F-ranker Sword Saint: My Soulbound Sword is Secretly SSS-tier!

Chapter 58: Crownbloom

Onimaru Kunitsuna…

This novice bladeborn was the talk of the world, but for various reasons, the hype was starting to die down.

First, quite some time has passed, and yet, still no one in the entire Neo-Earth could give half-decent information as to who the bladeborn was or where he or she was from.

People suspected that the government was suppressing Onimaru Kunitsuna's true identity.

There simply could be no other reason.

Second, at this early stage of their careers as bladeborns, no one could really meet him/her anytime soon yet.

The novices of this batch and the professionals could only take note of the name for now.

They were certain they would get a chance to at least get a glimpse of the mysterious bladeborn in the future, if the individual would still be relevant by that time, that is…

There were representatives in every batch, and, win or lose, the chosen one for each batch was easily identified: both identity and location.

They were either of the SS- or SSS-rank a majority of the time, and while there were a few times an S-ranker was chosen due to unique abilities that allowed them to level up quicker than even the SSS-rankers, those representatives usually fade in time, back to the shadows of the higher-rankers.

Plus, being the one with the highest level in the first two weeks wouldn't necessarily be the strongest bladeborn of the batch.

This was why it was pointless to talk too much about Onimaru Kunitsuna now, especially if the government was suppressing information about the individual.

If the bladeborn were a hidden SSS-ranker or at least had the potential to be one, they would emerge in due time, and the familiar name would resound once more.

They would then be able to finally see what he or she looked like.

Nonetheless, it was the mysteriousness that made Daru stand out among the other representatives in history—the fact that no one had been able to identify him yet.

Perhaps he was humanity's hidden ace, or something?

This was what a majority of the people would first think of when they heard the name mentioned.

As for the Southern Bladeborn Academy of Cluster 4, Lord Onimaru Kunitsuna could only take the backseat for now, as a new, legendary name of another mysterious bladeborn was emerging, becoming the hotter topic.

Okuni, the mad dog…the psychopathic B-ranker who dared assassinate an S-ranker.

People weren't sure if he was dumb, ignorant, or fearless, but either way, one would definitely have to have a few screws loose if one dared scheme and steal against the top-rankers.

Strangely, aside from their academy's moon fairy confirming the guy's existence, skills, and crazy personality, no one had claimed that the guy was from their class.

This was why his name spread like wildfire in the Southern Bladeborn Academy.

Meanwhile, the one largely responsible for making him famous was panicking, sprinting towards the registrar's office.

Moonpiercer knew she had to at least warn her benefactor that people would be coming for him.

Still, a part of her was confused. People were portraying Okuni as this demonic villain who schemed against Alopecion.

However, based on her interaction with the guy, she was certain that their opinion of him was exaggerated in the wrong direction.

Okuni had demonic skills with the sword, that one is correct, but his personality…

He seemed like an approachable and respectful guy.

Elune found it difficult to believe that he was the scheming type, especially after recalling that the guy could have easily chosen to kill the sunblade lionesses with the help of the putrid fang, yet still chose to fight them like a madman.

'Or is he actually a psychopath?' the thought crossed Moonpiercer's mind, causing her to shudder.

Although she had indeed met Okuni and conversed with him, how could she be sure that the guy wasn't a schemer?

She would have to get to know him on a deeper level before she could be certain…

Nonetheless, Elune benefited from the guy once, so she at least had to do her part and warn him, especially since she was the one who exposed his current location.

Moonpiercer soon arrived at the registrar's office, pulling the door open with urgency.

The moment she entered, however, she heard something that made her pale in horror:

"Hoh, you dare defy me, the guild master of Crownbloom? Little registrar officer? Don't you know we're one of the direct underlings of one of the Seven Sword Guilds, Ashen Crown?!" roared a bald middle-aged man at the poor female registrar officer, who was about to cry.

Moonpiercer naturally recognised who the guy was.

The guild master of Crownbloom…the guy could only be Baldwin Baldemar, Alopecion's father!

"It's all because of this damned academy's carelessness that my son lost a life! Now, since you bastards are unwilling to mete out punishment, I'll do it myself! Tell me the real name of this Okuni, or you know what will happen to your family…" Baldwin threatened.

Elune wanted to help the poor officer, but what could she do?

She simply decided to slip away, lest she get captured and interrogated.

The moment she was about to exit, however, the door behind her opened, and an old man and a woman in her late twenties entered, the former bald like Crownbloom's guild master.

Principal Jebroham and his secretary had dark, infuriated looks on their faces, certainly not appreciating Baldwin's rudeness.

Their brows rose when they noticed Moonpiercer.

"Oh? Perfect timing, Miss Elune. Please come with us for a bit. We need your help."

Elune paled even more.

"I-I…"

Unfortunately, she was but a novice born in an inferior family. How could she defy the principal and the raging guild master?

***

Meanwhile, inside the Crystal Hollows.

Daru stood with a curious expression in front of a glowing blue mural of a crystal inscribed in the bluish walls, about to reach out to touch it when, suddenly, a voice erupted behind him.

"Stop right there, Okuni!"

He naturally turned to look, furrowing his brows as he spotted two approaching bladeborns with trial names displayed in green text.

They were looking at him in a hostile manner atop their brown horses.

Beneath the words "Nutter" and "Taro" were titles, and above them were the words <Crownbloom>, displayed in magenta beside the small logo of a pink lotus.
