Cucking The Hero As The Final Boss!

Chapter 156: Rizzy’s Return!

"Hay~ Hay~ You guys finally came back, huh? Ehehe~." Emerging from thin air, Rizzy, the spirit of the dungeon, bloomed into existence from a cloud of silver mist. Waving her hand at the group, she used her flute to amplify her voice again. "I was waiting for you folks! Had to kill some losers that dropped in to kill some time, even! But whatevers~!"

Her loud voice and nonchalant demeanor when announcing that she'd murdered someone would've usually caused the party to spring into action or at least back away from her, but the flute's piercing sound kept them in place, especially since its reverberations could be felt rattling their brains inside their skulls.

"Quiet down!" To the surprise of the hero's group, it was Custer who addressed her first. Stepping forward with hands on his hips, he glared at the spirit and firmly declared. "Just announce the reward and let us be on our way. That flute is giving me a headache, so put that away before I snap it from your hand!"

"H-hey…" A bit intimidated by the prospect of Rizzy getting upset at their group, Charlotte placed a hand on Custer's shoulder and tried to pull him back. "Let's not do anything harsh, alright?"

Nervously laughing, the leopard woman's gaze matched the spirit's. Pouting at Custer's words, Rizzy seemed visibly upset, but instead of being angry, she appeared as a child who'd been caught by a parent doing something that they specifically told not to do.

"Fine, dadddd~," Rizzy scoffed, squinting at her father.

As for her words, the rest assumed that she was being sarcastic, and thanks to that, the conversation moved forward at a more bearable decibel.

"You defeated the spider," clapping her hands, she glanced sideways at her father, almost as if she was testing him. Yet as soon as he looked at her, her eyes darted back to the rest of the party. "I will give you guys another reward, tell me what you want?"

"Hmm?" Locking eyes with the spirit, Rudy decided to step forward–the rest were just as confused by her wording, but he was the first to question the spirit over it. "What are you offering exactly?"

Bobbing her head left and right, the spirit chuckled to herself and conjured an image of a potion in her hand. The bottle was translucent with a sparkling, clear liquid inside. Its contents and the effects unknown, the hero's group was both drawn and cautious of it.

"How about this potion?" Closing her hand on the image, RIzzy made it disappear before looking right into Rudy's eyes. "It will grant you one wish after you've drunk it. You need to focus on it for a long time, and in the morning your wish will be granted."

"Any wish?" Audrey inquired, visibly dubious of the claim.

Roxanne was no less doubtful and let it be known with a slight confrontation.

"If it's a trick like last time with that ability you gave us, then I swear I won't forgive you for it."

Shaking her head, however, Rizzy quickly dismissed those offensive claims.

"Of course, it can't grant just any wish! Otherwise, you might just wish for this whole dungeon to disappear forever, and we can't have that happening!" Curling into a ball, the silver skinned spirit got into a fetal position, and her body started spinning ever so lightly. "You can ask for a new ability, within reason. Or you can gain a temporary stat boost, or if you really, really want it, you can have it alter your body. Get giant muscles or become irresistibly attractive!"

"Yeah, too good to be true, what's the catch?" Not even allowing the thought to settle in everyone's head, Charlotte pressed the spirit to reveal more information.

Smirking to herself for a spell, Rizzy burst into a laugh. Unable to help herself, she kept laughing for half a minute until eventually her laugh died down, and out came the price for such a potion.

"You get one thing, but you must balance the scales on that transaction! Or more specifically, the potion can grant you what you most desire, but will also give you something that you need the least!"

"There it is," narrowing her brows to reveal, Roxanne pulled both Charlotte and Rudy away from the spirit by tugging the back of their shirts. "Maybe we should just skip the reward this time? Doesn't seem worth the trouble."

"You can always just keep it in reserve for when you most need it. No need to drink it if you don't want to," floating closer to the retreating trio, Rizzy tried to sell the item some more. "Beside~ If you go forward without receiving the rewards, the warden might think you cheated, and that's worse than whatever the potion can do."

"What warden?" Audrey asked, stepping forward while the rest were in retreat.

Smiling at the fox girl, Rizzy lifted her hand and showed her what appeared to be an illusory schematic of the underground dungeon. Bringing attention to the top-most slice of the tower-like structure, she pointed at a specific floor and locked eyes with Audrey.

"Every hundredth floor has a warden overlooking the upper floors. If you cheat, they come out and beat the crap out of you, and even if you somehow retreat with that ring, little girls, the warden won't leave the cheated level–it will stand sentry in wait to kill the cheaters."

"So, either way, we have to take the reward?" Clicking her tongue, Audrey stretched her hand towards the spirit. "Next time, just cut the crap, okay? Now hand over the potion, and we'll be on our way."

"A sage choice, sweet things. Here you go~." Reaching into a cloud of silver mist beside her, Rizzy pulled from within it a bag full of such potions. Clear as crystal and glittering like the stars, even from outside that rag, everyone could see them shining inside. "One for each one of you, and oh, make sure not to discard them as the wardens might not know the difference between a cheater and one who has made it to another floor without carrying the essence of the potion within their bodies or the potion itself."

Clicking her tongue once more, Audrey snatched the bag and decided to leave right then and there. With the click of her boots, she turned around and gestured to the others to follow her, and since nobody wanted to be alone with the spirit girl, they quickly followed her lead. For Zephyr, Aura, and Valentine, it took a while for them to reach the exit, as this time, Zephyr had decided to physically take the flute away from his daughter, as it had the ability to hurt even him.

"Spoilspot!" Complained the spirit, but that didn't stop her father from taking it away from her. In its place, however, he promised her one thing.

"When I kill the hero, you can consume his spirit, just don't blow that flute in my ear every time we're here!" Visibly excited by the offer, the spirit agreed.
