"Alright, here it is. A bigger box than I expected, we might have gone a tiny bit overboard," I remarked sheepishly, as I shut the door behind me, setting the box down.
Our order had just arrived, I headed down to pick it up, got held up a bit since the delivery guy asked for a selfie, and then brought it up to my place.
Most places uses drones or robots for deliveries, but some still use human drivers. Deliveries made by a person instead of robots are seen as fancy in this era, I don't really get it though.
Maybe it's perceived that way simply because it's somewhat rare?
"It's a bit heavier than I would've thought, I guess the sheer number of stuff we ordered meant that the weight piled up," Mused Aria, as she lifted the box slightly, before setting it back down as I pulled Desecrator out of Treasury.
I unsheathed the blade, before gliding the edge across the tape sealing the box...mm, that's such a satisfying feeling, same as when you're cutting something with scissors and the blade glides all smoothly.
"Let's see here...nice, looks like everything's here," I remarked, picking up the bald cap and removing the plastic wrap around it, before plopping it onto Aria's head.
I stared at her for a moment, before letting out a stifled snort of laughter.
"Okay, I gotta get a look at this," She responded with a curious look on her face, opening up her I-Watch display and tapping on the camera app to get a look at herself, looking at herself in bemusement before giggling.
You probably need to wear one of those hairnet things before putting on a wig, or bald cap in this case.
We did order a pack of those hairnets, but since I put the bald cap on her without one, it was kinda lopsided, with tufts of her red hair peeking out all around it.
It looked really goofy, so I couldn't help but laugh. And evidently, she sees the funny side of it too.
"This is a good look for you," I responded in a thoughtful tone as I tried to keep straight face, before a smile spread out across my lips as I broke.
"Yeah? In that case, let's find something that works for you too...here, put this on," She giggled, as she put a pair of joke glasses on me, the ones with the comically swirly lenses, thick bushy eyebrows, and fake nose and mustache.
"Hm...okay, I can barely see a thing," I remarked, as Aria began laughing.
"Y-You look great, really! H-Here, take a look," Stuttered Aria as she tried to control her laughter, holding up her display as I slipped the glasses down the bridge of my nose to get a look.
Wha-...okay, that's pretty funny.
"Yeah, you're right, this does look great. I don't think we need to try any of the other options, I think we're set...let's go out with these," I suggested with a laugh, as I patted the top of the bald cap.
"Woah...do that again, there's a slight, hollow echo when you tap it," She remarked, before I patted it again, a amused giggled escaping her lips.
"Hm...I just got the best idea," I muttered, taking off the joke glasses and putting them on her, before letting out a chuckle.
It's a bit much, kinda too comical, but it's still pretty funny. I opened up my display before taking a picture of her, turning the display towards her with an amused smile.
"Heh, nice...though, I think it looks funnier with one gag item, this looks more like I'm trying too hard to look funny," She grinned, as she took off the glasses and glanced at my display.
"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing," I nodded in agreement, as she took the bald cap off as well, before leaning down and digging through the box.
"Here, put this on, Kai," She suggested, as she held out a pair of glasses.
They were glasses for fashion, they didn't have lenses. We got a pair with a black, narrow, rectangular frame, Aria wanted to see how I'd look if I wore glasses, and vice versa.
"Well? How does it look?" I asked her, as I put them on.
"Wow...really good. Yeah, I really like this look on you," She nodded with a gleam in her eyes.
"How about now?" I responded, as I placed a finger on the middle of the frame and pushed it up the bridge of my nose with an exaggerated smirk.
"Heh, that's pretty cool, you look like an anime villain," She chuckled in response.
"Mhm, that's exactly what I was going for," I grinned, before I took the glasses off and put them on her, my eyes widening slightly.
"How does it look?"
"Huh, that works on you, really, really well...you look super hot," I remarked, as I peered closer at her, her cheeks reddening slightly.
"Y-You really think so? Thanks...," She muttered with a bashful smile.
"This is fun...maybe we should get full-on cosplay costumes and stuff too, try out different styles and stuff," I suggested with a grin.
"Ooh, that sounds like a lot of fun! Hm...I wanna see you in a lab coat! I know you don't like light colors, and it doesn't get lighter than white, but I think it'd look good on you," She responded, as she gave me a glance over.
"Well, yeah, I am most comfortable in dark colors, particularly black...but it's not like I'd die if I wore lighter colors, so sure, I can try that."
<Oh, so you listen to her when she suggests trying other colors>
<Hmph>
I mean, cosplay is different, it's not the same as regular outfits. Also, never thought I'd hear you huff at me.
<Whatever>
"Kai? You good?"
"Huh? Yeah, all good...Ai's just sulking because I never listened to her whenever she tried to convince me to buy clothes in colors other than black, guess me agreeing to wear something white rubbed her the wrong way," I replied sheepishly.
<I am not sulking>
Yeah, sure you're not.
"I think I get that, but then, cosplay outfits aren't the same as regular clothes, so I wouldn't compare the two," Aria shrugged thoughtfully.
"That's exactly what I said!"
