"What? You are telling me that you failed to kidnap him?" Thomas asked in an infuriated voice as he glared at three people standing in front of him.

Each of these three people were extremely skilled in terms of combat. They were three of the four core members under him.

Previously, due to Hudson giving him an ultimatum, he had no other choice but to dispatch these guys. He dispatched three of them at the same time, to look for Kevin's whereabouts.

They had taken quite a while to be able to find him, but for some reason, they had actually failed.

"Boss, it is not that we wanted to, but we were suddenly attacked by a masked man. Most probably, it is the same person who had saved that kid before." One of the men spoke up.

At the moment, each one of them was currently bandaged, and lying on a bed. This was not the hospital, but just a separate room within the headquarters of the gang.

This was the best fighter within the gang, at least under Thomas. In terms of skill, Thomas had never seen anyone else that was good at fighting as compared to this guy.

"Jeffrey, do you know what would happen if things go wrong? It is not just me who would be in trouble. But all of you.

And when I say trouble, I don't just imply you personally. But even the people that you care about, they would all be in deep trouble.

So, right now, I want a solution to this problem, not to escalate things. And, we have to find the solution today. Otherwise, if today ends, and we have no solution to the problem, we will be doomed." Thomas said in a serious voice.

These 4 people obviously knew about the fact that there was someone else above Thomas. It was just that neither of them had ever interacted with whoever it was that was above Thomas.

Regardless, from how Thomas was usually afraid of that person, they understood that that person was extremely ruthless. So, neither of them doubted Thomas' words.

"Don't worry. I won't risk losing what I already have." Jeffrey responded confidently, before he turned around and left the room.

In the morning, Michael was able to push the criminology skill to the expert level, and apart from that skill, he also pushed the journalism skill to the expert level as well.
