Beast Taming: Invincible Breeder

Chapter 143: Land of Fertility

Li Cunxu, without making any promises, obtained the blood of the Lingnet Virtual Dragon.

The mutated Slime wanting to replace the Lingnet Virtual Dragon was something Li Cunxu never considered. He just wanted the blood to fool around a bit. Maybe he could gain another variety of Slime; if not, there was no loss.

He returned to his residence and opened the scroll given by the principal.

Seeing the contents, Li Cunxu felt deeply moved.

Watching Li Cunxu staring intently at the scroll, Little White Spider asked, "What is this?"

"A big gift from the principal, the evolution conditions of the Fertile Pasture talent into the Fertile Lands."

[Evolution Conditions]:

1. Raise 10,000 cattle from calves.

2. Raise 10,000 sheep from lambs.

3. Raise 10,000 horses from foals.

4. Fulfill the above conditions, and use livestock (cattle, sheep, chicken, pig, dog) personally hunted for a blood sacrifice at the pasture.

Note 1: The blood sacrifice might fail. If it fails, the first three conditions need to be met again.

Note 2: The rarer and stronger the livestock, the higher the success rate of the blood sacrifice.

Note 3: Be cautious in choosing the location for the Fertile Pasture. Once it evolves into the Fertile Lands, the location cannot be changed.

Below was a note from the principal:

"Keep up the good work, make outstanding contributions, and I'll get you the evolution conditions for the Fertile Divine Kingdom (Gold)."

"If the principal hadn't given me this, I might have forgotten I still have the Fertile Pasture talent as a breeder."

For Li Cunxu, the Fertile Pasture was indeed too insignificant. The yearly profits from the Fertile Pasture couldn't compare to the profits Li Cunxu made from raiding a Blood God Sect base.

The Fertile Pasture was indeed a hen that lays golden eggs, but the outside world was filled with gold.

One could only say that the resources on the Divine Guard Continent after the Great Cataclysm were too abundant, which diminished the importance of the Fertile Pasture.

If it were in an era lacking resources, the Fertile Pasture would be an absolute strategic-level talent.

The Great Cataclysm was caused by the Four Gods, who coveted the Divine Beast World. However, the Divine Beast World had previously experienced several invasions from the Outer Evil God, with extremely high defensive measures against external forces, nearly impenetrable; the power of the Four Gods could hardly permeate the Divine Beast World.

Thus, the Four Gods each brought in a world they controlled, destroyed four worlds, and crushed them into the Divine Beast World, allowing it to expand through absorption. The Four Gods took advantage of the Divine Beast World's inability to focus while devouring these worlds to permeate their powers into it.

The Divine Beast World absorbed four worlds, which is why the underground and surface resources are so abundant.

Describing the nature of the Four Gods' Great Cataclysm differently:

For example, the Divine Beast World is like a company, owning 100% of its shares.

The Four Gods all wanted the Divine Protection Company, but they had no shares, and hence couldn't control it, so they forcibly injected capital into it.

The worlds they injected were not as large as the Divine Beast World; calculated by the share volume of the Divine Beast World, each injected world was equivalent to 20% of its shares.

Each of the Four Gods injected a world, resulting in four worlds.

20%×4=80%

After the injection, the Divine Beast World's shares increased by 80% on the original basis, now reaching 180%.

The scale of the Divine Protection Company expanded, but this was not a good thing, as the injection meant share dilution, weakening the Divine Beast World's control.

Out of the total 180% shares, 100% belong to the Divine Beast World, while 80% belong to the Four Gods.

Before the injection, the Divine Beast World had full control, but after, the scale increased, and full control was lost, making the Four Gods shareholders.

As shareholders, they also have the right to dine at the table. If they could seize all the dishes, the world would entirely belong to them.

The essence of the Great Cataclysm is a battle between the Four Gods and the world's will for control.

What role did humanity play in the Great Cataclysm?

They played the role of the "pond fish" affected by the city gate's fire.

The role of "mortals suffering from the deities' battle."

The Great Cataclysm, in essence, did not specifically target humanity; it only incidentally affected them.

Why did the Four Gods target humanity later?

Because the world's will of the Divine Beast World used humanity as pieces to oppose the Four Gods.

Little White Spider murmured, "Fertile Lands? There's no record of this talent in the Talent Record."

Li Cunxu replied, "Of course not; the Talent Record is a modern compilation and hasn't been perfected; besides, no one has awakened the Fertile Lands for nearly a century."

"Fertile Lands, a purple epic, uses the corpses of pet beasts as fertilizer, making the land extremely fertile and accelerating the growth of plant life in the area.

The stronger the pet beast was in life, the faster the growth can be accelerated, up to a hundredfold."

The Fertile Lands talent didn't appear even during the player era of Li Cunxu's previous life. He knew about this talent because he saw it on the past projection of the Fertile Pope when he challenged the Master of Endless Time.

Li Cunxu vividly remembered the Fertile Pope simply due to his bizarre fighting style; battling him was like playing a game of Plants vs. Zombies, with him as the planter and Li Cunxu as the brain-eating zombie.

The Fertile Pope emerged from the Fertile Divine Sect three thousand years ago, which worshipped the Fertile Goddess, a being who possessed the power to convert others' talents into Fertile Pasture.

Of course, the Fertile Goddess was not a true deity, not like the Four Gods.

The so-called Fertile Goddess was, in fact, a pet beast named the Fertile Divine Deer.

The Fertile Divine Deer made quite an impressive entrance; it came with an aura of mist, and coupled with its ethereal voice, reminiscent of a goddess, misled the Fertile Divine Sect's followers to believe their deity was a goddess.

Realizing that its followers had erected the wrong idol, the Fertile Divine Deer decided to accept the mistaken goddess identity.

After all, the Fertile Divine Deer couldn't just step out and explain, "You've got the idol wrong, I'm not a goddess, I'm a divine deer," – that would definitely diminish its prestige!

Doing so would lose the divine aura, and at least half of the fanatical followers would be lost.

Li Cunxu was unaware that the Fertile Goddess was the Fertile Divine Deer, as he hadn't studied the Fertile Divine Sect in detail, but he knew that most deities in history were not real gods but divine beasts in disguise.

The intention, of course, was to gather faith and vie for authority.

"Those who researched the Fertile Pasture and Fertile Lands belonged to the Fertile Divine Sect, but that sect is now extinct. Where did the principal get the evolution conditions for the Fertile Lands? From the remains of the Fertile Divine Sect?"

After pondering, Li Cunxu found this to be the only possibility.

He packed his backpack, ready to head home, not to prepare the evolution of the Fertile Lands, but to obtain a Holy Lotus Carp.

Having experienced the power of the Holy Lotus Carp from Ao Meng, Li Cunxu decided to cultivate one himself.

The Holy Lotus Carp is a dragon pet with a very slow growth rate; it's best to start nurturing it early.

He didn't want a Holy Lotus Carp before, fearing Li Shiyin, who had the Demon Lotus Eye, might target him. Now... if Li Shiyin dared to confront him, Li Cunxu would shatter the life-saving jade that sealed the elder chairman's power to take him down in one go.
