"[Double Fire Arrow]!" Exclaimed my opponent, as she fired a couple of arrows towards me, streaks of flames swirling around them.

I turned my body across to evade the first one, before swinging Desecrator across and deflecting the second one, a sharp clang ringing out as it went spinning away, hitting the arena with a clatter and skidding across the floor.

Round three just began, and I had just started fighting my third match of the tournament.

I was up against a K-Ranked Archer with the Fire Attribute, and she wasted no time in firing at me as soon as the countdown ended.

She pulled out another pair of arrows from the quiver strapped diagonally across her back, nocking them onto the bow and drawing them back as I sprinted towards her.

I pulled my gun out and fired a Pulse Bullet at her as I got her within range, she quickly shuffled across to evade it, flames erupting around her arrows as she chanted under her breath, before letting the bowstring loose, the arrows shooting towards me, one zipping in towards my feet and the other straight at my head.

As the arrows closed in on me, I came to a swift halt, raising my right foot before driving it down while simultaneously swinging my blade across.

I stomped down on the arrow honing in on my feet and deflected the one aimed at my head, right as my opponent took aim with another arrow and chanted...

"[High Accel Flame Arrow]!"

Flames swirled around the arrow as she fired it, the narrow projectile shooting through the air with immense speed, much faster than her previous shots.

I swiftly lowered Desecrator, the arrow striking the face of the blade and pinging off with a spin, my opponent grimacing as she took a step back and drew out another couple of arrows...not bad, that last attack was pretty solid.

Accel Arrow is a Skill that boosts the speed of the Archer's arrow. First time seeing the Skill in action, Lector couldn't use it.

If I remember right, High Accel Arrow boosts the arrow's speed by seventy-five percent, which is nothing to scoff at.

But that was the first time she used it in this fight, and that's probably because of her limited MP.

She's been activating Skills on almost every arrow she's shot at me, and as a result, she's burned well over half her Mana at this point.

As she fired out two more arrows, without any Skills enhancing them this time, I shot forward, tilting my head across to evade one of them before striking the side of the other one with my blade to deflect them.

I ducked as another one came shooting towards my head, the arrow zipping over my hair before she began sprinting away as I closed in on her.

I swiftly chased after her, swinging Desecrator across as she turned back and fired another arrow at me, knocking it away with my blade, right as she spun around and came to a halt as she drew another arrow back across her bowstring.

"[High Accel Flame Arrow]!" She exclaimed as she fired it at me from just a couple of meters ahead, flames swirling around the narrow projectile.

As it closed in on me, her eyes widened as I reached out and caught the arrow before it could hit me, the flames dissipating.

As I tossed the arrow away and leapt towards her, she dropped her bow and reached behind her back, drawing out a dagger and raising it as I slashed down at her head, a sharp clang ringing out as she just barely blocked the swing of my blade.

She then stiffened as Desecrator began to slice right through the blade of her dagger, springing back while simultaneously letting go of the dagger, right as my blade cut it in half.

The broken halves of her dagger hit the floor of the arena with a sharp clatter as she backed away, getting some distance before taking hold of her bow again.

When she let go of it earlier, it didn't fall to the ground, it's attached to her belt with a chain.

Her Mana is pretty low at this point, she could maybe manage two weaker Skills before she runs out. This fight is all but over, no sense in dragging it out.

"Time to end this. <Command: Get Over Here>," I chanted as she drew out another arrow and began to take aim at me.

Her body tensed as her eyes widened slightly, gritting her teeth as she lost her grip over the arrow, which fell off the bow and hit the floor.

She began to walk towards her, her body trembling as she tried to resist the effect, but to no avail.

"Wh-What...what is this...?" She uttered through gritted teeth as she drew closer to me, before stiffening as I raised my blade.

"You're not half-bad. But it's over now," I replied as I swung my blade down at her head.

Right as the blade began to come into contact with the middle of her head, the barrier activated and teleported her out, ending the match.

"After entering into the tournament amidst much controversy, he's just secured his place in the semi-final round of the competition! The winner of the first quarter-final is...Kaivel Intrix!"

The crowd erupted into cheers as I walked off the arena, sheathing my blade as I stretched my arms up with a sigh.

Having so many people cheering for me is pretty cool, I must admit, but...making them go silent felt a lot better.

With this win, I've secured my place in the top four, but I'm far from done.

It'll be a while before my next fight, though. After this round is done, there'll be an hour break before the semi-final round.

Well, at least I've got the next match to keep me entertained for the immediate future, I'll have to figure out a way to kill some time after that.

It's Ariella's match, the only way I'll get to face her in this tournament is if she wins her next match too.

But her opponent's a tough one, he's an Ace just like her, but a lot more experienced. Let's see how she does...
