Jolene Aurora sighed and then rolled her eyes in annoyance.
The bullshit never fucking ends, she thought.
Just ahead of her was the approaching figure of Kaza, a person that she had heard of while in the second layer.
"You must be Jolene Aurora, then," Kaza said while keeping a casual smile, and Jolene naturally cocked her head to the side.
"You know me?"
"I know of you, same as you probably heard of me," she replied. "I know that you have proven to be a great thorn in the side of the Dalquestis ever since you arrived at the second layer. I had a hunch that you must be her after making it this far, but unfortunately, I cannot allow you to go any further-"
"I don't have time for this."
Cutting her off instantly, Jolene groaned and then flashed towards her without any hesitation in her muscles.
Surprisingly, her opponent was ready, and steel clashed together forcefully as she blocked her slashing attack from her katana with her own sword.
"Come on now, don't be like that," Kaza teased with a mocking tone, holding the trained assassin off without breaking a sweat. "I wanna know more about the person who was able to defy the powerful no-nonsense camp of our neighbors. Let's take it slow."
"Don't fucking piss me off."
Jolene attacked, swinging her blade straight at her neck. With her weapon being blocked with a swift parry, she swings again and again, aiming to strike at all vital points within fractions of seconds.
As if she read her mind perfectly, Kaza met all of the attacks with her sword, and Jolene was forced to use a feint slash in order to conduct a spinning kick to her chest. Unfortunately for her, Kaza was able to shield it just in time, but was pushed back as a result.
Jolene clicked her tongue.
I moved so fast, like I usually do. Yet, she managed to stop most of my attacks like it was nothing.
Realizing that this person was able to keep up with an assassin's movements, she decided to continue with the utmost caution, respecting her opponent but ensuring that she was pushed back until there was a perfect striking opportunity.
She wielded her beautiful blade, raising it just above her head as she prepared to continue her onslaught of attacks, deciding to resume her plan that she used against the black fog's reality.
Just keep attacking. Keep forcing her into a corner, and look for a slip up.
She kept her piercing eyes trained on the other woman, whose smile never faded away.
"This is gonna be fun."

"GO ALL OUT, SHIHON!"
Noting the huge disadvantage that they were currently in, Liohime Kitagami wasted no time telling his partner to not hold back.
--The Piglet Squad, strongest members of Killcount and Dalquestsis were currently all up against him specifically, in order to forcefully terminate his contract with his Magical Beast Girl by killing him.
Understanding the situation that her Master was in immediately, Shihon slammed her paws against the ground below and roared with fury as the rocky floor rumbled and cracked in response.
Before most of the battalion could mount an attack, the ground below them began to cave in, and through the cracks came spikey vines that only managed to impale a few while many others dodged them with great reaction times.
In an instant, several Magical Beasts from the Dalquestis members emerged as they lunged at Shihon, and barely managing to shield herself with a manufactured thick wall, she side eyed Liohime, who was currently being chased and attacked by raining arrows and spears.
"SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIIIIIIIT!!!"
She tried to step in, but barely managed to notice a woman who leaped toward her after scaling over the vine-like wall.
Koro, without any fear, had been the first one to charge straight at Shihon.
Avoiding Shihon's incoming foliage attack in mid-air, she used the vines as something to swing on, and propelled herself towards the beast's face with bullet-like speed while spinning around relentlessly in the air, charging up a destructive collision that collided with Shihon powerfully, and the beast stumbled back and was pummeled into the ground below.
As if using the opportunity for a two-in-one scenario, she flipped in mid-air before descending with a speeding kick towards Liohime, who blocked the kick to his face with both of his bare hands, but was sent flying back due to the impact.
Unable to get himself up in time, Liohime barely avoided a spear that slashed against his cheek and stabbed straight into the wall right next to him, drawing blood as he screamed out in pain.
Using her crossbow, Melty attacked with more arrows from a long distance position, keeping Liohime in check as the surrounding dozen of opponents began to close in on him.
Feeling the stinging sensation of death looming in on him, he looked over at where he estimated his Magical Beast would be, and found her also looking back at him while struggling against various beast-like monsters that teamed up against her with elemental abilities, backed up by their own Masters.
There's just too much going on! he thought with fear as his focus was interrupted with a sparring session with Koro that continued while he was merely seconds away from being killed by a rampage of a multitude just a few feet away. The woman's fighting ability was flawless, being able to cut off his escape while attacking with such speed and precision that it took his breath away.
He was slammed into a wall, completely cornered as his body had already taken significant damage and his fatigue had already increased. Nevertheless, his adrenaline and instinct was at an all-time high, and with a body feint, he sent a punch flying that connected with Koro's face, and as he was now surrounded by a dozen highly skilled fighters with nowhere to run, he instantly began to engage with one of the most destructive scuffles in his life.
