If this were a real fight, I'd likely have opted to summon my Apostles by now. However, this is simply a sparring match with no real stakes, summoning them would defeat the purpose of fighting him.
Speaking of whom...here he comes.
He whipped his right arm across and fired out a slashing wave of telekinesis towards me, before launching himself through the air with blinding speed as I ducked under his attack, which whizzed past the top of my head.
Suddenly, he unleashed a powerful telekinetic blast in front of himself to cancel out the momentum as I rapidly generated a wall of Negative Energy spiked in front of myself, a trickle of blood running down from the middle of his forehead as one of the spikes nicked his skin.
I lunged forward as I dissipated the Negative Energy, striking the right side of his face with my left fist, his head snapping across to the left before he sprang back as I whipped my blade across, a shallow cut appearing across the middle of his chest, drawing out a few trickles of blood.
I then got low and leapt forward as he fired out a telekinetic arrow at my head, severing a few strands of my hair before I slashed at his knees with my blade as I closed in on him.
He swiftly fired out a blast of telekinesis, striking the side of my blade and diverting its trajectory, a shallow cut appearing across his skin before he launched himself up into the air with an intense burst of telekinetic from the soles of his feet, the force of the blast knocking me off-balance.
I lifted my gaze as I stumbled back, right as he raised his arms above his head and fired out concentrated jets of telekinesis from his palms, shooting himself straight down towards me, his feet angled towards my head.
As he closed in, I swiftly raised my blade above my head, his feet slamming onto the flat of the blade as jarring twinges of pain erupted across my right forearm upon impact, before I rapidly generated Negative Energy tendrils and wrapped them around his leg, constricting tightly as I chanted to manifest Ravage, sending it zipping out and expanding around his leg.
As the jaws began to snap shut, he blasted the tendrils off with a powerful telekinetic burst around his calf, before firing out a pressurized stream of telekinesis from the back of his leg to launch it up and out of the reach of the jaws of Ravage, the back of his calf getting torn to shreds as the edge of the jaws snapped around it before he could get his entire leg out of the way, blood spilling out and splattering across the floor.
As he began to fly away with a wince of pain, he unleashed a fierce telekinetic blast as I simultaneously took aim and fired out a rapid blast of Negative Energy towards him, an intense shockwave bursting out as our attacks collided and erupted with immense force, blowing us both away.
I arched back my right arm and flung Desecrator straight towards him with a rapid spin as he came to an abrupt halt with a telekinetic burst from behind his back.
His eyes widened before he raised his arms, several dense, shimmering layers appearing in front of him, my blade slicing through several of them before pinging off the last one as it lost momentum, plummeting down.
As my blade hit the ground with a clatter, Jaden stiffened as Aria charged in towards him from behind with immense speed, her wings little more than a blur.
He spun around as an intense shimmer surrounded his right arm, whipping it across as she closed in on him, a devastating, erupting wave of telekinesis bursting out.
Aria veered down right in the nick of time, narrowly evading the attack before she fired a sharp Negative Energy blast at point-blank range, a sharp gasp ringing out as her blast stuck the middle of his stomach, keeling over as he got the wind knocked out of him.
Aria grabbed his left leg and zipped down towards the floor as the glow of her Blaze Ignition: Flare began to flicker, before twisting her body across and spinning around to generate more force as she closed in on the floor, swinging him down with immense speed.
Right before his head could collide against the floor, he vanished from sight, reappearing outside the barrier. He stumbled back before collapsing onto his hands and knees, struggling to catch his breath as he trembled in pain.
The fiery glow surrounding Aria's body faded as she let out a slow exhale, before her Demonic features retracted as she deactivated Descent, as I did the same.
I still have a little under two minutes before Enrage wears off...it took over eight minutes to defeat an opponent who possesses a Power Level not much more than half of ours.
He has quite evidently earned the title of strongest Hunter in the world...I believe I could manage to defeat him by myself, as could Aria, but it would likely be very close.
While his Power Level and stats may be lower than ours at our full power, his immense mastery over his Magic puts him around the same level as us at full power.
"Well, that sure was a lot tougher than I thought it'd be. That guy's a beast," Remarked Aria, as she walked over and patted my shoulder.
"Agreed, I underestimated him. His only real weakness is that, after he casts a large Spell or several smaller Spells in quick succession, he needs a few seconds before he can cast any other Spells.
Except for that cloak surrounding his entire body, that was activate the whole time, and any damage done to it repaired in about a couple of seconds or so," I replied, before glancing at a small display in my peripheral.
Oh, it looks like my time limit with Enrage is about to run out.
