T-The array broke apart in an instant!
BOOOM!!
In an instant, the war halted. All the cultivators present snapped their heads towards the giant door in the center.
The Origin Realm cultivators of other Houses looked at the gate in surprise and greed. The first one to rush was a Yaksha. He had a crazy grin on his face as he dashed towards the entrance. The mark on his forehead lit up as an incredible amount of heat spread from his body.
His speed tripled, and in an instant, he was in front of the huge gate, which was glowing. But to his horror, his hand, which was about to touch the gate, suddenly stiffened. He felt as if the space around him was sealed off.
Just as he was about to scream, an illusory figure slowly materialised above him.
The figure waved his hand, and the Yaksha was smashed to the ground. Injured heavily, but alive.
The Illusionary figure's face wasn't visible, and even his body was slightly transparent.
Severin frowned as he felt some kind of otherworldly pressure radiating from that figure. So, he waved his hand, signalling his men not to do anything foolish.
The leaders of the other Houses did the same, restraining their forces from making any foolish moves.
The Illusory figure just stood there quietly for a few seconds. When he saw that the chaos had calmed down, he nodded in satisfaction.
"I welcome all present cultivators to the grounds of Radiant Monarch God's Inheritance!" His voice was smooth; it was definately not a human's.
"R-Radiant Monarch…God!? W-Who is he!? Is he really a god…?"
"No way…this is. A GOD INHERITANCE!?"
"SHIT!! WHAT TYPE OF OPPORTUNITY IS THIS!?"
"T-THIS IS ONE IN A BILLION!!"
The cultivators below gasped and felt their knees go weak when they all heard the word god. Their eyes went deep green with greed.
Severin felt his heart beat quicken, drumming rapidly in his chest. Azaria lowered her Icy swords and turned in a certain direction—Rahu's direction. She was puzzled as to why he wasn't here yet.
After all, wasn't it far easier to just eliminate the competition where they have all gathered in a single place?
"Azaria! What shall we do?" Seri's figure flashed; she reappeared beside Azaria and asked curiously.
"...We wait"
One by one, all the women began gathering around Azaria and Seris, aside from the red-headed trio. They were all standing together, chatting among themselves.
Anaria, Lucy, and even Thalia, who had returned after a few discussions with the current Crimson House leader.
"Hm… Rahu isn't here. That means he wants us to wait." A voice echoed from behind. Miranthu's figure became visible, her hands drenched with blood alongside her hair.
Her gaze sharpened as she stood in front of them, "Listen carefully to that being's words. This isn't as simple as it appears."
All the women nodded and tilted their heads towards the direction of the Illusory figure.
After a few seconds, they finally heard the beings' voice.
"The Radiant Monarch God is a benevolent existence, his vision vast and his powers incomprehensible and unpredictable. His will alone is enough to flatten thousands of realms. Be grateful, mortals…for this is your greatest opportunity, a blessing that may never descend upon your fate again."
His voice echoed throughout the realm. They all gawked at him in awe and reverence. His words didn't contain one bit of arrogance in them. They were merely…facts.
The being looked at them again, floating on top of the gate; he didn't emit any aura. But just his presence was suffocating enough to prevent anything wrong. He then continued his words, and the crimson sky trembled ever so slightly.
"Yes, as you all are thinking. This is one of your greatest opportunities to obtain the Inheritance of the Radiant Monarch God." Saying that, he waved his hand. In an instant, the cultivators near the massive gate were pushed back several miles.
"W-What!?"
"H-Hey! I can't control my body!"
"How is he doing that!"
Even the Origin Realm cultivators were not an exception; they were all pushed back. Then suddenly, the being snapped his finger.
Hummmmmm—
MMMMMMMMRRRRRROOOOOOM
The gate began to shine uncontrollably, and to everyone's shock, it slowly began to disappear. And to everyone's horror, the gate vanished in an instant.
But before anyone could protest or say anything. A blinding light spread from the illusory figure; it was deep and heavy.
All of the present cultivators were blinded for a few seconds. And when they opened their eyes, they saw a huge tower behind the illusory figure.
It was huge, massive even. The tower pierced through clouds; it was, at the very least five to six miles tall and three to four miles wide.
"This is the Inheritance tower, one of the artifacts of the Radiant Monarch God. All the present cultivators, be they mortal or a peak experts who are accepted by the realm. All will get a chance to enter the tower. And, you don't have to worry. Due to the Radiant Monarch's benevolence, no one can die inside the Tower; you'll be teleported outside before your death."
Just as the Illusory figure's voice rang out, the cultivators below erupted in cheers.
"I-Is that true!? W-We aren't going to die in the Inheritance Tower!?"
"N-No way!! It's really the truth!"
"Hail the Radiant Monarch God!!!!"
The war was long forgotten by the present cultivators; their minds, already occupied by the words of that being. What was this? This…this was a God-sent opportunity!... Literally.
Severin frowned when he heard that, this…this certainly wasn't what he had expected.
Suddenly, Rahu's words echoed in his mind. His frown deepened, he was a bit confused here.
Towards the House Umbra.
"....Bitch, despite that emotionless expression on your face, you are no less than a fox!!"
Rowen spoke, her eyes twitching as she stood beside Maryam.
She had to admit it…this girl was far more cunning than she had expected. If her mother were here, she would surely nod in approval!
