Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 126: Rank 3 Quest IV

"Congrats," Mike said with a smile.

Lily nodded, then Mike asked, "So… how much can you increase other people's mana now?"

"Guess," Lily chuckled.

"Last time it was 1,000% from the base 100%," Mike said thoughtfully. "So I'm guessing it's 10,000% now?"

Lily pouted. "How can you guess so accurately?" She sighed, then nodded. "Yeah, it's 10,000% now. It also comes with a 30% increase in mana quality."

As she spoke, Lily took his hand and placed her finger on the small drop of mana on the back of his hand. The mana shifted instantly—boosted to a 10,000% increase, with an additional 30% improvement in purity.

In an instant, Mike felt his mana surge, expanding and partially liquefying as its purity rose. He smiled in amazement. "This is really great. No matter how many times I feel it, it's incredible."

Lily nodded in agreement.

"So, what rank did you get for the completion rating?" Mike asked.

"SSS+," she replied. "Just like you said. I did gain another talent too—it's called Heart of Death—but it's not that great."

Mike shook his head. "Even talents that seem weak can be deadly in the right hands, you know."

Compared to her SS-rank, limitless Fountain of Mana—now enhanced to absurd levels—any other talent naturally felt lackluster by comparison.

"So, what can it do?" Mike asked.

"Hm… it allows my undead to grow stronger," Lily said. "And I can copy some skills from any five of my undead."

Mike stared at her, then burst out laughing. "You call that weak?" He shook his head. "Just imagine this—if you create undead from monsters with really broken skills. Like, um… something like a Gold-Eating Golem that can consume metals and reinforce its body with them, or something along those lines."

Lily blinked, then nodded slowly. "Huh… you're right. I should look for some really strong monsters and turn them into my undead, then take their skills."

Mike grinned. "Exactly. That talent has insane potential."

"Okay then," Lily said with a small smile. "I'll start looking for good candidates."

"Alright. Then I'm going to get my Rank 3 quest done too," Mike said.

"Best of luck," Lily replied.

"Thanks," Mike nodded, then left for his room. Once inside, he lay down on the bed and logged into the Origin World.

When his vision cleared, he found himself inside the inn at Hyrun City once again.

Mike stretched as the familiar warmth of the inn faded from his senses. The muffled sounds of Hyrun City filtered back in—merchants shouting, adventurers laughing, steel clanking against stone.

He exhaled slowly.

"Rank 3 quest…" Mike muttered. "Let's get this done."

After half a day of travel, Mike finally reached the Tyrant King's Kingdom. Before him stood a massive dungeon gate, its entrance surrounded by dozens of guards—each of them Rank 8. This was an early Rank 8 kingdom-themed dungeon, not something an ordinary Rank 3 would ever step into.

It was a story-driven dungeon.

Which meant strength alone wouldn't be enough.

Fortunately, Mike had already memorized everything about this place.

"Are you sure you want to enter?" one of the guards asked, frowning as he glanced at Mike's rank.

Mike nodded calmly. "Even if it's story-driven, that doesn't mean it's simple or easy."

The guards exchanged looks but eventually stepped aside.

"It's fine. I can do this," Mike said, nodding once more as he moved forward.

He pushed open the massive stone slab sealing the dungeon.

The moment he crossed the threshold, his vision blurred.

When it cleared, he found himself lying on a rough bed inside a small wooden house. Outside, cold wind howled. Cries, shouts, and distant roars echoed through the village.

Mike looked down at his hands.

All his power was gone.

He was a mortal now.

"…Alright," Mike exhaled slowly. "As for my talent…"

He frowned in thought.

"Should I choose something stable… or take a risk?"

After a brief pause, he smirked.

"Forget it. Infinite SSS Gacha it is. Even if I pull a useless talent this week, I can always get another one next week."

Decision made.

Now for a skill.

He considered Black Flame Sword Art, but quickly shook his head.

"Too mana-intensive. Not worth it right now."

Instead, he chose something far more reliable.

Grand Weapon Mastery.

A passive skill—but a terrifyingly powerful one.

[ Skill Selected: Grand Weapon Mastery ]

• While using any weapon, attack power increases by 40%

• Attack speed increases by 20%

• Critical hit rate increases by 10%

• 10% chance for the weapon to awaken an additional skill or option ]

[ You have made your choice ]

[ Based on your choice, a weapon has been granted to you ]

A long steel sword suddenly appeared in front of him.

It was only Common rank—simple, unadorned, and ordinary.

Outside, the cries began again.

"Okay then," Mike muttered, tightening his grip. "Let's roll the gacha."

He activated Infinite SSS Gacha.

The familiar gacha wheel materialized, spinning wildly as it picked up speed, its clattering sound echoing like the roar of a beast being unleashed.

The wheel slowed.

Stopped.

[ Weekly Talent Acquired: Beast Overlord ]

[ Effect: ]

• You can tame any creature

• All tamed creatures under your control have their stats increased by 1000%

• If a tamed creature reaches a certain level, you may evolve it into a humanoid form

Mike's eyes widened.

"…That's not a bad pull at all."

He stood up from the bed and realized his body was wrapped in bandages.

He had expected this—this was how the dungeon always began. In this story-driven scenario, he was one of the injured survivors rescued by the villagers. From here, he would help defend them and begin his adventure.

Mike stepped outside and immediately found the village already facing a monster tide. Cries and clashing steel filled the air.

Without hesitation, he moved forward.

Gripping his long sword tightly, Mike joined the villagers and guards at the front line, raising his blade as he charged into the fight.
