The night past the fiend's departure from the town of Lumenos, an uninvited guest made its way into his shop. Left in no one's care, the place was as quiet as it was dark. The empty shelves, however, implied caution against such an outcome, and yet that didn't stop the spy from walking right in. Tasting the dust in the air on his tongue, the man soaked in his environment–committing everything to memory so that his superiors could look through them like a moving painting.
The process of extraction, while excruciating, had no effect on the spy's abilities, as the memories of the process were sliced away as well. Carrying the scars on his head from the many times he's been through the process, the man walked closer to the shelves to try to find any physical traces of magic. Running his fingers through the dust settled on them, he rubbed it between his fingers and charged the particles with magic.
To his surprise, the dust did in fact respond. A commanding red light was leaking from between his fingers. Marking not only the presence of magic but also its demonic nature. Grabbing a bag from his pocket, he used a brush to collect the rest of the residue for his superiors to experiment with later.
'Demons confirmed. Now to figure out the subspecies and their intent.' Lifting his head, he eyed the passage behind the reception and then glanced over to the staircase while contemplating whether to clear the place first or sweep the ground floor for further proof of the demon's nature.
Clearing the floors in the end, he made sure that the shop was truly empty, and once that was confirmed, he looked through the upstairs bedroom, but the only thing he found there were used panties of many different sizes, condoms, and a few strange, magical devices that buzzed to the touch of a button. Collecting a handful of them, he moved downstairs again and went walking across the passage.
The kitchen and the bedroom, as well as the back door's garden, were the only places he had to go through next, or at least that was his initial plan, but to his surprise, something hollow-sounding caught his attention as he moved to the end of the passage. Glancing down, he pressed his foot on top of the creaking plank. Flinging open and hitting him in the leg was a secret trapdoor in the floor.
'What's this?' He asked himself while getting on his knees. Burning a smokepowder rope from his pouch, he threw it down into the dark and tried to take in everything that he could before heading down himself.
Illuminated by the fire of the cracker, a hidden basement was revealed with a hint of lingering magic that consumed everything but the dark. Even the flame did not last long, consumed like a drop of water being sucked in through a straw.
'Curious…' Caution took over, and the man whistled low. A sudden burst of light emerged in the dark. Then, the very next second in a flash, a small rodent appeared in its place. The man, too, was a summoner, but his powers were restricted to small beasts. 'Go be my eyes.'
Closing his eyes, the man looked through the sight of the rat as it weasled through the darkness. Bumping blindly into many things, the small beast struggled to find a path even though the environment had a large and airy feeling. Whatever was down there was too dark for the rodent and too cramped for it to move around in.
'What?' Losing connection with his familiar, the spy opened his eyes and glanced inside the basement. Hesitant as he was, driven by his curiosity, he decided to make the descent after all. Climbing down the steps, he lit another smokepowder-laced rope. It burned through the dark for a moment, but the flame swirled into fluid strands and was consumed by the dark once more. 'Again? What's going on here?'
Turning his head to the much darker regions, the spy stared into the hungry abyss that was consuming everything and all. His spine shuddered at the emergence of a glowing set of eyes staring at him from the darkness. Still as the moment, the spy felt and even heard the strand of hair on his back standing up slowly as if not to alert the dark entity.
His fingers twitched for his weapon, but as he reached for it by his belt, the darkness swept them in, reducing them to nothing but another part of it. A bead of sweat trailed down his temples, and he tried to take a step away, but the echoing steps of the entity coming closer crippled him.
"Who are you?" Breaking his code as a spy, the man spoke and looked the monster in its eyes. Crossing his arms with his fists squeezing tight, he swallowed and tried to stand his ground. "WHO ARE YOU?!"
A quiver in his legs, and his body nearly stumbled forward. His heart was beating at a heightened rate, and the lack of any weapon was making him vulnerable even before the enemy did anything. And as the walking frame of a voluptuous woman whose very skin was made of flaming darkness melting everything in her surroundings to become one, revealed herself, the spy's heart dropped further for he was amongst the handful who knew exactly what he was looking at.
"N-no…no way! Not true!" Scurrying away on the ground, he watched in horror as she slowly approached him.
Her wide hips, her big, bulky breasts, even the flesh right under her belly button bounced and rippled with every step. Had it been a different situation, perhaps the man would've felt differently, but that mouth shaped like a bear trap's teeth was an indication enough of what was about to happen to him.
"I-it's true…" He whispered as his last word before being swallowed like his weapons and the flames before it.
Undoing his existence, the entity turned around in silence and marched back towards the dungeon through the underground tunnel. She had a horde of treasure to guard, including many of Zephyr's children.
