Liohime Kitagami fought against all odds in order to keep himself alive against a dozen members who swooped in on him.

He waved a right hook and countered with a nasty axe kick, but took the full force of a punch at his back. Nevertheless, he jumped and sent a spinning kick towards two people with both legs, barely avoided several arrows that whizzed past his head, ducked another fatal attack while tanking two kicks and stab to the shoulder at his right side, and then smashed into a head with his right elbow before dashing to escape another onslaught of close range attacks.

However, he had suddenly been sneak attacked by Poly, one of the Piglet Squad members, who send him skidding back onto a gravel-like floor section with a powerful kick. Unable to gain a strong footing, he continues to slide backwards, but stooped down and used his right hand to touch the ground, regain his balance as he came to a stop in a superhero-esque manner, and dodged an aerial jump from Poly as she smashed her warhammer into the ground, missing his body.

Even with his instincts and deeply trained reflexes being put to the test in order to save his life, it was near impossible to successfully avoid all attacks for long if this continued to be prolonged.

He had to do something, but what could he possibly do when outnumbered to this extent?

I'm only human, he thought as he slightly panicked internally, before realizing that he had been restrained by magical strings that protruded from the ground below him and slowly began to wrap around his arms.

Someone's Magical Beast is doing this, shit.

Quickly freeing himself by using sheer force before the strings continued wrapping around him in order to create a thicker and tighter bond, he dashed away quickly from the next strike from three of his opponents, but he was sure that things would continue to look bad for him.

He was impressed that he had managed to last this long against such a multitude of people, even though most of the time he was merely running away from fatal attacks. Still, he had already taken too much damage, and although it was a rarity for them, some of his opponents still had Magical Beasts, increasing the difficulty by a majority.

No matter what, he had to keep moving, keep avoiding most of the incoming attacks as much as possible, and keep stalling in order for Jolene to complete the mission.

Although…she should have completed it by now. Don't tell me…

His thoughts were interrupted by the Piglet Squad all rushing at him at once, with the rest of the battalion behind them.

He swallowed hard, his natural instinct on seeing their weapons being to run, and he tried to create more time by sprinting away.

Then, he could stop a large wolf-like Magical Beast with large horns sprinting towards him.

--Shihon was trying to get in close proximity in order to defend him with her vines.

Master! I'll save you-

However, her focus had been cut off as something collided hard with her body, and she was slammed into a nearby rocky wall.

She could feel her bones crack on impact, and she howled in pain, just before they slowly began to regenerate while she glared at the cause of the sudden collision.

The effort to split up both Magical Beast and Master was going well, due to most of the Piglet Squad's Battalion going after Liohime and others who were proficient at being Magical Beast users trying to hold down Shihon and stop her in her tracks.

She eyed a gigantic bull-like entity with countless short, white spikes that emerged out of its body and iron-like claws from its hooves, creating an unusual and unsettling image.

In an instant, it charged towards her with its head lowered, and Shihon instantly restrained it with vines overlapping it from the ground below, but the beast's spikes magnified, slashing through everything as it enlarged to the point where it almost stabbed through Shihon herself who was situated several feet away.

S-Shit! My vines won't work on this bitch!

Immediately opting to use her petal-tail bullets, she fired them from long range, but they could only graze and slash away at the thick outer layer and spikes of her opponent, and as she was now in close range, she predicted another enlarged spike attack, and sidestepped it before backing away, only to receive annoying aerial arrows and spears from several Magical Beast users nearby.

This is so fucking aggravating! she thought, as her focus and concern for her master who was currently in a precarious situation did not help at all.

In a mere matter of moments, she would be taken down if she did not fight with all that she had, along with ideas on how to take on the multiple sources that were against her. However, she was hindered with her Master not being present to give her orders, and despite her trying to save him, she was constantly pushed back by her own opposition.

With a split-second side-eye to her Master, her eyes wavered as she could see hims slowly getting even more hurt. Her own feeling of incompetence as well as fear of losing her partner started to creep in, and she began to use even harsher actions in order to free herself.

She instantly restrained all human who were trying to attack her with her vines, and planned to slam everyone into the wall with a force so hard that it killed them instantly, but large spikes extended to slash through just at the last second, stopping her plans as Shihon's main threat positioned itself in front of her.

BOOM!!!!!

Completely destroying the ceiling above, an explosion rang out amidst the chaos, and everyone naturally turned to look at what happened.

From that explosion descended a speeding lump of figures who smashed into the ground with the body of a large blob protecting them from the impact.

Liohime's eyes widened, noticing the familiar faces of those who had finally come to their aid.

"ABOUT FUCKING TIME THAT WE SHOWED UP!!!!" cried one of the voices who led the pack in the front, and that voice came from none other than Harvey Hallvack.

--The entire Polar Town and Hallory Circuit Shinigami Soldiers, along with a couple members from the three other groups, had arrived.
