Leon realized that all his attributes increased even though for most of them, the growth was marginal.

On closer observation, he also realized that he was already beginning to turn into an abnormal monster just like Lucian.

'I have 5 racial traits now???' He was stunned.

Apart from his traits and his attributes, looking at his 30 blueprints, he felt a sense of pride swell up in him. The 30 blueprints were the evidence of his hard work since awakening in this world.

Looking back, he finally realized how ridiculous his achievement was.

Leon knew he could not stay idle and finally he stood up, looking at the horizon with a solemn look on his face.

'Will Leviathan Quay survive today?' The thought rang ominously in his mind.

The thought of finding Daren and Sergeant Tyla, then finding a way to sneak out of the city also rang in his mind again.

Leon exhaled and looked down at Lucian's shriveled corpse.

Despite all the atrocities that the terrorist leader caused, in the end, he was also a victim of the grand conquest of the Omnicore Federation.

Leon was not about to leave his corpse to rot in the open.

But it was not pride, he realized that it was empathy.

Of course, Leon would not allow himself or his friends to die foolishly out of empathy for others but till it became set in stone that Leviathan Quay would fall, he wouldn't give up on the city.

When the robot returned, Leon instructed it to dig a grave right there in the ruin of the grand square where Lucian had his sermon.

While the robot dug the grave, Leon instructed Davis to show him CCTV footage of the current state of the city.

Static sounds echoed, then a video came to life.

The sound of the distant explosions in the city immediately amplified as Leon finally saw the current state of Leviathan Quay.

More than half of the city was already overrun by the Beast Tide!

Over ten thousand civilians already died to the beasts, and more were dying every second as the army put up a desperate stand.

Leon could tell that this city had no hope of survival alone, the only hope was in reinforcements.

'Are reinforcements coming?' He thought and frowned. 'And will they even come in time?'

These ominous questions left him hesitant again but he quickly steeled his will and turned around, searching through the debris left of the ruin of the grand square before picking a strong wooden board that survived the destruction of the grand square.

By the time Leon returned to the robot's side, it was already done digging a 6-foot deep grave.

Leon dropped the wooden board before walking towards Ramirez's corpse.

He carefully picked up the Gene Augur's corpse, then he also walked towards Jake's corpse. They were the only ones whose body were intact in death besides Lucian, the other terrorists were blasted to smithereens.

But before picking up Jake's corpse, Leon noticed an ADE presence in the corpse that was not yet dead.

At first, he was taken aback but when he traced the ADE signature, it led to a red pendant that was on Jake's neck.

Leon picked the red pendant and instantly the System lit up with a new notification.

After safely storing the artifact, Leon returned to the grave and carefully placed both corpses inside. After that, he looked at Lucian's corpse and exhaled before also pushing the corpse of the terrorist leader into the grave.

After that, he instructed Davis to fill up the grave while he focused on the wooden board and carved an epitaph for the terrorists.
