11:15pm, Megabase 023.

Leviathan Quay has 6 Megabases and 3 military leaders- Major Agakin, Major Roshfield, and Colonel Bam-Bam.

Though they rarely slept there, the 3 military leaders have well-equipped offices that could double as homes in all 6 Megabases of the Geneforge City.

The moment Major Roshfield ended the call with the Colonel, she put in a call to the head of Megabase 023's intelligence department and within a few seconds, with her clearance level, Major Agakin's current location was revealed to her.

The Major was in his office in the Megabase.

Major Roshfield immediately pivoted towards the nearest elevator.

Still in her neat and pristine black business suit, the moment the elevator started moving up, she adjusted the button of her suit even as she conditioned her mind mentally for battle.

Orange ADE calmly swirled around her body.

DING!

The moment the elevator stopped and the door opened, she stepped out into a short corridor as her sharp brown eyes instantly focused on the sole door at the end of the corridor.

A name was written on the door.

[Major Agakin]

She started walking towards the door and as she did, she calmly cracked her knuckles, and when she was close enough her ADE erupted.

BZZZ!

Thick orange ADE surrounded her as her body instantly mutated, her hands morphing, growing scales even as her fingers turned long, dark, and extremely sharp like the talons of an Avian predator.

Violent orange ADE gathered around the tip of her sharp claws.

Her back hunched, her leg transformed, bending and turning into the legs of a giant Rabbit even as the muscles on her calf bulged and tightened.

At the same time, her brown eyes narrowed, turning into slits like a beast as the next moment, she swiped her claws at the thick reinforced iron black door.

CLANG!

With a loud metallic ringing sound, the door fell apart, squeezed and torn into metallic fragments as the debris flew into the room.

WOM! WOM! WOM!

Instantly, alarms began ringing around the Megabase as thousands of soldiers stationed in the base came alive, ready for mobilization to fight against the sudden unknown threat.

They didn't know that the threat this time was their own Major.

Seated behind his desk in front of a computer and watching a video compilation showing the new air defense grid strategy of the Gene Army, Major Agakin was taken aback the moment his door was torn apart as he flinched.

He looked towards the door and saw her.

Major Agakin's eyes narrowed in surprise. "What are you doing…?"

His words were interrupted half-way.

One moment, he stared at the Major who stood at his doorframe and the next moment, Major Roshfield already arrived in front of him!

It was almost like she teleported.

By stomping on the ground with her mutated Rabbit legs, Major Roshfield jumped with force, generating enough momentum to cross the distance from the door to the desk instantaneously as her clawed hand instantly wrapped around Agakin's neck, lifting him from his office chair.

His energy shield erupted but it was obliterated instantly!

BAM!

Major Roshfield slammed Agakin against the wall of his office as cracks spread in the thick reinforced wall, then the wall shattered!

She didn't stop as she pushed him into the next office with the momentum of her jump, her face twisted in rage as she slammed his back against the inner wall of the next office which also revealed cracks.

Major Agakin glared at her. "What are you doing…?"

Major Roshfield didn't answer, instead, she interrupted him again as with one of her clawed right hand pinning his neck to the wall, she raised her left talon in a bid to cut Agakin's face.

And finally, Agakin reacted.

BOOM!

Thick swirls of violent orange ADE erupted from the Major's body as he instantly activated an ability.

Bio-Armor!

A thick dark orange carapace like that of a turtle instantly emerged, surrounding Agakin's body. It didn't cover his face but the effects of the carapace armor extended to his face as Roshfield's attack finally hit.

BAM!

His face instantly reddened with blood, but the claws couldn't cut his face open immediately.

Still, Agakin felt the pain.

"Humph!" He harrumphed, then his ADE skyrocketed.

Genome Shift- Beastframe!

BZZZ!

Major Agakin transformed!

Thick gray hair sprouted out of his body like grass, his muscles bulged, his back hunched, his height ballooning to over 15 feet tall as once again, he became a massive Bear brimming with power.

With blood-red beastly eyes, Agakin glared at Roshfield, then he roared.

ROARRRRRRRRRRR!

The sound invaded Roshfield's ears like daggers in the form of a sonic attack, rupturing her eardrums as her brain briefly exploded!

Roshfield's eyes became dazed as blood burst out of her ears.

The next moment, she recovered though as with her talons now struggling to wrap around the massive Bear's neck, her predatory brown eyes ignited with orange ADE.

Metabolic Overdrive!

KABOOM!

Major Roshfield's ADE skyrocketed again and when it clashed with Agakin's ADE, it caused a chain reaction, triggering a sudden burst of raw ADE that charged up, bursting through the ceiling and rising through 15 floors to the roof!

The ADE detonated outside as a supernova.

In that moment, the density of ADE signatures being recorded at the 53rd floor of Megabase 023 skyrocketed to lethal radioactive levels!

If a mundane human came in close contact with that violent ADE at such densities, he would die immediately!

Megabase 023 instantly entered a state of distress.

…

11:17pm.

At the same moment that the 2 Majors directly came to blows inside Agakin's office without exchanging words, a high-speed helicopter rapidly approached Megabase 023.

En-route, they witnessed the violent detonation of orange ADE that tore through the roof of the Megabase.

Seeing this, Colonel Bam-Bam's eyes constricted into slits.

"Stop here". He muttered to the pilot, then he opened the door of the high-speed helicopter while it was still in mid-air and jumped down.

"Colonel!" The pilot called, alarmed but the Colonel was already gone.

As the old Colonel fell from the sky, he spread his arms, arriving at a strange equilibrium with the wind and the sky like a man who was used to surfing the skies, then his ADE erupted.

KABOOM!

Amid the violent conflagration of orange ADE that almost incinerated his pajamas and black trench coat, Colonel Bam-Bam mutated in mid-air.

His shoulder blades vibrated and squirmed violently, then thick black bat-like wings suddenly jutted out of the back of the Colonel!

His legs squirmed next, mutating into 2 thick and hairy strange black bio-Rifles!

The muzzles of the Rifles aimed at the slight opening in the roof where the violent conflagration of the Majors' ADE tore open.

A violent red hot energy converged at the muzzle of both bio-Rifles, an amplification and eruption of the internal body heat of this Gene Augur, then…

BAM!

Colonel Bam-Bam's leg shot out a thick beam of a pure heat!

The heat beam tore through the opening in the roof, melting the debris and widening the opening enough for a human to pass through.

Then the Colonel's legs mutated again, turning from the black Rifles into the thick black hairy legs of a Black Panther.

Colonel Bam-Bam folded his wings with his legs facing down, then he dived.

Whoosh!

Within a second, he accelerated past the speed of sound, breaking the sound barrier with an explosive BOOM! Then he dove through the opening in the roof.

Major Agakin and Major Roshfield's heated battle was about to intensify to the next stage when both suddenly felt intense heat from above. They looked up and saw what seemed like a meteorite falling towards them!

Both disengaged instantly, then…

BOOM!

Colonel Bam-Bam landed inside the office.

The Colonel landed on his feet and instantly, his glowing orange eyes scanned the room, glimpsing past Major Roshfield who was on his right and then stopping on Major Agakin who was on his left.

Without saying a word, Colonel Bam-Bam moved towards Agakin.

Thud! Thud!

In that moment, hearing the footsteps and staring into the cold emotionless eyes of this old man, Agakin felt like his heart was in his throat.

He felt his heartbeat accelerate as he stood in one place like a statue.

Colonel Bam-Bam arrived in front of him, standing just a few inches from him as he coldly stared into his eyes.

In his Bear Beastframe form, Major Agakin was a literal giant, he towered above the Colonel but at this moment in front of the Colonel he felt like a child who was standing in front of his father after breaking the TV by mistake.

He gulped.

"Boy, what have you done?" The Colonel's voice was calm and hoarse but Agakin felt like it was the sound of thunder.

He laughed in a bid to hide how nervous he felt as he stared back at the Colonel. "Yes, I did it. And no, I do not have any regrets".

Major Roshfield who was on the other side instantly revealed an angry expression but Colonel Bam-Bam stayed calm. "What did you do?"

Major Agakin took a deep breath to calm himself down, then he said. "I did what you people failed to do and I did it for the army".

He glared at Roshfield in accusation. "I did what you're too good, weak, and morally white to do".

He stared back at the Colonel. "With all due respect Colonel, you've said it yourself, the Federation is not an enemy to be underestimated".

"Every year, I've had to put up with the nonsense of this city as the citizens changed every year, becoming swept in the propaganda and delusion that Synths and A.I Constructs are our friends".

"It seems like people no longer acknowledge the threat of the Federation".

He sneered. "Synths are not our friends. They're Wolves in Sheep's clothing, they're our enemies!" He snarled, revealing a twisted expression of rage and hatred.

"Watching the army tolerate the existence of the Federation's spies among us for years, I grew fed up and decided to take matters into my own hands".

"Unlike you," he boldly stared the Colonel in the eye. "I won't stand and watch while the city becomes prey to the Federation".

"I will take action, no matter what it takes. No matter what price I have to pay".

"I will go any lengths and do anything to keep the army sharp and prepared for any possible invasion from the Federation army".

He smirked and looked at Roshfield. "I don't care if they hate me, I don't care if you hate me. I'm doing this for the greater good, for our good. Tomorrow, you'll thank me for my pro-activeness".

"BULLSH*T!" Major Roshfield growled, fuming.

Colonel Bam-Bam raised a hand, shutting her up as he looked at Agakin. "You cooperated with the terrorists?"

"Yes".

"You willingly aided terrorists at the cost of the lives of the same civilians that you swore to protect?"

"I did it for their own good, they'll thank me later".

Colonel Bam-Bam sternly stared at Agakin and said. "I need simple answers. I ask, you answer. Yes or no?"

"Yes". Agakin answered.

Hearing that, the Colonel nodded calmly then he said. "Tell me the current location of the base of the terrorists".

Major Agakin stared at the Colonel with a look of patriotic zeal in his eyes, then he said. "I'm sorry Colonel, I can't".

Colonel Bam-Bam raised an eyebrow. "You're mistaking something, maybe you think this is a request".

His eyes turned cold. "Soldier, this is an order".

Major Agakin stubbornly shook his head. "I'm willing to face the consequences, I'll accept any punishment".

Colonel Bam-Bam moved his head to the side as if in thought. "Really?" He mumbled, then…

BZZZ!

Violent orange ADE suddenly erupted from the old Colonel's body and what happened next happened so fast that Agakin couldn't react.

Colonel Bam-Bam's right hand mutated, turning into a talon with sharp claws as he slashed through a tiny pressure point in the massive Bear's legs, causing it to instantly topple down like a sack of beans.

The moment the Bear collapsed to his knees, the Colonel's right hand shot at Agakin's Bear-neck and grabbed it, squeezing tightly.

GRRRR!

Agakin shuddered.

He growled and struggled as his neck was compressed, squeezing all the life and air out of his lungs!

"Gah…!" He gasped; he was suffocating.

Agakin's eyes slowly turned red and watery, he could feel his life slipping away gradually, his vitality was draining, yet his eyes continued gleaming with stubbornness and patriotic zeal.

Now looming above him, the Colonel stared at him for a few seconds in silence then he let go of his neck and pushed him to the ground.

He landed with a thud.

"For your crimes," Colonel Bam-Bam looked down at him. "You are hereby stripped of your badge and rank and all privileges that come with it indefinitely".

"You shall be kept in a prison cell right here in Megabase 023, awaiting a court martial in Verdanthold".

Major Agakin didn't object, he just gasped for breath.

"What of my soldiers?" Major Roshfield asked, her eyes still burning with fury as she felt like Agakin's punishment was too light.

Colonel Bam-Bam looked at her. "Let's hope they're still alive".

That night, 2 military air transports were mobilized carrying both Colonel Bam-Bam and Major Roshfield, including more than a dozen soldiers as they flew towards the industrial dead zone at the outskirts of the city.

They entered the compound where the terrorists took as their base and barged into the underground complex but it was already deserted.

All they found was the corpse of the guards that the elite squad killed, including the scientists who died during the attack.

The terrorists were nowhere to be found.

The soldiers of the elite squad were also nowhere to be found.
