Chapter 185: The Group's Determination

Michael's words left Alex and the others speechless. They had thought, Dalton was just too confident, as he was a good fighter.

But it was unexpected for them that Michael would also think the same as Dalton. While Dalton made it seem easy, it was obviously not going to be that easy to be able to deal with such a large number of people.

Dalton might be a good fighter, but how many people could he handle at the same time? Additionally, it was not as though those guys did not have weapons on them.

And if things got complicated, and one of them had a gun on them, things would get much more dangerous. So in real sense, Alex and the others really did not want to engage in any kind of confrontation with Kevin and the others.

But of course, if Kevin initiated the confrontation, they would have to find a way of getting away first. And after that, they would have to look for a way of dealing with Kevin.

Still, looking at Michael who was speaking with confidence, they felt the urge to believe him. After all, until this time, none of them had ever heard Michael boasting.

In fact, he was always undermining himself, and considering all the times that they had competed against each other, they were the ones who asked him to join them.

So, was it really possible that just as skilled as he was at driving, shooting and playing golf, he was also an extremely skilled fighter?

But how was that even possible, considering his age? He was just 18, so, how was it possible for him to be able to train those different skills to such an extent in such a short time?

After all, it was impossible for someone to be able to train right after birth. The comprehension of a child was definitely not capable of mastering all those things.

Despite not understanding the reason why Michael was confident, most of them decided to trust him. In any case, they also did not believe that Kevin would actually do anything to them.

At the end of the day, Kevin's family was just a single family. Would they risk clashing against all the other families that they belonged to? It was definitely not worth the risk, especially if it was all just because of a girl.

There were quite a number of women out there. How would the Green family risk destruction just because Kevin wanted to get Kate? In any case, could he not find another woman, if Kate was an impossibility?

With renewed confidence, the group followed behind Michael, as they left the golf club. But, as they approached the parking lot that was located outside the golf club, they realized that Kevin was there waiting for them.

And as usual, he was not alone. He was together with the group of gangsters that he always brought around with him.

And as he noticed Michael and the others approaching, a cruel smile appeared on his lips.

Though, he was slightly surprised when he noticed that Michael was not intimidated by his presence in the parking lot. At the moment, they were standing around Michael's car.

From this, it was clear, if Michael wanted to drive this car away, he would need to deal with them. Additionally, the fact that Michael only drove an Audi made Kevin believe that this guy did not have much of a background.

It was just that, he failed to understand why Alex and the others were so much obsessed at protecting him. If not for them meddling, he would have already dealt with Michael long ago.

"It seems that you do have some guts. But unfortunately, today, I will have to make sure that I teach you a good lesson." Kevin said as he folded his hands in front of his chest, while gazing at Michael with disdain clear on his face.

To his words, Michael did not bother to respond. In any case, to him, this guy called Kevin was not much of a bother, apart from being slightly annoying.

To Michael, he might not care. But for Alex and the others, they were immediately infuriated. They just could not understand why Kevin was so much into dealing with Michael.

Was he really willing to risk everything, even his family, just to deal with Michael? And, was all of this really just because of Kate? To them, they felt that it was not worth it.

To claim that Kevin loved Kate, that would be a lie, one that Raymond and the others understood. At most, this guy simply lusted over her beauty, and had his own fantasies.

But was it really worth risking everything just for some moment of fulfillment? Additionally, it was not even guaranteed that Kate would agree to be with him. In fact, it was almost guaranteed that Kate would never be with him.

Michael did not stop, as he continued approaching his car. And when he realized that Dalton and the others were still following behind him, he raised his brows slightly.

Initially, he thought that some of them would actually back down. But as he turned his head to look at them, he realized that despite the fear in their eyes, they seemed to be quite determined.

From the looks of it, they were willing to engage in a fight against Kevin and his underlings, even if they were going to get hurt. It was not just about the men, but even the ladies within the group seemed to be determined.

This made Michael's impression of Raymond and the others to shift. While some of them might be pushed to do this because of their interests, but at the end of the day, they were willing to stand up for him.

At the thought of this, he decided, maybe he would award them some opportunities. Just like Jessica, he could grant them opportunities based on their specialties and hobbies.

One thing that he had noticed about those that were associated with Michael was that, despite most of the people thinking that they were usually idle, it was just that they did not like being burdened by the family businesses.

Instead, they were much of free spirits. Thus, they wanted to control what they did, not to be controlled. If they had a chance, most probably, they would be entrepreneurs.

Of course, some of them had some small businesses, but as compared to the level of their families, those small businesses were not worth mentioning.

"You guys, you better stay out of this. Otherwise, if you get yourselves involved, then don't blame me for beating you up." Kevin said as he stared at Raymond and the others behind Michael.

Dalton immediately stepped forward, glaring at Kevin. At the same time, he began folding the invisible sleeves of his short-sleeved T-shirt, obviously a preparation for a fight.

But he had only begun doing this when he was suddenly pulled back by Michael. Dalton wanted to resist, but he found himself helpless against Michael's pull.

The shock in his heart could not be suppressed, as it was showcased on his face. He looked at Michael with an incredulous gaze, not believing that the person who had just pulled him back was actually Michael.

At the same time, a thought appeared in his mind. Just how the hell was Michael this strong? Was this even humanly possible?

"Don't worry, let me deal with them. This way, it will be faster." Michael said.

Without waiting for a response or reacting to the shocked expressions of the crowd, he stepped forward. And the moment that he did so, Kevin immediately waved his hand.

The eight people that he had brought with him immediately rushed forward, before they surrounded Michael completely. They looked at him with vicious gazes, but Michael was not the slightest bit intimidated.

Raymond and the others wanted to intervene, but they decided to stay put for the time being. They decided to trust Michael. But if things did not go well, they would immediately take action.

Michael on the other hand, facing the encirclement of the gangsters, didn't rush them. Instead, he just observed the group around him with nonchalance on his face. To him, this was not a battle, but just a waste of time to beat up some gangsters.

The first gangster charged with a wild swing, all weight and anger. Michael turned his shoulder and drove a short punch into the man's throat. The blow landed cleanly. The gangster dropped instantly, gasping as he collapsed at Michael's feet.

The second came in shouting, swinging low and wide. Michael's fist snapped forward like a piston and struck the man square in the nose.

Crack!

The bone cracked. The gangster spun sideways and went down hard, unmoving before he hit the ground.

A third tried to hit him with a metallic baseball bat from behind. Michael shifted his stance and slammed his elbow backward, which caught the man in the jaw. The impact lifted the gangster off his feet and sent him crashing onto his back, eyes glassy.

The fourth hesitated for half a second, long enough to be finished. Michael stepped in and delivered a sharp palm strike to the man's chest. The air left his lungs in a violent rush, and he crumpled as if his strings had been cut.

The fifth attacked with a crude knee strike. Michael intercepted it with a single downward punch to the thigh, deadening the muscle instantly. The gangster screamed and collapsed, unable to stand, the fight ripped out of him in one blow.

The sixth swung a bottle, telegraphing the strike. Michael leaned inside the arc and drove his knuckles into the man's temple. The bottle shattered somewhere behind them as the gangster dropped without a sound.

The seventh came last in desperation, fists flailing. Michael ended it with a precise strike to the solar plexus. The man folded forward, choking, and fell to his knees before toppling face-first onto the ground.

The eighth never even made it close. Michael stepped forward and snapped a kick into the side of his knee. The joint buckled sideways, and the gangster collapsed screaming, the fight gone before it ever reached Michael.

"That's crazy!" Raymond and the others exclaimed, moments after Michael was done dealing with the eight gangsters, finally bringing Kevin back to his senses.

"Do you have any other tricks, or maybe, is this all that you had prepared?" Michael asked as he gazed at Kevin, intending to deal with all this trouble at once.
