Getting Married to a Yandere Princess

Chapter 53: Ch 53: First Day

David ate his food quickly and returned back to his room. Safely hiding his money under his matress, he dropped down on the bed and fell asleep within a span of few minutes, despite knowing everyone else was awake and he should have been introducing himself to them just like they were doing at that moment.

But he couldn't care any less for the mental exhaustion that was threatening to overwhelm him needed to be addressed before any other forms of pleasantries.

And so, as the birds chirped and the sun yet to rise, his eyes opened as he took in the dark room he was in.

For a brief moment, he tried remembering where he was until he heard a loud snoring sound from the bed beside him.

'Ah right, I am in the Isikolo.' He thought inwardly, as he sat on the bed and clutched his head, feeling a little dizzy from all the sleep.

Then with heavy reluctance, he slipped out of his blankets and stepped on the cold floor, a shudder passing through him at the sudden touch.

"Who places the windows so high up? I can't see anything in here."

Muttering under his breath, he took careful steps, his hands moving around to avoid colliding with other beds.

His hands gripped the handle of the wooden door after he had traversed the long length of the room. Opening it, he had to slightly close his eyes as the morning light spilled in the corridor his room was in.

Moments later, he was walking towards the common room with the nameless girl, who was still rubbing her eyes.

'Atleast they have bathrooms divided on the basis of gender.'

David glanced sideways at the nameless girl, who was walking in a hapazard manner, a piece of twig in her right hand.

"You should probably brush your teeth back there before coming to eat." He said just as the girl raised the twig to her teeth.

Following his words, she returned back reminding him to be nearby so that she could catch up with him later.

David quickly ate the food at the long table, the chairs all empty other than the one he was sitting on.

'I woke up a bit too fast it would seem.' He thought as he exchanged greetings with the cooking staffs before getting out into the chilly coldness of the misty field.

The fog provided a bleak visibility to David, who was constantly rubbing his arms up and down, his teeth grinding against the biting coldness on his body.

"Oh, there you are. Eaten your food?"

Master Zamian approached him from the other side of the field, a woollen robe wrapped around his clothes.

"I have a habit of waking up early, so that was not much of a problem. And yes, I have already eaten my food." His voice was confident, making sure he didn't leave the impression of a nervous or excited disciple in front of him.

"That's a good thing. Make sure to keep this habit of yours consistent." Then Zamian asked, "The others are still asleep?" to which David nodded his head.

"I see. Do me one favour and find Bernard for me. I think he should be with the others by the front gate or so."

As Zamian was passing by him, he paused and turned back again.

"Oh by the way, what is your name?"

Smiling, David replied. "I don't have any name. They call me nameless in my clan."

He added, "I am from the Hermann clan." seeing the look of confusion on the Master's face.

An expression of clarity passed through Zamian's face as he finally understood the ordeal. "In that case, I suppose someone from the kingdom must have assigned a name to you?"

"Yes, for me it is A17 and for her, it is Z2." David pointed at the nameless girl who was approaching them, having had her meal.

A flicker of something close to sympathy appeared in Zamian's eyes but that passed away the next moment as he said, "No problem. A17..." He shook David's hands and then shaking the girl's hands as well, he continued.

"...and Z2. Welcome to Claw Zamian...I know we have already been travelling for three days but consider this as an official introduction."

After that, David and the nameless walked under the thick mist, with the faint sounds of people chattering and chirping of birds making the atmosphere a bit alive.

At a little distance away, beside the black domed building, he could see several Masters warming up and meditating.

Maintaining a respectable distance from them, the servants moved around on their own works, at times some of them stopping and gawking at the Masters.

"Uhh...Bernard." David called out as a middle aged man turned towards him.

"Yes, do you want something?" Then as if realising something, he asked. "Wait, you both are from Zamian's claw right? I remember your faces."

Nodding, David said what he had come here for. "Actually, Master Zamian had sent us here to find you. He is sitting inside the common room of our lodgings."

Bernard went to meet Zamian while David sat on the grassy fields and observed the Masters and their set of trainings. Each of them looked to be using different techniques and were even helping each other with their fighting styles.

David looked on closely at a sparring session between two Masters, each of them using swords. His eyes, enhanced with Vision detected the rapid flow of mana inside their bodies which cascaded into a chaotic rhythm.

But strange enough, each flow of the mana inside their bodies served to enhance particular muscles or bones or tendons, depending on their next move.

'How are they controlling it with such a speed. I can't imagine the level of practice that must have gone into such stuff.'

"You have a good skill there." A voice broke his thoughts abruptly as he looked at his side.

Master Gabriel stood there with a metallic sword dangling from his hands.

"What you see in front of you has stemmed from unmatched dedication. In a world where the average of the awakened people get stuck in Tier II itself, we Masters need to be atleast Tier IV to get our position."

He looked down with a wise smile gracing his face. "You have got a good Master to train you. And I daresay, the best Master to learn body enhancement techniques from."

After that, they stood in silence watching the sparring session. Curious, David asked.

"Won't you train as well, Master Gabriel?"

"I would have but there is no time now. They are coming."

Just as he said that, a torrent of footsteps echoed on the ground from a far distance behind them.

David and the nameless girl glanced back where Bernard was approaching the dome shaped building with all the three claws following him - some sleepy and the others just looking around or shivering.

"Let's go. The day is just about to start."
