Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 134: New Wolf

The moment the alpha lowered his head, the other wolves whimpered and quickly followed, lowering their heads as well.

Mike smiled.

He walked up to the massive wolf and gently placed a hand on its head.

"Tame," he murmured.

His class crest flared to life, golden light spreading from his hand as the contract formed. The bond settled instantly, deep and absolute.

The white wolf did not resist.

[ You have successfully tamed White Dire Wolf Alpha ]

[ White Dire Wolf Alpha has been added to your tamed beasts list ]

Mike nodded in satisfaction.

With a tamed beast contract formed, he could now summon the wolf at any time.

He rested his hand on the alpha's head once more.

"Bloodline Refining," he said calmly.

Golden mana flowed from his body and poured into the wolf. Normally, refining a forest wolf's bloodline wouldn't require much mana—but this one was different. The moment the process began, Mike felt a far greater drain than expected.

A deep tremor ran through the wolf's body.

The alpha whimpered, its muscles tightening as its bloodline was forcibly refined and elevated.

"Endure it," Mike said firmly. "You'll become much stronger."

The white dire wolf let out a low, pained growl but did not pull away. It endured the agony, trusting the will that now bound them.

Golden light seeped into its veins.

Something ancient stirred.

After several tense moments, the light faded—and a system window appeared.

[ Your White Dire Wolf Alpha's bloodline purity has increased ]

[ White Dire Wolf Alpha has obtained a trace of Spirit Wolf bloodline ]

[ New Skill Acquired: Spirit Cannon ]

The white dire wolf lifted its head and released a deep, resonant howl that echoed through the forest.

The other wolves shuddered, then bowed even deeper.

Mike smiled slightly.

"…Good."

"This is just the trailer," Mike said calmly. "I'll make you much stronger."

The wolf happily licked his hand in response, its tail swaying slightly.

"As for your name… it's Zephyr," Mike said.

The moment the name left his lips, the air trembled.

[ You have named your tamed beast: Zephyr ]

[ Zephyr is the first named tamed beast under your control ]

[ Hidden Condition Activated ]

Golden light erupted from Zephyr's body.

[ Zephyr has obtained the title: Miracle Knight ]

[ Zephyr's bloodline has been elevated to the highest latent trace within him ]

[ Zephyr is evolving… ]

Mike quickly stepped back as Zephyr's body was engulfed in surging mana. The surrounding wolves let out instinctive howls, their bodies pressed low to the ground as the evolution began.

"…Damn," Mike muttered, eyes widening slightly. "I didn't know giving a name could trigger a hidden effect like this."

He watched closely, curiosity and anticipation mixing as he stared at the unfolding transformation. At the same time, his gaze flicked toward the newly revealed title.

[ Miracle Knight ]

• The right hand and blade of the Tamer of Miracles

• Leader of all tamed beasts under the Tamer

• Growth rate increased dramatically

• Evolution speed greatly accelerated

• Will gain more skills and powers with each evolution

[ Talent Acquired: Gluttony ]

[ Gluttony ]

• Zephyr can devour the essence of fallen foes

• Absorbs their power and converts it into his own

Mike let out a slow breath, a sharp grin forming on his face.

"…Yeah," he said quietly. "You're going to be terrifying."

The golden light around Zephyr thickened, compressing inward like a collapsing star.

The howls of the surrounding wolves abruptly cut off.

Silence fell over the forest.

Then—

BOOM.

A shockwave rippled outward, flattening grass and bending trees as Zephyr's body expanded and reshaped itself. His white fur darkened into a silvery sheen, each strand glowing faintly as if etched with runes. His frame grew larger—far larger than before—his limbs long and powerful, muscles moving with smooth, unnatural grace.

Crystalline markings formed along his legs and spine, glowing a soft azure-gold. His eyes opened.

They were like shiny blue Sapphire.

Mana surged violently, then stabilized into a deep, ancient pressure that made even Mike instinctively tense.

A new notification appeared.

[ Evolution Complete ]

[ White Dire Wolf → Spirit Wolf ]

[ Grade: Legendary ]

[ Title: Miracle Knight — Active ]

[ Bloodline: Spirit Wolf Emperor ]

Zephyr lifted his head and released a low howl—not loud, not wild—but commanding.

The surrounding wolves dropped instantly, pressing their foreheads to the ground. Some trembled. Others whimpered. None dared to look up.

Mike narrowed his eyes slightly.

"…Spirit Wolf," he murmured. "Legendary grade already."

Zephyr turned toward him and stepped forward. With each movement, his paws barely touched the ground, as if the air itself supported his weight. A faint mist of spirit mana trailed behind him.

A clear voice echoed directly inside Mike's mind.

'Master.'

Mike stiffened for half a second.

"…You can talk?"

'It's spirit communication. I awakened it when I evolved,' Zephyr replied.

Mike reached out and patted his head. The fur was different now—far softer and thicker than before, almost unreal to the touch.

"Whoa… this feels like premium cotton now," Mike muttered, unconsciously sinking his fingers into the fluffy fur.

Zephyr leaned closer, pressing his head against Mike's chest. His tail swayed slowly, his posture filled with affection and absolute loyalty as he looked up at Mike.

Not long ago, he had been nothing more than an ordinary wolf—just another alpha struggling to survive.

Now, he had gone far beyond that.

Beyond an alpha.

Beyond a dire wolf.

And it was all thanks to his new master.

Zephyr closed his eyes for a moment, silently imprinting that truth into his very spirit.

Mike exhaled softly and turned his gaze toward the other wolves still kneeling in the clearing.

One of them—another strong alpha with dark gray fur—was watching him carefully, fear and respect mixed in its eyes.

Mike raised a hand.

"Come here," he said calmly.

The wolf hesitated only for a moment before stepping forward and lowering its head.

Mike placed his palm on its forehead.

"Bloodline Refining."

Mana flowed out—far less violent than before. Unlike Zephyr, this wolf's bloodline was ordinary, and Mike had no intention of pushing it beyond its limits. The refinement strengthened its body, sharpened its instincts, and stabilized its growth.

The wolf trembled briefly, then steadied.

When it lifted its head again, its presence was noticeably different—stronger, calmer, wiser.

"You'll be the alpha here," Mike said. "Live in this forest. Protect it. Don't harm humans unless they attack first."
