The Houses that had suffered from Rahu from the Yvaris were the same; some were rageful, some were mourning, and some were gloating.
They, too, began to prepare for a meeting to decide the next course of their actions.
…
Meanwhile,
From the Holy Sun Empire, an invitation was sent across all the Houses. Inviting them for a meeting, they were equally flabbergasted by the news and hastily sent a special invitation to the Divine Sword Sect; after all, they didn't accurately know his location.
In the middle of the base of the Holy Sun Empire, inside a luxurious tent.
"Prince Severin, I greet your majesty." From outside the tent, a voice echoed. Severin raised his brows and spoke in an authoritative tone.
"Come Inside"
Two men in their mid-twenties hurriedly walked in and bowed at Severin. After all, he was the sovereign prince of the Holy Sun Empire and also the son of the Empress and Emperor.
"Speak, have you sent the invitation?" Severing spoke, hearing his words, the two servants immediately nodded.
"Yes prince, we have sent an invitation all over the other Houses, to gather for the meeting. Of course, to discuss the matters of Inheritance and that…man."
Prince Severin nodded in satisfaction, "We have to bring that man on our side, no matter what the price is. After all, my previous chances of becoming the crown prince were almost close to nil. If I can have that man's backing, it may be possible for me to contend for it," Severin spoke, his voice sounding full of hope.
"Yes, Prince! We have even sent a special invitation for the Divine Sword Sect! And specifically told them to bring that man with them." Hearing his words, Severin frowned.
"No, that won't be enough. Go with a team of a group of Origin Realm and offer some valuable gifts if necessary. Now go," Saying that, he dismissed them. The two cultivators bowed and hurriedly left.
Severing sighed and looked outside. The crimson sky was as ominous as ever. "What sort of being are you…Rahu? Heh, I can't lie, I'm a bit excited here."
…
The other Houses, when they heard the news of Rahu. They were shocked to say the least, and now there was an invite from the Holy Sun Empire, if this doesn't ring any bells…what does?
So, they all began their preparation. Cultivators were called back, and groups formed for the expedition.
After all, it was the order of Prince Severin. They couldn't ignore it, even if they wanted to.
…
After a few hours…
A few miles away from the base of the Holy Sun Empire, a massive tent was being built.
It was large and professional enough to meet the requirements of the meeting.
Inside the tent, there was a large round, with clear water and some snacks present on it.
Surrounding the table sat eight people. Consisting of both men and women, standing behind them were their strongest retainers and protectors.
At the head, Severin sat. His peak Origin Realm cultivation overpowers everyone present. Clearly, it was a show of authority.
Severing frowned when he saw the figure of Rahu being absent; he didn't expect that, despite his gifts and sincerity, that man didn't show up. He sighed and shook his head, his eyes sharpened as he looked at every figure present in this room.
Beside him sat a tall, handsome man; his hair was blood red. Clearly, he was from House Crimson, and standing behind him was his retainer with the same red hair. The only difference between them was the shade and intensity of their color.
Now, sitting opposite the prince was a beautiful woman with raven hair flowing down her waist. But the cultivators didn't dare look at her for too long. The murderous aura surrounding her was enough to deter every gaze.
She was Maryam, Maryam Umbra of House Umbra from the south. She, too, had received the invitation and had arrived here, despite her opposition.
Beside her sat another beautiful woman, her face was all smiling. But sheer pressure emitting from her being said otherwise. She was Rowena Bloodforge, heiress of the House Bloodforge and the sole daughter of Lyssandra Bloodforge.
Honestly, the authority and power she held were second only to the prince. It was because of her dangerous mother.
Sitting a bit away from her was one of the core members of House Rhaevira, the strongest cultivator present in their House at the moment. They hadn't yet figured out the location of Azaria, so they were left with no choice but to send this man.
He greeted the prince with a flattering smile on his face, clearly proficient in the divine arts of Bootlicking.
The heirs of the Houses were sitting at one side, and the other side had the strongest disciples from the three sects.
The first one, he was, of course, Rudra of the Burning Peak sect. He was smiling throughout the meeting. There was some sort of playful amusement dancing in his eyes.
Sitting beside him was Rhulgar, the current young leader of the Heaven Refining Body Sect. He was the most impatient. He was constantly speaking and barking about how long that bastard(Rahu) would come or how he couldn't wait any longer and stuff.
Even the woman, Ravia, who was standing behind him, was fed up. She had to constantly keep this oaf of a man in check. Or who knows what sort of nonsense he could speak.
And finally, beside Rhulgar. There sat another man with a sword mark on his forehead. His demeanor was calm; he was the quietest one in the room. There was a sword in his hand, silver and clean. He was the present strongest cultivator leading the Divine Sword Sect, and had arrived here after following the invitation. The Divine Sword Sect was basically celebrating; they weren't unfamiliar with The Rising Sword. That man had dominated the sect competitions while still being a Vital Core Realm cultivator! There was no way they could forget him.
"Hey! Bastard from the Divine Sword Sect! Why is that brat still not here?" Rhulghar spoke, his voice rough and hoarse. Elyon frowned when he heard that voice; his sword sharpened. Just as he was about to raise his sword, they all heard a playful voice.
"Did someone call for me?"
