The Adventurers spread out further as the Archdemon focused her attention on me, some of them running away in fear...I suppose I can't blame them, considering the situation.

Considering how much time has passed, most of the Dungeons have probably been conquered by now, assuming the Hunters weren't defeated...but even if they rush back, it'll take at least an hour to get out of the Dungeons and get back to the Sanctuary.

There's no way to contact those inside the Dungeons, there's no signal in there, and it's standard practice to leave your I-Watches behind anyway.

I have to buy time, as much time as I possibly can.

Every minute, every second, will count...this Monster is terrifyingly powerful, she could easily massacre dozens in the blink of an eye.

"Are you afraid, human? You should be," She smirked, before firing out a rapid, piercing beam of Negative Energy towards me.

I quickly shuffled across to my left, grimacing as the beam grazed my right bicep, drawing out a trickle of blood.

Damn it, my reaction time was too slow, my body isn't moving the way I want it to.

No, there's no point in lamenting and dwelling on something I can't change or control, I just need to focus on keeping her occupied for as long as I possibly can.

She doesn't seem to be in any particular rush, but she isn't going to stay laid-back forever, it's only a matter of time before she gets bored and starts rampaging. I need to keep her entertained.

I let out a slow exhale before I shot towards her, several Elemental Spells shooting out as the handful of Hunters who'd remained joined in.

A burst of Negative Energy erupted around the Archdemon as the attacks closed in on her, blowing them away before I lunged forward as I closed in on her, wind swirling around the blade of my spear as I drove it towards the middle of her body.

She swiftly drove her knee up, striking the handle of the spear and deflecting the trajectory of my thrust straight up, the impact jarring my forearms and wrists with sharp twinges of pain.

I gritted my teeth and tightened my grip over the handle of my spear, swinging it down towards the top of her head with as much force as I could generate.

Her left hand shot up and caught hold of the handle before the blade could reach her, she began to lift me up off my feet, before I wrenched the spear free of her grasp as I channeled and unleashed an intense burst of wind around the handle, before springing back and getting some distance, another volley of Spells shooting in towards her.

She let out a bored sigh as she unleashed another burst of Negative Energy to cancel out the incoming attacks, her gaze shifting across to either side as a few of the Hunters rushed in towards her.

"No, stay back-...!" I began, but it was too late.

The Archdemon whipped her left arm across, firing out a rapid Negative Energy slash, slicing three of them in half, before she shot towards the ones charging in to her right, two of them.

One of them swung a sword at her as she closed in, before freezing as she caught the blade in her hand and shattered it to pieces.

She smirked as she then reached out and grabbed the top of the Hunter's head, tightening her grip sharply and crushing her skull with ease, blood bursting out and splattering across the ground.

The other one began to back away in horror, before letting out a sharp gasp as she fired out a drilling burst of Negative Energy towards him with immense speed, blasting a wide hole through the middle of his chest before he could react.

She then spun around as I sprang up behind her and drove my spear towards the back of her neck, catching the blade between her thumb and index finger with a smirk as she stopped my thrust in its tracks.

I grimaced before drawing back my leg, the Demon shifting her gaze down as I drove my right foot out and slammed it against the middle of her torso.

"I barely even felt that. Is that the best you can do, human? Try harder, give me some semblance of a challenge," She sighed, before flinging me away with a powerful flick of her wrist.

I got sent hurtling across the air with alarming speed, grimacing as my left shoulder slammed against the side of a nearby building painfully, that spot throbbing with pain.

D-Damn it-...huh?

"I've got you, Chairwoman, just stay still!" Exclaimed a Healer, kneeling down beside me and healing me as the others began to surround and attack the Archdemon.

"N-No, you...you all need to run away, right n-...!" I began, before trailing off as the Archdemon zipped around and tore the Hunters apart with brutal ease.

Excruciating screams pain and the sound of flesh getting torn apart and bones snapping echoed out, violent sprays of blood bursting out and splattering across the ground.

Dismembered body parts flew out as the Archdemon mercilessly massacred the Hunters, a sadistic chuckle ringing out amidst the chaos...all I could do was watch helplessly, before tensing as the Archdemon turned her attention this way as she finished butchering the Hunters in the vicinity, smirking malevolently before spreading out her wings and zipping towards me with immense speed.

I quickly got back onto my feet, before my eyes widened in alarm as the Healer stepped out in front of me, an agonized wheeze of pain ringing out as the Archdemon plunged her claws through his stomach, her arm bursting out his back.

She then snapped her jaws around his neck, ripping out his throat before swinging her arm across, hurling him away as she munched and swallowed, blood smeared all around her mouth as she licked her lips.

"Mm, I forgot how good humans taste, it's the one thing your kind has got going for you. Now, then...just how much should I toy with you before I kill you? Best entertain me if you do not want to die sooner," She uttered sadistically, before springing back with an amused laugh as I slashed at her neck with my spear, easily evading the attack.

I have nothing more to lose, I'm all but certain to die...but I'm not going down without a fight.

It doesn't matter if my bones break and my muscles get torn apart, I'll push this old body of mine beyond its limits...everything I've got left, I'll put it into this battle...
