My Ability Is Role-playing

Chapter 116: Shudder · Decision · Trust

The gray mist gradually dispersed.

Where there should have been an office building, now there was nothing.

In its place stood a giant composed of rock!

A red glow, like blood, flowed over its body.

A giant!

Just two simple words, mentioned in many art works on Earth, seemingly nothing special.

But standing in front of such an existence, Wan Haihao realized how truly insignificant he was!

He felt like an ant.

Even if the opponent just moved normally, without intentionally launching an attack, it could crush him to death.

Thud!

Wan Haihao fell to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The rubble beneath him pricked painfully through his entire body.

He felt as if his bones were rattled to the point of fracture, and he struggled a few times, unable to stand.

Wan Haihao was certain that if it weren't for the Inner Qi protection Ma Ran had left in advance, he would have suffered severe internal injuries and died spitting blood just now.

He lifted his head, staring blankly at the Red Rock Giant: "Is this really the opponent we need to defeat?"

Enormous and boundless!

Without a direct hit, just being caught in the shockwave was nearly fatal.

The master behind Demon Mountain...

Turned out to be such a terrifying existence!

Is it really something that human power can contend with?

Other than remote missile bombardment, Wan Haihao couldn't think of how to solve such an opponent!

But overly sophisticated technology creations have many electronic components, once entering the area shrouded by gray mist, they would immediately fail.

Unless they completely abandon Lotus City and opt for comprehensive firepower striking!

Otherwise, they could only hope for this Red Rock Giant to suffer a sudden cerebral palsy and voluntarily walk out of the mist's range...

Next to him, Zhu Hanyi, did not appear to be in much better condition than Wan Haihao.

He was trembling all over, gripping the long sword in his hand tightly.

Standing before the Red Rock Giant, Zhu Hanyi was in a daze, as if returning to the night over a fortnight ago, standing in front of Ma Ran.

The opponent didn't need to attack, just standing there, the formidable Momentum Field almost robbed him of the courage to resist.

The terrifying sense of oppression emanating from the Red Rock Giant made people wish to hide in a nook and cranny, like an ostrich burying its head in the sand.

Perhaps because of the size difference, or perhaps because the opponent's hands were stained with the blood of many Earthlings, Zhu Hanyi vaguely felt that the oppressive feeling of this Red Rock Giant was even stronger than Ma Ran's half a month ago!

In the face of the chilling and terrifying Red Rock Giant, Su Qiangwei might be the calmest among the three in the task force.

Not exactly composed, yet not panicked either.

But, at least when facing such an enemy, Su Qiangwei with her naturally big heart, showed an expressionless, fearless demeanor.

"Approximately seventy-two meters tall."

Su Qiangwei floated slowly into the air, facing the Red Rock Giant whose legs were over thirty meters long.

Her jet-black waterfall-like hair fluttered in the wind, her mind rapidly analyzing the enemy's strengths and weaknesses, with complete focus: "Weight is difficult to estimate."

"Each step it takes, its lower legs sink three to five meters into the ground."

"In terms of power... it can presumably crush a third-generation main battle tank to a flat plate."

"Being hit would essentially mean instant death, with no chance of rescue."

"Although its body appears rock-like, it should fundamentally differ."

"Even a diamond with a new Mohs hardness of 15 couldn't possibly support such a body size!"

"Extension, durability, shaping... none could meet the standards."

"Though it seems cumbersome, its movement speed isn't slow."

"Choosing to flee would only lead to a dead end."

"Its agility attribute in a small range is very low, exposing flaws each time it turns around."

"Fighting it desperately..."

"Though chances are slim, there indeed exists the possibility of winning!"

A second later, Su Qiangwei analyzed some of the Red Rock Giant's properties, comparing the combat power differences between both sides.

The Red Rock Giant, after taking a step forward, did not execute a fatal attack on Wan Haihao, nor did it show any intention to pursue.

It seemed to be toying with the task force trio, tilting its head in action.

Moments later, the Red Rock Giant spread its arms wide.

Dense black dots gradually appeared on its arms.

Taking a closer look, a faint red light flashed in Su Qiangwei's eyes.

What were those black dots?

They were clearly thousands of Earth Humans stuck to the Red Rock Giant's arms!

Having hurried desperately, after all, they were still too late!

Without counting meticulously, a rough glance showed that at least over three thousand Earth Humans were stuck on the Red Rock Giant's arms.

Their faces were gaunt, skin roughened, as if much blood had been drained, all eyes tightly shut, in a coma.

"Obviously capable of crushing us with force, yet it's using hostages..."

Su Qiangwei took a deep breath: "Despicable."

"But..."

"This thing's intelligence level is far higher than imagined, not clumsy in the least like its appearance."

After showcasing the hostages, the stone golem made no further movements.

An imperfect Mandarin echoed by the trio's ears in the task force.

"Zhu Hanyi, Wan Haihao, Su Qiangwei."

"Among you three, for each one who dies, I will release a thousand hostages."

"I am a person of my word."

"Now..."

"Make your choice!"

Su Qiangwei slightly narrowed her eyes, discreetly activating the Unity ability, signaling to Zhu Hanyi and Wan Haihao to not act impulsively.

The Red Rock Giant's talk was essentially nonsense.

She couldn't even be bothered to listen.

Even with knee-jerk thinking, it was evident that this was oratory skill meant to play with their minds.

Regarding messing with people's minds, comparing the Red Rock Giant to Ma Ran was like comparing heaven and earth – completely worlds apart!

Immature to the point that Su Qiangwei found it a bit amusing.

"Phew..."

Su Qiangwei coldly looked at the Red Rock Giant.

The choice before her was actually a much simpler question.

A, save the people, and thus deplete energy reserves, losing combat power. The consequence could be dying alongside these hostages, allowing the Red Rock Giant to continue rampaging on Earth.

B, not save anyone, conserve strength, and risk killing the Red Rock Giant!

If Ma Ran wasn't around, Su Qiangwei would never choose A.

But...

Su Qiangwei believed that even if she lost her combat power, Ma Ran in the rear had certainly already prepared a second or even third contingency plan.

Although she usually disliked Ma Ran often stealing her spotlight and always wanting to defeat him, in critical moments...

Su Qiangwei couldn't think of anyone more trustworthy than that guy!

In a flash, she had already made her decision.

Su Qiangwei raised her right hand high, slashing it down forcefully!
