Everyone was surprised when they heard the shout. They turned to face the direction of the voice, only to see that a group was approaching them, carrying different types of weapons.

The leader of the group was a young man with slightly messy, dyed yellow hair, wearing a black vest and a leather t-shirt, paired with blue jeans and black sport shoes.

There was a big gold chain that was conspicuously dangling around his neck as he walked towards them.

Following behind him was a group of ruffians, each one of them dressed like gangsters, with several of them having tattoos, with their hairs dyed with different shades of colors.

While approaching the group, they had menacing expressions on their faces, showing that they did not come with good intentions.

"Kevin? Whom were you talking to just now?" Raymond asked with a frown on his face upon realizing who it was that was approaching them.

"Raymond, I understand that your Morgan family is very influential in the city. But you have to know, you are not capable of dominating the entire city.

Additionally, today, I did not come to find you. So, you better stay out of my business, do your thing, and let me do mine." The youngster who was called Kevin responded arrogantly.

Raymond's frown intensified as he gazed at Kevin. But, he did not take action or say anything, as he was not sure what it was that Kevin wanted.

But as long as he tried to target anyone within the group, Raymond would definitely take action against him. After all, this entire group here, it only consisted of his friends.

Seeing that Raymond did not respond, Kevin simply clicked his tongue and continued approaching.

Then, he began pushing people aside, entering in between the group together with his group of ruffians.

He came face to face with Michael, with his eyes squinted.

Looking at the way that Kevin was looking at him, Michael was left slightly puzzled, as he was not sure what this kid wanted from him.

This guy in front of him seemed to be in his early twenties, just like Alex and the others. But, Michael had never interacted with him. After all, most of the time, he was usually within his apartment.

So, he was left wondering why he came looking for him. Was it possible that there was some kind of misunderstanding between them?

"Kevin, are you targeting Michael?" Alex suddenly questioned from the side. At the same time, he moved and stood beside Michael, showing his stance.

"What now? Are you planning to interfere? Let me tell you. Today, I must deal with this brat, no matter what. As for the consequences of what would occur later on, I will take care of them when the time comes." Kevin responded as he pointed a baseball bat that he was holding at Alex's face.

Alex immediately frowned when he heard that. Then, he asked, "State clearly, what is going on? If you do not explain yourself clearly, don't even think about touching him.

If you dare, believe it or not, your entire family will disappear from Brenton city by tonight."

Kevin simply snorted when he heard Alex's words. Then, he said, "I know, in the business world, your Walter family is way better than my family. But, do you think that we are afraid of you?

The world has two sides. You are ahead of us in the bright side. But in the dark side, are you sure you are capable of opposing us?"

"If the Walter family is not enough, then what about adding my Morgan family?" Raymond suddenly asked as he moved and stood beside Alex.

"Don't forget to add my Anders family." Dalton also spoke, before he went and stood right next to Raymond.

The others followed suit, including Jessica, as they all went ahead and formed a line, each one standing next to the other, showing their stance.

For a moment, Kevin was left dumbfounded. Never had he expected such a response to his actions today.

When he came to look for Michael, he knew that he was together with Alex and the others. But, he believed, with his background, he would be able to intimidate Alex and the others, preventing them from taking action against him.

That way, he would be able to do what he wanted, which was to deal with Michael. But now, things were getting complicated.

Kevin was usually arrogant. But, that did not imply that he was foolish. For some things like this, which involved the fate of his entire family, he would not dare risk it all.

Still, he was a proud person. How could he just back down because of this? Otherwise, how would he maintain his dignity in front of his lackeys?

"You think that just because you are siding with him, I will stop taking action? Don't you see the group behind me? If you try getting yourself involved, I will beat you up as well." Kevin stated while glaring at the group in front of him.

His gaze intimidated some of them, to the extent that they nearly backed down. But then, they remembered what had happened in the underground fighting arena.

Some of them had believed Michael, and decided to follow his options when betting. Others did not, and they ended up regretting it.

Additionally, neither of them did not know about Michael's formidable background. He was definitely from a big family from the central province.

Someone like that, how could a family from the small Eastern province dare to mess with? Was this not simply asking for destruction?

When he realized that his threats did not seem to intimidate the group, Kevin was left puzzled.

Before coming, he had received some information about Michael. According to the information, it seemed that Michael was just a nouveau riche, who had some luck and won a lottery.

"Kevin, I already told you, you better make yourself clear here. Otherwise, don't dream about touching him. If you dare, believe it or not, your family will disappear from Brenton city tonight." Alex spoke.

Kevin took a deep breath, trying to make himself calm down. He understood, for the time being, he could not act rashly. Otherwise, if he messed things up, it would be too difficult to handle.

"Raymond, you should know that I have my eyes set on your cousin, right? So, do you think that I will just sit back, and watch as this brat gets close to my woman?

Absolutely impossible. Today, I have to make sure that he understands that there are some things that he cannot touch. Otherwise, how would I be able to deal with future ignorant fools like him, if I don't make an example out of him?" Kevin suddenly said, his face a show of anger.

Kevin's words left everyone dumbfounded, as they looked at him, not hiding their expressions at all.

Even Michael was surprised by this guy. He himself had not anticipated that this guy had come looking for him just because of Kate.

Just the previous day, he had to deal with another idiot who came looking for trouble with him, because of Kate. Now, there was another one, looking for trouble, with the reason being Kate again.

It seemed that being involved with Kate was going to be troublesome. This was to be expected. After all, a beautiful woman usually had many suitors.

Additionally, considering Kate's background, those that would be so blatant to show their intention usually had some background as well.

But, why was it that each one of them seemed to be an idiot? They usually came looking for him, without investigating deeper?

Otherwise, if they understood his background, they would not do something as stupid as this. Just like David, whom Michael broke his leg, it seemed that this guy was going to follow the same route.

Looking at everyone's expressions as they looked at him, Kevin was dumbfounded. He looked at them before he inquired, "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you looking for a beating?"

"Do you have some self-awareness? Not to mention if my Morgan family is going to associate itself with you guys, do you think that my cousin will agree?

You are people from two different worlds. You are from the dark, she is from the light. And what you don't know is, the group of people that she hates the most is a group of gangsters.
