Megabase 023.
In a prison cell inside the Megabase, Major Agakin sat on the bare ground wearing orange prison clothes.
Gray handcuffs locked his wrists, also restricting his ADE flow.
Even in this heavily restricted state, the Major showed no sign of agitation as sitting down cross-legged on the ground, he calmly meditated.
Through the intervals of his daily food supply and the view from outside the solitary window of his cell, he'd been keeping track of the world outside since his imprisonment.
'It's already been 8 days,' he thought. 'It's now Saturday'.
'I'll be moved today right?'
He was right as barely 5 minutes after he had these thoughts, the sound of footsteps approaching his cell echoed.
Click!
The door to his cell opened.
Agakin looked up and gazed at 4 soldiers standing at the door- Colonel Bam-Bam, Major Roshfield, and 2 other soldiers that he barely recognized.
The Colonel entered the room and went straight to the point. "Your court martial is scheduled for tomorrow, 9am in Verdanthold".
"Due to the distance from here to Verdanthold, I intend to transport you there tonight".
Major Agakin didn't say a word, showing his silent approval though the Colonel didn't really need it.
Colonel Bam-Bam looked back, gesturing for one of the 2 accompanying soldiers who carried a gray box to walk forward.
The soldier stepped forward obediently before opening the box with a serious expression on his face. From inside the box, he brought out a black cloth.
Colonel Bam-Bam looked at Agakin again. "I can't afford to let other soldiers see a war hero in cuffs, so you'll have to wear this during the transport".
Major Agakin scoffed. "If so, why put a war hero in cuffs in the first place?"
"You have to answer for your crimes". Calmly, Major Roshfield finally interjected as she stared coolly at her counterpart.
Major Agakin looked at her.
And just as tension was about to crackle between the 2 Majors, Colonel Bam-Bam waved his hand in a dismissive manner. "Let the Special Court Martial decide whether you're guilty or not".
With that, the soldier covered Major Agakin's head with the black cloth before helping the Major to his feet alongside the other soldier.
The Colonel and Major Roshfield led the way out of the prison cell as the 2 soldiers guided the prisoner.
Soon, they reached the roof where a modified military Aerodyne waited for them. The 2 soldiers led the prisoner in, including Colonel Bam-Bam.
The Colonel intended to personally escort the prisoner to Verdanthold.
During this time, Major Roshfield would be the highest authority figure in Leviathan Quay till the Colonel returned.
The Aerodyne soon lifted into the night sky and gradually disappeared in the distance.

[Grand Deluxe Hotel]
Leon looked at the mirror, the mirror looked back at him.
At this moment, he was wearing a neat gray suit with an accompanying gray tie and a black leather shoe.
Staring at the mirror and observing how he looked, he adjusted the tie before nodding in satisfaction, then he left the hotel room.
Outside, he saw a luxurious-looking electric bio-car waiting for him.
This car had both properties of electricity and bio-engineering. It could be charged with electricity, and it could also recharge itself with ADE from the atmosphere like an Ascended.
Leaning against the car was a stunning Geneform lady with neat brown hair tied in a bun. She wore a vivid red gown that enhanced the warm undertones of her brown hair, creating a striking contrast.
The moment she saw him emerge, she flashed a big smile but then she pouted. "It's not very gentlemanly of you to keep a woman waiting, don't you think?"
"Oh, really?" Leon grinned as he walked towards her. "Then please forgive my manners, I was just trying to look my best for you".
Tyla blushed as Leon opened the car door for her like a gentleman.
Her cheeks blushed as with a satisfied smile, she entered inside and Leon pivoted to the driver's seat with a smile also on his face.
He ignited the electric bio-car and hit the accelerator, driving through a newly built maglev corridor down to the Lower District.
His destination was- [Picasso Lifestyle Nightclub].
When Leon arrived with his date, the chubby middle-aged manager of the nightclub, Paul Pork personally welcomed them with a big smile.
After a week out of business, the nightclub finally returned to business.
Picasso Lifestyle has 2 major attractions, the inner nightclub in the building and its popular rooftop bar.
Leon took Tyla to the rooftop bar.
There, the duo who looked at their stunning best got to admire and appreciate each other's looks even as it also gave them the opportunity for quality conversation on the roof.
Leon did most of the complimenting simply because Tyla truly looked stunning tonight.
Most times, he was either seeing her in her brown military attire or tight combat attire. Seeing her in a feminine gown was a profound change that switched her charm vigorously.
For the first time, Leon realized that he'd been spending most of his time in Leviathan Quay in the company of a beauty.
'Damn, is this what they say you don't realize what you have till you lose it?'
He chuckled. 'Thankfully, I've not lost her'.
He led the conversation, spicing it up as they discussed different topics.
For some reason, Tyla kept on asking if he was currently entangled in a relationship and if he had an ex-girlfriend.
Well, Leon had no memories or recollection of a girlfriend so naturally he said no. After that, a veil between them seemed to break as the conversation flowed even more naturally.
And then, Tyla looked at him with a stunning smile that mesmerized Leon and said. "So, tell me, what's your story?"
The last time, Leon postponed it.
The moment she asked, Leon was put in a dilemma as he contemplated what to tell her. In the end, he didn't want to reveal his current circumstances and his fragmented memories to her.
Afterall, he wasn't even sure about his true past so he fabricated a story that was mostly true.
In his story, he came from the West and his family was the Wraith Cell-9 crew. He told Tyla of the brother he lost, Rex which made her genuinely sympathize with him.
By the end of the story, their bond grew even closer.
And finally, they went inside the nightclub where Leon already bought a VIP bottle booth.
There, the booth provided a private space for just the two of them within the high-energy crowd of the nightclub, offering both luxury and a place to rest between dances.
Leon played his cards smoothly, using the music as an excuse to get physical as they danced and Tyla didn't object.
They gyrated rhythmically to the music, feeling the beats even as their bodies felt each other in the same process.
At some point, the attraction between them began heating up.
But then, it was interrupted as one of the hired live performers for the night came to the stage, a local Geneform celebrity in Leviathan Quay who sang one of his singles, entertaining the crowd while also paying tribute to the dead on Leviathan Quay's black day on 11th July.
A few more live performances were done, hyping up the crowd with energy.
Later in the night, Leon and Tyla ended up in the nightclub's lounge where they had a sumptuous meal.
By then, the look in their eyes already turned a bit feverish and infatuated. They were restless.
Even without saying it, they knew what was going through each other's mind. They were adults, they didn't hesitate.
Leon led Tyla back to the car and drove back to his hotel room with her.
That night, they got more physical with each other.
