Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 125: Rank 3 Quest III

Lazzarus, the Half-Dragon Lord of the Eternal Well, revealed his true form from the very beginning.

The knights and maids retreated to the edges of the chamber, calm and composed. They did not interfere.

They had seen this before.

Lily didn't need protection.

Around her, over a hundred Death Lords stood guard, their auras layered like fortress walls, reinforced continuously by Mythical Liches chanting in perfect unison. Curse matrices rotated in the air, overlapping defensive arrays making her position nearly untouchable.

Breaking through her guard would require power far beyond ordinary logic.

Lazzarus inhaled.

The air screamed.

A dragon's breath—compressed annihilation—erupted forward, flooding the hall in white-hot destruction.

Before it could reach her, Death Lords stepped forward.

Black shields rose.

Void barriers stacked.

Soul-anchored wards flared.

The breath slammed into the defenses and dispersed violently, ripping apart dozens of undead—

Only for them to reassemble mid-air.

Lily raised her hand.

"Advance."

The undead army moved as one.

Liches lifted their staffs, chanting in layered harmonics. Thousands upon thousands of curses descended at once—decay, erosion, mana corrosion, soul bleed, gravity bind, vitality drain.

The air around Lazzarus darkened.

Wraith Kings phased through space itself, their blades slicing at the dragon's soul rather than flesh. Ghoul Kings leapt forward in tidal waves, their claws tearing at scales while injecting necrotic plagues that spread instantly.

Bone Titans slammed their fists into the ground, sending shockwaves upward that shattered defensive runes carved into the floor.

Lazzarus roared.

The sound alone crushed weaker undead into dust.

But Lily's passives activated.

Reinforcement.

Reconstitution.

Mass Undead Empowerment.

The fallen rose again—stronger.

Chains of death wrapped around Lazzarus's limbs as Death Lords struck in coordinated patterns, each blow amplifying the next. Mythical Liches layered curse amplification on top of curse amplification, stacking effects that should have been impossible.

The dragon's movements slowed.

His scales dulled.

His breath faltered.

"This—!" Lazzarus snarled, wings beating furiously. "This many curses—!"

Thousands more detonated at once.

The chamber trembled violently as the dragon was driven backward, his massive body crashing into the far wall.

Lazzarus had been defeated many times before.

But never—not once in his long, imprisoned existence—had he been defeated this easily.

The realization alone filled him with rage.

With a thunderous roar, he forced his remaining power outward and entered a berserk state. His scales burned crimson, mana erupting violently from his core as he tried to overwhelm everything in front of him.

But against Lily—

It backfired.

The Berserk Curse twisted his strength into self-destruction.

Soul Confusion shattered his control.

Feedback surged through his body, tearing at his own essence.

He was damaging himself faster than the undead could.

Five minutes later—

Lazzarus collapsed.

His massive body slammed into the ground, wings torn, scales shattered, blood pooling beneath him. Thick chains of death wrapped around his neck and limbs, Death Lords pinning him down without effort.

He could no longer resist.

Lily stepped forward.

Black miasma condensed in her palm, dense enough to warp the air around it. She raised her hand, aimed at the glowing core in his chest—

—and released it.

The blast pierced through.

The core shattered.

Lazzarus's eyes dimmed as his body dissolved into drifting ash.

"I did get a new talent," Lily muttered, dismissing the system screen, "but it's not that impressive."

She sighed, then opened her talent panel again and focused on the her first talent to see what mana amplication have unlocked now.

Mana Amplification: 10,000%

Lily said, smiling faintly. "That's great."

At that moment, the maid stepped forward and bowed gracefully.

"Congratulations, my lady, on your advancement," she said warmly.

Lily nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you."

She glanced once more at the now-silent dungeon floor, then turned away.

"Let's go back."

The return trip was swift.

The dungeon gate released them, and the escort knights immediately formed ranks around Lily as the carriage was prepared. Word of her successful advancement spread quickly among the attendants, though none dared speak too loudly.

Soon, the carriage rolled through the grand streets of Reiner City, passing towering buildings, floating sigils, and magical constructs that bowed subtly as she passed.

Before long, they arrived at her mansion.

The gates opened at once.

Lily stepped out, her red dress fluttering slightly as she entered the familiar halls. Servants bowed deeply, already informed of her success.

She walked calmly inside, her expression composed—but her eyes held quiet satisfaction.

Lily returned to her room, lay down on the bed, and logged out, her consciousness slipping back into the real world.

When she stepped out of her room, she found Mike sitting at the table, focused on his laptop, scrolling through something.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Nothing much," Mike replied without looking up. "Just checking the latest information about the continent we're on."

Lily nodded, then added casually, "By the way, I've reached Rank 3 now."
