My Goblin System : Levelling up with my SSS Class Devouring skill

Chapter 155 (Bonus Chapters)

"No one ever does," Lyra replied. "But we plan anyway."

Seraphine's portal stabilized. "It's time. The gateway will only remain open for a few minutes."

Satou took one last look at his settlement—at the people he'd built this for, at the two women he loved, at everything he'd achieved since he had been reincarnated into this new world .

Then he stepped through the portal with Cassius beside him.

The last thing he saw before the gateway closed was Lyra and Jessica holding each other, both of them trying to be strong while tears streamed down their faces.

The portal deposited them on a hillside overlooking a vast valley. The transition was disorienting—one moment in his settlement with its familiar sights and sounds, the next standing in completely foreign territory.

But what territory it was.

Satou's enhanced vision took in the landscape spread before them, and his breath caught. The Fallen Spires dominated the valley—a massive city built vertically into and around the ruins of what must have once been an enormous cathedral or temple complex.

Massive stone spires rose hundreds of feet into the air, but they were broken, collapsed, leaning against each other at impossible angles. Yet instead of being abandoned ruins, they'd been repurposed.

Buildings had been constructed within the hollowed-out spires, between them, hanging from them by chains and magical suspension. The entire city seemed to defy gravity and logic, a three-dimensional maze of architecture that used the destroyed sacred site as its foundation.

The setting sun cast everything in shades of crimson and purple, making the city look like it was burning or bleeding. But as Satou's eyes adjusted, he realized that wasn't just the sunset—the city itself glowed with magical light in those colors, as if the entire structure was infused with some form of energy.

"Welcome to the Fallen Spires," Seraphine said, her voice carrying a mix of pride and weariness. "My domain. My home. Built from the ruins of what was once the Holy Cathedral of Seven Saints, destroyed in the great war three hundred years ago. We took their sacred ground and made it ours."

"It's..." Satou struggled for words. "It's incredible. And terrifying."

"That's the intention," Seraphine replied. "The Fallen Spires serves multiple purposes. It's a fortress, those collapsed spires create natural defensive positions and make conventional army assault nearly impossible. It's a city approximately fifty thousand residents call this place home. And it's a symbol proof that what the humans call holy can be claimed, transformed, and used by those they call demons."

She began walking down the hillside toward the valley, and Satou and Cassius followed. As they got closer, Satou could see more details.

The population was diverse, but heavily weighted toward certain types. Succubi were everywhere, beautiful women with small horns, wings of various styles, tails that swayed as they walked. They moved through the streets with confident sensuality, their clothing ranging from elegant gowns to minimal outfits that left little to imagination.

But there were also human women, elven women, beast-folk women, and various other races. All of them moving freely, all of them looking healthy and apparently content.

"Your territory is primarily female," Satou observed.

"Yes," Seraphine confirmed. "The Fallen Spires has become a refuge for women who don't fit elsewhere. Succubi, obviously, but also women fleeing abuse, persecution, or simply seeking a place where they can live on their own terms. My domain operates differently from traditional demon territories."

They reached the city gates, massive iron constructions set into the ruins of the original cathedral entrance. Guards stood watch ,all female, all heavily armed, all radiating enough power to be dangerous.

The guards immediately recognized Seraphine and dropped to one knee.

"Lady Seraphine," the captain said. "We weren't expecting your return so soon. Is everything—" She stopped, noticing Satou and Cassius. Her hand went to her weapon instinctively.

"At ease," Seraphine commanded. "These are my guests. Satou, provisional seventh-seat demon lord. And his companion Cassius. They're here to help with our... situation."

The guard captain's eyes widened. "Help with The Reaper? My lady, is that wise—"

"I'll be the judge of what's wise," Seraphine interrupted. "Escort us to the central spire. And summon my council. We have much to discuss and little time."

The guards moved immediately, forming an escort. As they entered the city proper, Satou got his first real look at life in the Fallen Spires.

The streets were busy with evening activity. Many of the businesses were what Satou expected from stories about succubi territories—establishments focused on pleasure, entertainment, and sensuality. Brothels were common, their signs advertising various specialties. Bars and taverns with performances visible through open doors. Shops selling clothing that emphasized rather than concealed.

But there were also normal businesses. Food vendors. Craftsmen working in smithies and workshops. Schools where young succubi were being taught magic. Healing houses similar to Jessica's facility. Libraries and study halls.

It was a city of contrasts—simultaneously dedicated to pleasure and function, to sensuality and civilization.

"You look surprised," Seraphine observed.

"I expected something more... I don't know. Corrupt? Debauched?" Satou admitted. "The stories about succubi territories usually focus on the pleasure aspects."

"Those stories aren't entirely wrong," Seraphine replied. "The Fallen Spires does operate a significant pleasure industry. Many of my people are succubi who need to feed on sexual energy and emotion—it's how we survive. But that doesn't mean we can't also build a functioning society. We have laws, governance, infrastructure, culture. We just happen to also have brothels."

She gestured to a group of women ,human and succubi mixed—who were laughing together outside a tavern. "Most of the human women you see here came as refugees or escaped slaves. They found safety, purpose, and community here. Many of them work in the pleasure industry by choice because it pays well and they're protected. But many others work in normal trades. We're a civilization, not just a collection of brothels."

They passed what was clearly a training ground, where female warriors were drilling with weapons and magic. Their technique was impressive—coordinated, professional, deadly.

"Your military forces are all female too?" Cassius asked.

"Mostly," Seraphine confirmed. "Men are welcome in the Fallen Spires, but they're a minority. Many find the atmosphere... uncomfortable. Too much female energy, too many succubi who view them as potential prey. The men who do stay tend to be either very confident or very submissive. We have perhaps five thousand male residents out of fifty thousand total."
