Trash Prince and Ice Queen 10th Re - Life

Chapter 66: Warship on the Horizon

The next day, urgh, Beatrice, sitting leaning against the ship's deck railing, vomited everything back into the bucket that was always in front of her, while Rosalind sat beside her massaging her neck. The crashing waves and the rocking of the ship only made Beatrice feel sicker.

"Uhh... when are we gonna get there... I can't take this," Beatrice lamented miserably.

"Be patient, Princess. One more day, and we'll arrive," Rosalind replied, trying to comfort Beatrice.

Seeing Beatrice looking miserable and very intimate with the bucket she was holding, everyone immediately approached Beatrice and Rosalind, who was massaging the back of Beatrice's neck.

"You can't handle sea travel?" Claudia asked.

"How did you get to the academy? You took a ship, right?" Alicia asked.

"Don't tell me you detoured through the Durnhill Kingdom and crossed the bridge using a horse-drawn carriage to the Orthus Empire?" Milia asked.

"Yes, that's right. At that time, the Princess and I indeed detoured, entering the territory of the Durnhill Kingdom because the Rellios Kingdom, Fredonia Kingdom, and Durnhill Kingdom are located on the same continent," Rosalind answered.

"Wouldn't that take a long time? Rellios to Durnhill is quite far, from west to east?" Geoffrey asked.

"The journey took us two weeks," Rosalind replied.

"Wow, no wonder she gets seasick on a ship," Irwin added, watching Beatrice look utterly miserable in front of him.

"Well, there's a first time for everything, right? Next time she takes a ship, she won't get seasick again," Eva said.

"Grr... easy for you to say... ugh... urgh," Beatrice said, vomiting again.

"Hey... don't talk yet, Princess Beatrice, honestly," Rosalind scolded.

"Just take her to the cabin, Rosalind, so she can sleep and rest," Ard suggested.

"No way... the cabin is smelly and stuffy. I can't stand it, I'd rather be here," Beatrice loudly insisted.

"Ugh... this is going to be tough," Geoffrey said, running a hand through his hair.

Then, Mirea and Ainsley came over, bringing some kind of balm and a potion, and approached Beatrice. Mirea knelt in front of Beatrice and rubbed a cool balm onto Beatrice's neck, startling her, but because it felt comfortable, Beatrice remained still. After that, Ainsley handed a bottled potion to Beatrice for her to drink. When Beatrice took the bottle, she examined the green liquid inside.

"What is this?" Beatrice asked.

"Rejuvenation Potion. It's to restore your body. Just drink it. It tastes good; I deliberately added flavoring," Ainsley answered, adjusting his glasses.

"This balm is to ease your nausea. It can't cure your seasickness, but it can at least reduce it," Mirea said while rubbing the balm onto Beatrice's neck.

"Um... thank you," Beatrice replied.

"You made that balm yourself, Mirea?" Ard asked.

"Yep, with the ingredients we had on hand," Mirea answered casually.

Beatrice opened the bottle, then sniffed it and slowly tried to take a sip. Since it tasted good, as Ainsley had said, she immediately finished it. After that, color began to return to Beatrice's pale face, although she still looked weak and dizzy. Everyone was immediately relieved to see Beatrice was slightly better than before. Mirea gave the balm to Beatrice so she could apply it herself if needed.

Rosalind, seeing Beatrice was feeling better, leaned back in relief, as she had been tense herself. After that, they all began to move around the deck and go back to their respective spots, but suddenly, a shout was heard from above, and they saw many crew members panicking.

One crew member ran into the cabin to the captain's room to call Vahn. Seeing the crew panic, Ard looked up at the ship's mast where the lookout was. Hup, he jumped onto a sail boom, then jumped again to the lookout's perch, surprising the crewman there.

"Lend me the telescope," Ard said to the crewman.

The crewman immediately handed over the telescope. Ard used the telescope to look around, then he spotted a galleon warship belonging to the Ateras Kingdom far ahead, and it seemed to be heading toward their ship.

"Huh... there's an Ateras Kingdom warship. Didn't Vahn say they usually don't venture into these waters?" Ard asked.

"Yes, these waters are usually a deserted route rarely used by ships because there are many sea monsters and it's quite dangerous," the crewman replied.

"Hmm... right. What do they want coming this way?" Ard wondered to himself, continuing to look through the telescope.

Then Ard returned the telescope. He looked down and saw Vahn talking to Eva and his friends. He immediately excused himself to the crewman and jumped down without using the rope, confusing and impressing the crewman. When he was back on deck, Vahn turned to see Ard who had just landed.

"Did you see it?" Vahn asked.

"Yeah, an Ateras Kingdom galleon warship, alone," Ard answered.

"Exactly. That's why I need all of you to hide in the brig in the lower hold of the ship and wear my crew's clothes. We'll bypass them," Vahn said.

"But you're a pirate," Eva asked.

"Yep, that's why I'm going to handle them. You know what I mean, right? I don't want you involved, and even if I lose, you'll be safe because you'll be considered my prisoners," Vahn said.

"Oh, so that's the plan," Geoffrey said.

"Don't let them find out your identities, especially Princess Eva. If they know you're on my ship, they'll capture you and hold you hostage," Vahn warned.

"I understand," Eva replied.

"Alright, everyone, let's go below," Ard said.

Immediately, all of them, including Beatrice carrying her bucket, walked into the ship's hold, where the door was opened by some crew members. Then they changed into clothes like the crew's and stored all their weapons in Ard's and Eva's dimensional storage. After that, they all entered the brig and pretended to be pirate prisoners, even though food was provided inside.

Urgh, Beatrice, sitting in the corner of the brig on the straw, vomited again. Her face turned pale once more. Rosalind immediately applied her balm to Beatrice's neck and forehead again.

"Uuuh... it's worse here than in the cabin. Smelly, itchy, and stuffy," Beatrice complained.

"Beatrice, just be patient. Once the ship passes the Ateras Kingdom warship, we can get out," Ard said, crouching on one knee in front of Beatrice.

"Yes... sorry, I'm just absolutely not used to being on a ship like this," Beatrice said.

"It's okay, just relax," Ard replied, holding Beatrice's hand and smiling.

After that, Ard looked around. He saw Geoffrey, Milia, Alicia, and Ainsley sitting leaning against the bars, hugging their knees, as were Mirea, Claudia, Irwin, and Patricia (who had deliberately changed back to her human form), sitting on the other side, looking contemplative. Eva sat next to Beatrice, with Rosalind sandwiching Beatrice between them.

"Hey, why do you all actually look like real prisoners?" Ard asked, confused.

"Well, we're pretending. If you're going to act, you have to be totally in character, bro," Geoffrey replied.

"Yeah, Ard, what if someone sees us looking too relaxed?" Milia asked.

"Come on, you sit here too. Let's pretend together," Alicia invited.

"I've wanted to feel what it's like to be a prisoner for a long time, hehe," Mirea added.

"Why would you want to be a prisoner? That's so weird," Claudia chimed in.

"Let me be, don't be annoying," Mirea retorted.

"Vahn is a pirate, right? There's no way the Ateras Kingdom forces will let him go without a fight, is there?" Ainsley asked.

"Yeah, that's why he said if he loses, we'll be considered prisoners and then saved by them. He intends to fight them and doesn't want us to interfere. Get it?" Irwin answered.

"Eva, you should change your hair back to black like that time," Patricia said, turning to look at Eva.

"Alright, just a moment," Eva replied.

Eva immediately rubbed her head. Her silver hair instantly turned black, just like Ard's. Then Eva looked at Patricia, who nodded, smiling. Urgh, Beatrice vomited again. Rosalind immediately looked at Ainsley.

"Hey, Ainsley, do you have any more of that potion?" Rosalind asked.

"No, just use the balm again. Please be patient and suffer for a bit. Once everything is sorted out, I'll make more," Ainsley replied.

"Uuuh... fine... I hate ships... I will never take a ship and sail the ocean again," Beatrice muttered.

Finally, everyone laughed and seemed relaxed again. A few hours later, the sound of fighting and commotion could be heard from above the ship. They all just sat silently, waiting for what would happen next, without talking at all. The atmosphere became slightly tense with the sound of shouts, running footsteps, and the boom of cannon fire. Ard and Eva, sitting side-by-side, held hands while looking up, as did the others, including the seasick Beatrice.

"Hope Vahn wins and this ship fight up there doesn't last long," Eva whispered.

"True, it'll be trouble if Vahn loses, but I trust he'll be fine. He's experienced and seems reliable," Ard whispered back.

"Hope you're right," Eva whispered.

Then Beatrice vomited again beside them, making both of them shift slightly away from her.

"If this keeps up, I might get seasick too, damn it," Eva muttered.

"Haha... hang in there. Don't you dare get sick too," Ard replied.
