"Do you know what you are talking about? My engagement has already happened, and as we are talking, I am already engaged to someone. So, what nonsense are you spouting?" Jane suddenly asked as she looked at her brother with a frown on her face.

John also looked at Raymond with a questioning gaze. Just like Jane, he was wondering, what was Raymond planning?

It was not that Raymond did not know about the engagement between his sister and someone else. He was pretty clear about it, and even knew the person that she was engaged to.

So, how could he come up and suddenly suggest that his sister be engaged to someone else, when she was already engaged?

From his words, it was pretty clear that he was suggesting that they should break off the current engagement, then let her get engaged to another person.

"You heard that right. I have just said that I found a very suitable person that can be my sister's husband.

So, dad, could you talk to grandpa so that he could cancel the current engagement, then go ahead and arrange another engagement with this person that I found?" Raymond said as he nodded.

"Are you sure that you are not crazy?" Jane asked as she stood up from the couch, approaching Raymond.

"Alright! Enough with that." John waved at Jane, who reluctantly lowered her hand, not saying anything else.

John on the other hand looked at his son, silent for a moment, before he finally asked, "Can you tell me what is going on? I need to understand things clearly."

At his father's question, Raymond explained, "Father, it is like this, I have met with a young man, in his teenage years. It should be about 18 or 19-"

"What?! 18? Or even 19? In fact, you don't even know his exact age, yet here you are claiming that you are serious, and want me to get engaged to him? Are you sure that there is really nothing wrong with your head?" Jane suddenly exclaimed, interrupting Raymond.

"Does the age even matter? As long as he is 18 and above, that is okay. Additionally, this is not a marriage, just an engagement. Others get engaged while still being children, not to mention being in their teenage years!" Raymond retorted.

"Jane, let your brother finish what he has to say first." John suddenly said, preventing Jane, who was just about to speak from saying anything.
