Getting Married to a Yandere Princess

Chapter 56: Ch 56: Zamian's Training [2]

As two of their strongest lay on the ground in pain, Master Zamian ordered the others to pick up their weapons and charge at him.

"Strength and speed, the two factors upon which these two depended on wholly. Now some of you might question me if that's not enough. But the answer is no... let's see if any of you gets the hint and pushes me into a corner."

Zamian's sword aligned with his chest as his disciples crowded around him.

"Surround him! The more directions we assault him from, the lesser time he gets to react." The boy with the receding hairline and an perfectly oval face shouted, seemingly trying to take the lead of the charge.

Fortunately for him, the others seemed to listen to him, spreading out like a bird displaying its impressive wingspan.

"Now, close in on him!" The boy commanded, after which a brief moment of silence followed.

However, in the very next second, a battle cry erupted from someone's throat that worked like a signal. Resulting in a cacophony of movements and rushing down to reach Master Zamian, who has been standing still albeit his quickly moving eyeballs.

With a smirk, Zamian moved backwards just in front of the fallen Aeris. Seeing this, the ones charging from that direction had to slow down to avoid crushing Aeris beneath their feet.

They diverged into the other directions and ended up clashing into their own members, making their pace collectively slower.

However, one of them was brave enough to jump over Aeris and swung his spear in a pointed jab.

Zamian who was still quiet, now spoke in a voice loaded with patience.

"A classic move from a spear user at point blank range. Except that the strength you provided in it is too weak..." Even as he said it, he was already moving as his sword struck the spearman's midribs, making him fall flatly on the ground.

"Also, your move was absolutely reckless. You had no plan of a follow-up strike or atleast a chance to retreat. Keep that in your mind the next time you fight."

Zamian didn't wait to hear his disciple's affirming grunt, being already on the next person who flinched terribly at the sudden ambush.

"You problem is your self-awareness. You fight like it's a royal court formal fight. One opponent and thousands of rules. Not suitable in real battles, boy."

Zamian drifted past his new victim, not giving the Claw any chance to surround him. Always keeping them on alert and pushing them to break their formation.

And in the process, he noted their different war styles and adviced certain areas they could improve on.

Someone with a low defence? "Try using a shield to act as a barrier for yourself. And if that feels like an unnecessary weight, start training with mana shields. They are surprisingly sturdy enough and weightless."

He then went on to correct the postures of a few others while simultaneously providing few tips.

"You put too much force behind your strikes, which is not compulsorily a bad thing. But at the same time, it's an absolute hindrance if you are fighting multiple enemies at once for you won't get any time to reposition yourself." Zamian offered a lesson to a boy as he tumbled over himself from a firm kick.

Instantly, Zamian bent downwards as a wooden sword whizzed through the air horizontally. He stepped forward and looked behind him at a shocked David. But that didn't last for long as the momentary surprise quickly faded from his face and with one foot in front of him, he twisted the sword at Zamian.

"Your techniques are decent, almost as if you have done a thorough study of it." Zamian's sword ricocheted the blow sideways at another disciple, who failed to react in time and felt a sharp pain erupt at his sternum.

"But you lack practice. I can tell you have spent a lot of time reading through this particular combat art but you have rarely put them into action." Saying that, Zamian jabbed twice at both of David's upper thighs.

A numb feeling suddenly gripped both his legs as he fell on his butts helplessly, all the while thinking how deep and true the Master's words had hit inside him.

Sitting on the ground, he glanced around him. Not a single of them were standing at that moment having fallen from the relentless beating by Master Zamian, who stood above them with a seemingly nonchalant expression.

"Get up, you all. This was just a warm-up...Come at me again!"

The second time, the results didn't differ much from before as each of them once again found themselves on the ground, crushed by the precise and swift movements of their Master.

David meanwhile, wasn't bothered by this collective defeat. In the first place, he hadn't been expecting anyone of them to win against an experienced man like Zamian.

'I need to keep on fighting as much as I can. I can desperately feel the power ridge between me and the others.' With a sigh that spoke of tasks to be done, David rose up from the patchy grasses along with everyone else.

"That was enough rest for you all. Now, run around the entire field twice....only the grasslands, of course." Zamian suddenly instructed them.

"Two times? That's a lot!"

"Yeah, you are joking right?"

Few of them dared to voice out their disbelief as they all collectively looked at the perimeter of the grasslands. Saying it was a big field was an understatement.

'This thing looks like it could fit ten to twelve football stadiums side by side.' David noted, wondering internally about the necessity or rather unnecessity of it.

Right at that moment, the huge metallic door of the see-through building groaned on its hinges and opened with a lurch.

Another butler led three more claws inside the field along with their Masters, each of whom quickly separated from each other before choosing a spot for themselves all the while maintaining a good distance from the other claws.

'I forgot we aren't the only Sihapi claw under training.'
