"R-Rahu!?"
"Yours truly," Rahu smirked, seeing the shocked look on the girl's face was indeed something good to look at.
"You reckless girl, if you had asked me to teach you my martial arts, I would have already taught you."
Hearing his words, Zira blushed and hugged his chest deeper. She was way too embarrassed to face him right now.
Rahu chuckled as he watched her actions, and the pill's effects soon revealed themselves. Zira's shattered fists began to mend...fractured bones knit themselves back together, torn tendons reattached, and damaged nerves gradually regained their connectivity.
After a few minutes, Zira was fully healed. Rahu gently lowered her to the ground. The purple-head slowly stretched her arms and legs.
Before she could turn towards Rahu and say something, a large hand landed on her forehead.
"That was rough…and your stance was a mess. But you have the spirit. And that is the only thing that truly matters.
Just because you executed it poorly the first time does not mean you should falter the next.
Even my own stance is not perfect… and that is precisely what makes it special." Rahu laughed out loud when he said, because these were not his words. There were his masters, the only masters he had ever accepted.
Zira looked at Rahu's face, her eyes shining like stars in the sky.
"Master!!"
She threw herself at his chest, unable to bear it. This was the first time he had ever been so gentle to her…her poor heart was working overtime to regulate her happiness. So, she did the most normal thing a woman could do in this situation.
"What? Since when did you become so emotional?"
To his words, he only got a small nod on his chest.
They stayed like that for a few more seconds, until Rahu had to intervene. This girl wasn't budging at all!
"Alright, I have to go now, there are some other matters for me to handle," Rahu spoke, shaking his head.
"…Mhm. I know you have other women to see, right?"
Hearing her words, Rahu's eyebrows twitched.
"...Who is teaching you all this?"
"It was…Lucy, she told me to speak like this, whenever you are leaving," Zira spoke innocently with her pretty head tilted upwards. She was probably as confused as he was.
"That girl…I have to teach her a lesson!" Rahu made up his mind in that instant!
Soon, Rahu parted ways with Zira after some careful instructions.
…
In some other part of the tower.
Severin was fighting a large ape with a sword in his hand. He was bloodied from head to toe, but he kept on fighting it.
His [Sword Intent] flashed through the sky occasionally, injuring the beast. Finally, after an hour or so, the ape fell on the ground with a dull thud. Severin huffed and slowly sat on the ground, holding his sword tight.
"What sort of trials are these? The second trial itself was so difficult…what about the rest? How can one complete these while still being in the Origin Realm?" Severin muttered; he couldn't help but say those words.
The second trial itself had a peak Origin Realm demonic…No, these weren't demonic. They were something else entirely. Their strength was way above any normal peak Origin Realm beast.
"That's, of course, because they are not from this plane."
A chill ran down his spine, and he hurriedly turned back and sighed in relief.
"Rahu? Can you enter someone else's trials?" Severin asked in a confused voice. After all, he hadn't seen a single soul since his arrival. Hundreds of thousands of cultivators had appeared in this tower to participate and compete for the Inheritance.
"Just a small trick, and by the way, how did it take so long to defeat the monkey over there?" Rahu asked in a curious tone, pointing his finger at the…20 feet long ape.
Severin's eyebrows twitched at his shamelessness, but he swallowed the retort. After all, who knows what this madman would do? There were no other cultivators around.
"Its physique was unbelievably strong; even my [Sword Intent] barely wounded the ape. Let alone other attacks," Severin spoke in a frustrated voice.
"Man, you sure are disappointing for a royal." Rahu shook his head with a small smirk on his face.
"Oh shut up, and don't compare us common folks to your level." Severing spoke and popped a healing pill in his mouth.
"Anyways, why are you here?"
After a few minutes, his wound began to close. He finally gained the ability to walk normally.
Hearing his words, Rahu smiled mysteriously, "It is, of course, to get you the Inheritance."
"WHAT!?" Severin gasped in horror and shouted loudly.
"Yes, and shout like that once again and see if your mouth can function normally again."
Rahu nodded casually; his words brought another wave of confusion in Severin. He, of course, ignored the threat.
"But why!?"
"You are taking way too long for this. I have far more important matters in the Holy Sun Continent to attend to, and unless the Inheritance is claimed, there's no way this realm is opening anytime soon." Rahu said, his words almost choked the prince. What did he mean by having important matters? What could be more important than the Inheritance?
"Yes, and if you ask any further questions. I might just change my mind and choose that Crimson Guy," Rahu smirked.
"N–n-n-no!! I agree… I agree! But what do you need in return?" Severin hurriedly spoke, afraid that Rahu would change his mind.
"That…I will tell you when the time arrives. For now, you don't have to worry about that, and my demands won't be excessive."
Severin breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that. Although he was still sceptical about his words…he couldn't do shit.
So, he did the only thing he was capable of.
"Alright, you have my promise. As long as it isn't anything excessive, you have full support of this prince!" Severin spoke in a voice full of conviction.
"Mhm, now let's not waste any more time."
Saying that, Rahu waved his hand, and both of them disappeared. Severin felt dizzy for a moment, and he closed his eyes.
When he reopened them, he saw a large golden mirror in front of him. Shining. It had a large golden rune engraved at the top.
