Leon stared at the System notification with a dazed look on his face, and then he wiped the sweat that gathered on his forehead before looking towards the final battlefield.

After over an hour since the battle started, now, all the enemies were dead except one of them, the most tenacious of them all, Parasite.

BOOM!

Parasite was tripped by Brick who once again grappled him to the ground. After tackling him to the ground, Brick quickly rolled away to safety.

And then it came.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

On the ground, Parasite was a stationery target as Ghostwire, Talia, and Daren bombarded him with attacks.

The longer they fought against him together, the more their synergy developed as they discovered new ways to deal more damage to the tenacious E Rank Gene Augur.

Parasite's regeneration was already beginning to struggle to keep up.

Despite the fact that by taking a Cyber Gladiator's body, his physique was far stronger than when he took the thug's body, it still wasn't enough to turn the tides as he was being overwhelmed.

Parasite gradually looked less and less like a Geneform as he began to look more like a bloody and broken doll being used as an exhibit for depression.

He bled from all his orifices.

He looked like a deformed Demon from hell, he was an eyesore at the moment.

His blood-red eyes were dark and vacant, lacking that usual vibrant and snappy energy. He looked like he was one moment away from giving up, and yet he never gave up as the seconds ticked.

"I'll skwill wyou hwall!" He growled incoherently with his bloody lips filled with cuts.

Even his tongue was cut halfway by his own teeth when Daren unleashed a devastating combo a few minutes ago that made him lose control of his mouth.

Of his 32 teeth, less than half remained as the others were already lost at some point through the battle.

And even with Cell Repair, his teeth no longer grew because his regeneration could no longer keep up.

Seeing the current state of the Warlord that had kept Community G on a chokehold for years, with an unperturbed look on his face, Leon dropped his Flux Crystal Spear again before taking his Air Gun Rifle from Kain.

He maintained his distance and took careful aim, then he pulled the trigger.

BAM!

At the last moment, Parasite jerked his head to the side as from a sure headshot, the compressed air projectile instead tore through his neck.

Parasite bled heavily from the unexpected injury as he staggered, yet he was already beginning to heal.

Cell Repair!

He rasped and gasped for breath.

He already used this ability so many times that his ADE was now extremely depleted, a problem he would never have if he was still in his original body.

"Fv*ck vyou!" He snarled in an incoherent manner. "Fv*ck all ov you!"

Seeing that Parasite was not ready to give up yet, Gary and Mary looked at each other with a grim look on their faces before picking their weapons as they charged forward to join the Warlord-killing party.

Thud… thud… thud…

When he heard the footsteps coming his way, Parasite mustered enough ADE to create a second pair of eyes in the back of his head.

With them, he saw the Cyber Gladiator couple charging towards him.

Parasite shuddered involuntarily.

'F*ck! I'm not scared!' He growled in his mind but his body didn't listen.

He could keep on lying to himself for an eternity but in the end, when faced with the true shadow of death, he could not help it as his body trembled in fear.

The primal fear of death took over.

Having seen these two Cyber Gladiators fight, including how the man killed Swain, he could not help it as the terror of death encroached on his mind.

Parasite felt humiliated when he felt fear.

'Arghhh! I hate this feeling!'

'F*ck this! F*ck everybody! F*ck the world!'

With hot tears streaming down his swollen and bleeding eyes and with humiliation soaking his dignity, for the first time since he became Parasite, Parasite succumbed to his fear.

Bio-Pulse!

His orange ADE flared violently as he pushed Brick who tried to hold him down again aside, then he tried to run.

Yes, when faced against true death, Parasite realized that he was not as brave as he thought. He realized that he was too afraid to accept death.

That realization broke his ego and pride than any other thing in this world, still he didn't stop.

He decided to run and save his life.

But Talia was not about to let him do anything he wanted.

Data Lash!

BUZZ!

Parasite's brain experienced an explosion as the effects of the Data Lash were amplified this time by his fatigue and all the accumulated mental damage that he'd received since.

He staggered, his legs buckled and he fell down but he still didn't stop as he crawled forward and stood up again to continue running.

BAM!

A well-timed shot from Leon tore tendons in his right calf, forcing him to collapse again as he rasped in anger and fear.

Thud… thud… thud…

He could hear the footsteps coming from behind him, pursuing him, footsteps of death that wanted to steal his life away from him.

'NO! No, no, no, no, I don't want to die…!' His blood-red eyes were wide and rabid in fear.

He forced himself up again as with desperation evident in his blood-red eyes that no longer looked as predatory, he looked at his pursuers with a snarl.

"Lweave me avlone!" He growled.

Of course, they didn't leave him alone because he said so.

They wanted him dead.

Instead of leaving him alone, they pushed even more, spamming attacks against him as he suffered even more damage.

Parasite could feel his life slipping away.

The closer he got to death, the more rabid he became until something inside him suddenly snapped.

"Muahahahahaha…!" Parasite suddenly started laughing again.

The extreme fear of death made him lose his mind.

He glared at them with a mad look in his eyes, then he turned and suddenly started running towards the direction of the 5 buses where the slaves have been for the past few dozen minutes, watching the battle royale in horrified silence.

When he realized that they wouldn't let him escape, Parasite went mad and directly gave up on the concept of surviving.

But he wouldn't go down alone.

If he must die, he resolved to take the slaves to hell with him!

"DIE…!" He screamed as he charged towards the first bus.

BAM!

Leon shot at his leg, desperate to slow him down but despite the debilitating pain and the injury, despite it being against the laws of physics, this bloody and all-bones version of Parasite managed to drag himself forward and keep on running.

They all tried but they couldn't stop him on time.

A desperate man who no longer feared death was like a cornered animal; they couldn't stop him.

Parasite tore his way into the bus from the back and immediately started wreaking havoc.

The girls and women screamed as blood spurted and limbs flew. He directly ate some of them, biting chunks of their head off!

And as he did, he laughed maniacally.

This only lasted for a few seconds before his body suddenly froze as a pair of handcuffs locked both of his hands.

Weight Modulator!

ADE Nullification!

Talia caught up to him and this time, she did not hesitate to use the ADE Nullification Shackles again despite how ADE-hungry the chains were.

THUD!

Parasite's body crashed down heavily, causing a dent inside the bus as the whole bus wobbled. The girls screamed.

"Take them all out!" Talia roared as veins on her face squirmed crazily in exertion.

Once again, she was the one using the ADE Nullification Shackles.

After fighting for so long against opponents at her level, her ADE was almost depleted. Add in using the shackles on Ben and she was on battery-saving mode, yet now she was forced to use the shackles again.

Talia felt her whole body screaming for ADE as she drew the last embers of ADE left inside her body.

At the same time that she kept Parasite restricted, her crewmates rushed to evacuate the survivors of Parasite's rampage from the bus.

It took a few dozen seconds to do this, and throughout, she was forced to expend ADE to keep both effects of the shackles in use.

Talia's face gradually turned purple, her body gradually shriveling up like a malnourished tramp who had not eaten well in years.

Throughout, just as Ben struggled when the shackles were used on him, Parasite also struggled as his eyes gleamed with hate and madness.

And then, the moment all the girls were escorted out, Kain looked inside.

Talia made eye contact with him and Kain understood as he revealed a familiar slightly circular object with an uneven surface, another jury-rigged bomb!

Without hesitation, he threw it inside the bus right at Parasite, and then, Talia finally let go of the chains as she used her remaining ADE to enter the AR psionic state to escape.

Parasite remained bound as the bomb was thrown towards him.

Neural Projection!

Talia rushed out of the bus.

In that moment, time seemed to slow down for Parasite as he watched the slightly circular bomb with an uneven surface tumble through the air towards him.

In that moment, he felt his life flash before his eyes.

Parasite's life was nothing glamorous or righteous, he was just a delinquent kid with psychopathic tendencies.

He grew up in a middle-class home in Sprawl Delta, the Major City of the Geneforge Clans.

He killed his first victim at the tender age of 5. His parents protected him in court by bribing the judge, and he successfully escaped judgement.

Afterall, he was their only child. They couldn't afford to lose him.

But at age 14, he murdered both of his parents in cold blood because of a dare. "Hehe, I'm not scared of anything".

"I fear nothing, I fear no one, I can do anything".

Taking the little money he could from his parents' bank account, he left Sprawl Delta before the authorities could catch him and he became a pirate.

He hunted, he stole, he pillaged for pleasure.

At age 16, he became an F Rank Gene Augur. For years, he terrorized land and sea in the Wastes and beyond in different groups.

He'd had many identities over the years, and all his identities were all on various wanted lists across the territories of the Geneform Clans and the Freegrid Collective.

At age 23, 5 years ago, he went on a daring deep-sea expedition with a pirate crew and he got a fortuitous encounter.

At the end of the encounter, not only did he face and survive the Trial, becoming an E Rank Gene Augur, he also got Rose Bishop.

When he returned to land, he became Parasite.

Over the past 5 years, he lived his best life, lording over his subordinates and manipulating a whole community from the dark like a God.

And now, all of it was about to come to an end.

"Heh," he grinned in a slightly deranged manner that hid his fear as he stared at the bomb that was about to detonate in front of him, then he snarled. "F*ck the world!"

His ADE flared, pouring into the blood-red pendant, then…

KABOOM!
