Overpowered Awakening: I Became Invincible With A Broken Talent

Chapter 146: Revenge (2)

Everyone heard his story.

They all felt it and understood his rage in that moment.

But what could not be understood was his power.

The aura he radiated caused violent reactions in the surroundings. The wind drifted chaotically, blowing dust that spread rapidly across the area.

But that was only the least of the effects produced by the power being released.

And fortunately, all of it was directed toward his enemies, the Leon brothers.

"I-I can't breathe!"

"What is happening… I have never felt this way before. What is that kid doing?"

"Mommy!"

The Leon brothers experienced an unbearable chill at that moment.

It was similar to what they had felt from Marlon, but it carried far more indescribable effects.

While Marlon had made them terrified, making them feel like prey standing before a powerful predator, Draven made them feel as though they had already been captured and were on the verge of being devoured.

Marlon observed everything with growing interest.

As a fellow wielder of such oppressive power, he could easily tell that the skill Draven was using was Fear, or something closely related to it.

And that alone made him curious to learn more about it.

However, while Marlon was intrigued, the same could not be said for the others around him.

The Black Brothers watched in silence, frozen in place.

The hunters were unable to speak as well.

Even though they were not the ones being targeted, they could still feel the unnatural chill that had seeped into the atmosphere.

But the most unfortunate of all was the white giant, as he was standing closest to Draven.

"K-Kid, you've got the wrong idea…"

The giant crawled backward, desperately trying to create distance between himself and the terrifying boy.

"I wasn't the one who killed your father."

He confessed.

"You weren't…"

Draven responded calmly as he continued taking slow steps forward, closing the gap between them.

The white giant seemed slightly relieved upon hearing those words.

Almost immediately, thoughts of fleeing surfaced in his mind. He needed to escape and inform his brothers about this threat so they could begin finding a way to eliminate him.

But before those thoughts could fully settle, Draven continued.

"You were there… I was unfortunate enough to witness everything."

Fuck!

The white giant cursed inwardly.

But beneath his shock lay confusion. On the day DeAndre Moonshade was killed, no one else was supposed to be present. They had made sure of that, as they needed to fabricate a convincing story surrounding his death.

Yet somehow, his child had been there.

"You didn't just kill him, you tortured him… He even pleaded with all of you. He was ready to give everything away just to take care of his children."

"I heard everything that day. You were the one who personally refused his plea. You told him that a man like him did not deserve to have offspring."

Draven continued recounting the traumatic moment he had been forced to experience at such a tender age.

The very experience that had left him numb to almost everything.

The white giant's confusion only deepened as those words sank in.

He was guilty of every single thing, and there was no way he could talk his way out of it. That much was clear from the look in the boy's eyes.

What should he do.

The important question appeared.

FIGHT

And something within him screamed.

But when he turned to look at Draven, when he saw the suppressed coldness and rage in his eyes, his instinct changed.

FLEE

But how could he?

He tried to fight, but his body did not allow him.

He wanted to flee, but every form of willpower within him was lost.

But he fought harder.

He could not die here, not now, not ever.

And so he rose up from the ground and was about to flee.

When…

The ground beneath him trembled.

And before he could grasp what was going on, chains forged from hardened rock sprouted from the ground and clung onto his foot in a split second.

They crept over his body like venomous serpents, and in a moment, the giant was forced to his knees, bound by chains like a prisoner on the verge of execution.

His eyes widened.

He struggled to free himself, but nothing seemed to budge.

And then a wave of helplessness struck him at once.

His eyes moistened.

In front of death, even titans would cry.

And witnessing their boss in such a submissive pose, the entire Leon Brothers' demeanor fell, and they all felt the claws of death closing in on them.

And shockingly, none of them could budge. Despite the danger, their bodies were unwilling to heed their commands.

"Fascinating…"

Was all Marlon had to say about what he was witnessing.

He noted everything he had witnessed so far — the red aura and now earth manipulation.

What exactly Draven's talent entailed was still unknown to him.

"Where do you think you were going to?"

Draven asked the white giant in a chilly tone, and then he lifted his hand before he could respond.

He grabbed his neck.

The white giant flinched.

And then he suddenly froze.

Not voluntarily, but from the pain that was being channeled throughout his body from his neck.

The pain was indescribable.

It froze his nervous system and made him unable to react or move.

It was as though, all of a sudden, he had become a prisoner in his own body.

It was torture.

Draven continued inflicting pain with the skill he had obtained a few days ago.

He had purposely saved it for this special occasion.

He left it active for about two minutes.

At that moment, all the orifices of the giant began to bleed.

Not just his facial openings…

His pants were soaked red, with blood dripping from his two lower body openings.

Even upon seeing this scene, Marlon was baffled.

What sort of skill was this?

He had never seen or heard of anything like it.

Some of the onlookers immediately shielded their mouths with their hands as all color drained from their faces.

As they looked at Draven, they saw something else — a demon.
