Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 79: Fourth Talent II

Jordan stared at the three solid drops of water Mike placed on the table.

"You want to auction these?" he asked, looking curious at the seemingly frozen solid water drops.

Mike nodded. "Just use your appraisal. You'll be surprised."

Jordan picked up one of the drops and activated his skill.

[Drop from the Limitless Fountain of Mana]

Effect: Permanently increases the user's mana by 30%

Restriction: None — usable by anyone

"F–FUCK!" Jordan shouted, jumping to his feet. "This… this increases mana permanently by thirty percent?! And there's no restriction at all?! Even Rank 6 users can use this!"

He stared at Mike in disbelief, his hands trembling.

No wonder he's shining so brightly… Jordan thought. This guy is walking treasure.

"Mike," he said quickly, "how about coming with me to Lionheart City?"

Mike tilted his head. "Lionheart? That's a Rank 6 city, right?"

"Exactly," Jordan nodded eagerly. "It's also where the main branch of the Glorious Merchant House is located."

He leaned forward, excitement building. "If we auction these there, we'll get the maximum possible value. And since you're the one supplying them, my grandfather—the head of the entire Glorious Merchant House—won't charge you much in auction fees."

Mike blinked. "Wait… your grandfather is the owner of the whole Glorious Merchant House?"

Jordan grinned. "Yep. Every heir is sent to manage a lower-ranked city branch of the Auction house to gain experience. I was assigned here. Once a year, we all gather for the grand auction at the main branch."

He continued, growing more animated. "Lionheart City is a Rank 6 city. It has abundance of legendary-tier items, skill books, all thanks to six Rank 5 dungeons and even a dungeon of Rank 6. "

"And as you know from Rank 5 the driop rate of Legendary rank drops increases drastically" Jordan said and then pointed at the drops.

"But such thing are not available there, they have temporary ones but one that permanently increases the mana is Fantasy" Jordan said "So, if we auction it there, where there are many Rank 6 families, guilds and other organisation you can get profit easily thousand if not ten thousand times of what you might get here"

Mike nodded slowly, understanding the weight of it.

"So if we leave tomorrow," Jordan said, "we can easily put your items into the grand auction."

"Okay. I'm coming," Mike replied, then added, "But can I bring my family with me?"

Jordan nodded. "How many people?"

"Me, my little sister, my mom, and my dad," Mike said.

"Hm… four people is fine. I've easily eight extra spots, so that's no problem. Your family can stay at my mansion in Lionheart City until the auction ends. The main auction lasts three days, with the final day being the most important—where the highest-value items are sold."

He paused, then added, "Lionheart City is a Rank 6 city, after all. There are plenty of legendary items and high-level buyers there."

Mike nodded. "You said eight extra spots. Can I bring three more people?"

"Sure," Jordan replied casually, his eyes still drifting back to the glowing water drops on the table.

"Do you have a mana contract?" Mike asked, noticing the greedy gleam in Jordan's eyes.

"I do," Jordan replied, pulling out a thick stack of contracts. "You can take all if you want. Consider it a thank-you for this opportunity."

"Thanks," Mike said, taking one. He pricked his finger slightly and began filling in the details.

Once finished, he slid it back across the table. "Sign it."

Jordan read the contract and then signed without hesitation.

The moment the contract was completed, it dissolved into light, binding the agreement between them. Neither could betray the terms without suffering severe fatal consequences.

"Now we're bound," Jordan said with a grin. "Neither of us can break the deal."

"I can get you a sixty percent increase," Mike said calmly.

Jordan's eyes widened. "You mean… a sixty percent permanent increase?"

Mike nodded.

Jordan stared at him in disbelief. "Then what do you want in return?"

"Hm… how much authority do you actually have in your family?" Mike asked.

"I'm from the direct line," Jordan replied. "So… quite a lot."

"Good," Mike said. "Then I want a dragon egg—the higher the rank, the better. I also want necromancy skill books, as many as you can get, but only Legendary or Mythical rank."

He paused, then added, "And I want every Legendary or Mythical knight and summoning skill you can obtain."

Jordan frowned, thinking carefully. "If we measure it against the value of that 60% permanent mana increase… I can get you all of that, and possibly more. But only if it's being sold to my family."

He let out a slow breath. "Just for me, it's a massive amount. I can't personally cover something of that scale unless I use the family's full authority, which I can't as I am not the family head."

He looked at Mike seriously. "Even with my position, this is pushing the limit."

"Then who can?" Mike asked.

"My grandfather," Jordan replied.

Mike sighed. "I doubt I can make him sign the same kind of contract you did."

Jordan nodded. "That's true. But I can arrange a private meeting with him. You can use that chance to negotiate directly."

Mike shook his head slightly. Your grandfather is a legendary figure who single-handedly built a Rank 6 family, he thought. I doubt I'll have much leverage in front of someone like that.

Jordan continued, "Still, with just the value of those three drops, you'll already be incredibly wealthy. In Lionheart City, there's even a Rank 5 dragon-type dungeon. Dragon materials circulate there fairly often, so getting a dragon egg isn't impossible."

He paused, then added, "You can also set special auction conditions. For example, you can say that anyone bidding must include a dragon egg along with their bid—or add a specific item of equivalent value."

Mike looked at him, surprised. "You can do that?"

"Of course," Jordan nodded. "For Mythical-rank items, special conditions are common. Someone might only accept an exchange for another Mythical item, or a specific artifact. If the value matches—or exceeds—it, the deal goes through."

He smiled faintly. "It gives you a lot of leverage."
