Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent

Chapter 143: Gang War (2)

The population difference between the Leon Brotherhood and the Black Brotherhood was vast.

The Leon Brothers numbered around three hundred or so, while the Black Brothers were barely up to half that amount.

This was because the other members were out carrying out their usual daily chores.

Tinubu had even sent out a few of his men to bring in the others, but given the distance they had to cover, they had not returned yet.

Given the circumstances, the Black Brotherhood was doomed to lose.

Yet, the Leon Brothers were already celebrating their victory, even though the war was still ongoing.

And to be honest, Tinubu had already lost hope.

"Will Bola and Ramson be able to find the hunters on time?"

The hunters.

Marlon, to be precise, was his only hope at this moment.

However, there were many what ifs surrounding it.

Were they still raiding? Would they even agree to help?

"TINUBU! SHOW YOURSELF!"

As he was lost in his thoughts, a thundering voice suddenly called out his name.

From the tone alone, he could immediately tell that it belonged to the Leon Brothers.

Tinubu gritted his teeth.

"Those bastards…"

If he had one wish, it would be to slaughter all of them. Not just for his own revenge, but as payback for the trouble they had brought upon all the innocent people living in this godforsaken dumphole of a place.

"I KNOW WHERE YOU'RE HIDING!"

The voice barked once again.

"I KNOW YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE WEAK, PATHETIC LEADERS WHO CARE FOR THEIR MEMBERS!"

What kind of leader would not care for his people? What was that fool even saying? Tinubu wondered, though he continued to listen.

"IF YOU SHOW YOURSELF, MAYBE WE MIGHT AGREE TO DISCUSS THINGS AND COME TO AN AGREEMENT!"

Tinubu scoffed.

Agreement?

The Leon Brothers' agreements were nothing more than slave contracts. Dozens of smaller gangs had fallen for their ploys in the past, and most of those gangs no longer existed.

That would never happen to the Black Brotherhood.

He clenched his fist tightly.

The gang his father had fought hard to create and maintain. The same gang that had taken responsibility for protecting the innocent people living on this side of the Deadlight District.

There was no way he would allow it to fall.

"YOU KNOW IF THIS WAR CONTINUES, VICTORY IS DEFINITELY OURS, SO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION!"

And that…

Even though he did not want to admit it, the owner of that voice was right.

"Fine…"

Tinubu stepped out of his hiding spot, his hands raised into the air in a clear gesture of surrender.

He took in the scene before him.

The fog in the area had mostly dispersed due to the explosions and the constant movement throughout the battlefield, leaving the devastation fully exposed.

The ground was riddled with charred dents and deep scorch marks, evidence of violent clashes that had taken place moments earlier.

Shattered debris littered the area, and even the nearby buildings had not been spared. Some had already crumbled into ruins, while others were still ablaze.

As for the Black Tower—

It seemed the Leon Brothers still had use for it, and for that reason alone, they had deliberately chosen not to destroy it.

Aside from that single structure, nothing else had been spared.

Amidst the destruction, the corpses of his gang members lay scattered across the ground.

Some were sprawled lifelessly where they had fallen, while others had been blown apart entirely, their bodies reduced to burnt and broken pieces that barely resembled human remains.

The air carried the stench of blood, smoke, and scorched flesh.

The sight made Tinubu's blood churn violently with anger and vengeance, his chest tightening as he struggled to keep his emotions in check.

These were men he had fought beside.

Men who trusted him.

Men who believed in the Black Brotherhood.

His fingers twitched slightly at his side, nails digging into his palms.

But what could he do?

He was weak.

Too weak to change the outcome that had already been decided on this battlefield.

Turning his gaze toward the brightly dressed Leon Brothers, he spotted a tall, massive man standing at the front, wearing a cheeky smile as he stared straight at him.

Calling him huge was an understatement.

He was a literal human giant, standing over nine feet tall, with the body structure of a bodybuilder pumped full of steroids.

He was terrifying, to say the least.

Tinubu's eyelids trembled slightly.

He knew exactly who this was.

The Third Big Leon, a member of the upper echelon of the Leon Brotherhood, popularly known as the White Giant.

In the Deadlight District, he was definitely among the top five strongest individuals.

And Tinubu?

He was not even among the top twenty.

"Haha… look at you…"

The White Giant roared with laughter, clutching his tattooed stomach with one hand while pointing at Tinubu with the other in a mocking gesture.

"I thought the Black Brotherhood, especially their cold and calm leader, would be fearless. Who would have thought you were all just spineless cowards hiding behind such an uncool name?"

The White Giant continued.

Hundreds of mocking laughs erupted from the Leon Brothers, their voices growing louder with every insult thrown by their superior.

The Black Brothers, hiding in different corners while observing the exchange, clenched their teeth and fists, barely holding themselves back from lashing out.

They turned their gazes toward their leader, who maintained a gentle expression despite his raised hands.

He simply stared at the Leon Brothers and allowed them to continue.

And continue, they did.

Minutes passed as they hurled insults at the Black Brotherhood and even their founders.

Eventually, seeing no reaction from Tinubu, the White Giant raised a hand, halting the laughter. His expression turned serious.

"I will go over our demands once again," he said.

"Tell us the location of the hunters and hand over all the loot."

He paused briefly.

"But that might be too harsh, so I have decided on a new change."

The Black Brothers' ears perked up.

What was this new demand?

"Give us the hunters, and we will give you ten percent of the loot. Since you have already lost this war, we will seize fifty percent of your territory as payment for not killing you."

He smirked.

"And oh… lest I forget, my brother—the Smiling Sun—wants your Black Tower as well."

"No."

Tinubu did not wait for the White Giant to finish before refusing.

"Your deal is absurd. You are basically demanding everything the Black Brotherhood stands for. I cannot allow that to happen," he said in a firm, unwavering tone.

The Leon Brothers erupted instantly.

"What is that black monkey saying?"

"How dare he refuse an order from the Big Leons? He is clearly seeking death!"

"How bold. I heard men tend to become fearless when they know death is certain. He is no different."

The White Giant merely smirked.

"I expected you to refuse…"
