Chapter 128: Guaranteed Win

"Just words alone will not be enough. Do you perhaps have a recording of their previous fights? It doesn't necessarily have to be between the two of them, but even with different opponents can work." Michael shook his head as he responded.

"That's quite easy. The tablets that everyone is given contains the previous recorded fights." Alex said.

Michael wanted to ask about the tablet, as he had not yet received one, when a lady suddenly came over. She was dressed in a skimpy outfit, showcasing her bust and curves.

"Sir, here is your tablet." The lady said as she handed a tablet to Michael.

Michael nodded as he received it. As soon as he did, the lady left, twisting her waist from side to side, attracting some lecherous gazes.

Michael did not focus on that, instead, he focused on the tablet. Currently, the tablet was already powered on, and the screen was lit.

The screen displayed a website, obviously one that belonged to the underground boxing arena. Currently, it was showcasing the options available for betting.

It not only included the final winner of the fight, it also included other options such as how long the fight would last, who would be the first one to bleed, how would the winner win and so on.

Looking at the array of options, Michael was slightly surprised. But, he raised his brows when he realized that there was also an option where one of them would die.

"They fight to the death here?" Michael asked Alex who was next to him.

"All the fighters here, before the fight, they usually sign an agreement. Even if they die, their deaths are blamed on their weaknesses.

So, if an opponent doesn't want to concede, they might end up being killed. At that time, nobody would blame the other fighter.

Most of the fighters here are in desperate situations, either in desperate need of money for something, or are currently having a lot of debts, thinking of winning quick bucks here in order to pay up." Raymond was the one who responded to the question.

Raymond was sitting just next to Alex, while Michael was sitting at the very end of the VIP stands.

It seemed that Alex and the group had taken the entire row of seats on the third row. It was quite a good position, as it allowed them to be able to clearly see the fights in the ring.

Upon hearing that, Michael nodded, but he did not react any further. He himself came from Drenn city, a city that was rampant with gangsters.

Even though he had never seen a situation like this, he did not doubt that it existed. The rich provided the money, while the poor provided the entertainment through the battles.

As long as day won, they would be able to earn big bucks, with the source of the money being the rich spectators.

It was kind of an exchange, but the loser was the one at a disadvantage. After all, after losing, there was nothing to gain. So, unless someone was good at fighting, they would only end up getting hurt if they participated in a fight here.

Michael began browsing on the tablet, before he found the previous videos. Before beginning to watch the videos, he surveyed the area, realizing that there were quite a few cameras.

Alex had seemingly been paying attention to what Michael was doing. So, when he saw that Michael was looking at the cameras, he said, "They usually record the fights here. But, they don't give them out, as they usually stay within the arena's private database.

This will allow the newcomers to be able to get to know the fighters through the previous fights. That way, it can allow them to be able to make bets easily.

But considering that we have less than 5 minutes until the betting window is closed, it is impossible to watch all the past videos. How about I just give you a summary?"

"Is there an option to watch the videos in fast forward mode?" Michael asked instead of responding.

Alex was left dumbfounded by the question, but still, he responded, "Yeah. There is that option. Don't tell me, are you planning to watch the videos in fast forward? You will not be able to tell anything if you watch the fights at a fast speed."

"Don't worry." Michael responded.

After that, he began watching the videos. As usual, he put the videos in fast forward. But unlike the times that he was watching to acquire skills, since he was in the presence of others, he only watched the videos at 3 times the normal speed.

If he decided to watch the video at seven times the normal speed, it would shock Alex and the others. In fact, they would not even believe that he had the intention of watching the videos to begin with.

Despite Michael watching the video at 3 times the speed, he still surprised Alex and Raymond. They looked at Michael with speechless expressions on their faces.

"Buddy, if you don't want to watch the video, why not just say so? It would be better if I give you the info instead." Alex said helplessly.

Michael did not bother to respond, as there was no way that he was going to explain that he was able to see clearly every movement of the fighters in the video.

In fact, to him, it felt as though he was watching the videos at a very slow speed. But, he had no any other option for the time being.

Michael did not need to watch many videos. He only watched 3 videos, one of them being a video on the battle between the two of them, where Dave won the championship.

As for the other two, it was between the two fighters against different fighters.

From watching the three videos, with his own fighting experience, Michael was able to analyze the strength of the two of them. In just a little while, he had already made a decision on who was going to win.

Watching the videos, he did not necessarily need to watch full videos. Instead, he just watched several parts of the videos, before he went to the next one. That way, he was able to make a judgment in a short time, before the betting window was closed.

By now, he already had a selection in his mind, and it was not just about who was going to win, but several other options were available as well.

Of course, unless there was some underhanded methods that was used, it would be impossible for him to be able to judge wrongly.

After all, with his current skills in terms of combat, it could be said that there was no human in this world that could compete against him.

He had a lot of fighting experience, and as soon as a fight began, he was able to tell who was going to be the victor and who was going to be the loser.

"You are already done? Or, have you given up on watching the videos?" Alex suddenly asked, a smug smile on his face.

He was already thinking on how Michael was going to ask for his help. At that time, he would be able to demonstrate his analyzing skills, together with prediction skills.

"Yeah, I'm done. You don't have to worry about giving me some summary of the two fighters. I basically understand them much more than you do, when it comes to fighting." Michael responded as he nodded.

"Huh?"

Alex was not the only one who was left stunned by Michael's words. Raymond and the few others who were slightly closer, and were able to hear Michael's words looked at him incredulously.

Was this not the first time that he was in this underground boxing arena? So how did he even know about the two fighters?

Or, was it possible that he had watched the videos of the two of them fighting me somewhere else? Otherwise, how would he be able to tell who was going to win?

And as they thought about this possibility, they thought that it made sense. After all, from the way that Michael had been watching the video, it was as though he had already watched it before, and was just doing a recap.

"Do you want to make some quick cash?" Michael asked.

"Yeah. Why? Don't tell me, do you want me to bet with you?" Alex asked.

"If you feel like it, you can follow me in my selection. Unless they play dirty, it is impossible for me not to win big." Michael responded the confidently.

Alex and the others looked at him, wondering where he got the confidence.

It was not just Alex's group of friends, but a few people from the other rows also looked at Michael.

"What an idiot. A fight like this, it is always impossible to be sure who is going to win."

"Yeah. Even though they don't usually manipulate the results of the fights, but even then, it is usually impossible to be able to make big bucks."

"The odds are high sometimes, but most of those that dare to gamble for the high odds usually end up with nothing."

Few people began commenting, but Michael did not bother with them.

"Okay. I have decided, I'm trusting you. So, what are the options that you have this time? Don't tell me, you want to make some big money with just a single option, right? For big odds, you will need to make several selections." Alex took a deep breath before he finally spoke.
