.93%

D = 25.74%

E = 40.32%

F = 60.21%

==

Right.

With the Auto-forge function, he could choose the tier of the equipment he wanted to forge, but the success rate is tied to the mold's level.

Since his goal for now was to level up the mold to give himself a higher success rate for the next few attempts, he chose the E-tier.

It had a fairly high success rate and doubled the experience points given by a successful forging of F-tier equipment.

The moment he pressed the [Start Forging] button, a prompt appeared, displaying the progress in percentage.

5%...26%...59%

In just five seconds, the forging was done, and another window appeared in front of him:

[Forging Failed…]

[You've lost 1 Processed Hide.]

[Steel Horn (1) has been deposited into your inventory.]

[Novice Equipment Mold (S) has earned 10 Experience Points.]

Daru's brows furrowed in displeasure.

However, he could only blame his bad luck, attempting once more.

[Forging Failed…]

[Steel Horn (1) has been deposited into your inventory.]

[Processed Hide (1) has been deposited into your inventory.]

[Novice Equipment Mold (S) has earned 10 Experience Points.]

His brows eased slightly.

Although the forging failed again, at least he didn't lose any crafting materials.

Finally, on his third try...

[Forging Success!]

[Steel Helm (E) has been deposited into your inventory.]

[Novice Equipment Mold (S) has earned 100 Experience Points.]
