Once we really got in the swing of things, it felt like you were one step ahead of me," Aria sighed wistfully, before gulping down some water.

"Nah, I'd say it was more like half a step. And besides, you're way ahead of me with your full power unleashed, so I'd say it evens out," I pointed out with a wry smile.

A bit over two hours had passed since we began sparring. And the longer it went on for, the more intense it got, both of us were bruised all over by the end of it.

"Yeah, but you were fighting without a blade for most of it, you basically put a handicap on yourself...fighting bare-handed is my specialty, so I really should've done better."

"Well, you also didn't have your gauntlets, so technically speaking, you don't fight bare-handed, which means you were handicapped too," I responded objectively, before adding, "So, I'd say it was fair, and given how it went, I'm fine with calling it a draw."

"I definitely feel like it was a loss on my part, though, so I think you should count it as a win in your favor. I'll win next time though, count on it," She declared with a determined look on her face.

"Challenge accepted, I look forward to it. Wanna stick around for dinner, by the way? It's about that time," I remarked, as I glanced at my I-Watch.

"I wish I could, but I promised my grandma that I'd be back home in time for dinner. She's probably already cooked by now, and I don't want her efforts to go to waste, I'm sorry," She replied with an apologetic smile.

"Hey, no need to apologize, it's all good. Maybe some other time, then."

"Mhm, for sure! Thanks for having me over, Kai, this was fun. I'm going to get going now, I'll see you later," She responded, as we walked out of the training room and headed for the door.

"Thanks, think I just might take you up on that," She nodded, smiling slightly as I patted her head.

"No!" Aria blurted out, before turning red and averting her gaze.
