"Yeah, that's right, Master! It's certainly been a while, hasn't it? The last time that we truly had time together was at the Halloween Festival if we exclude the night in the Paradisus Tower, you know."

The sudden thought of the Halloween Festival and the aftermath caused Liohime to blush a little, but he began to ponder about it.

If they truly went on a date- well, an outing together, it could certainly relieve his concerns and brighten his mood as they spent intimate time together, or at least push his problems onto the backburner for a while.

The duo found themselves on the sidewalks near the beach coast, and the young woman had reverted to her favorite hooded clothing as they walked side by side and took in the new surroundings.

Although it was not in any way talking down on Polar Town, this town within Star Dame included people who were more kind and quick to greet others despite being passers-by who did not know much about them.

The scenery was more lively as well, with live bands playing and large groups of people staying together and the streets were crowded and hit with a fever of excitement and happiness.

Liohime could not help but be infected, and smiled as he noticed the exuberant atmosphere.

Suddenly, he could feel his left arm being cradled by something, and he naturally eyed Shihon's right arm and curled around it.

"What do you think, Master? Pretty cool, right? This is waaayy better than staying indoors all day," Shihon whispered, ensuring that nobody else who was close to her could hear her calling him 'Master'.

"Y-Yeah, I guess you're right."

Note to self: If you're feeling pretty idle at home, go outside and touch some grass. Surely the author will actually take his own principles into account, right?

Anyway, Liohime's thoughts about the Paradisus Legion continued to persevere in his mind, and his final moments with Jolene made him wince, but he quickly tried to shake off those thoughts, keeping close to Shihon who was clearly trying her best to improve his mood.

I should focus my attention on her, he concluded. She's doing what she can to help me, after all.

"Hey, hey, this place is kinda fancier than Polar Town, isn't it, Master?" she whispered with awe, noticing the beautiful allure of the designs and the livelihood of passers-by.

"It's expected, this town is mostly where other well paid people reside, so prepare to see fancy sports cars and the like here as well."

"We should buy one, too, you know."

"I don't like to drive, unfortunately, and I'm certainly not buying a whole ass expensive vehicle for you just for you to crash into a neighbour's backyard."

"Tch, whatever…..what the…?"

"Hm?"

Liohime caught on quickly to Shihon's change of tone and followed her line of sight as they both halted…

…And they viewed a rare sighting that caused Liohime to swallow hard and struggle internally.

They both spoke at the same time.

"A maid cafe."

Oh, boy.

They both exchanged glances, followed by Shihon narrowing her eyes almost instantly as she noticed something.

"Master, you truly are a pervert. I'm convinced."

"Wha….I haven't even done or said anything to warrant that notion, though."

"Are you sure? Because I know you pretty well now, and your behavior and facial expressions are certainly interesting right about now.

S-Shit, I wasn't able to activate my poker face in time!

He's never stared this hard at something in his entire life, she thought. It's as if his entire body was frozen in place, and is refusing to leave. He really loves maid costumes, huh?

Of course, Liohime's kinks were well known by his Magical Beast by now, but it was still pretty hilarious to see his attitude toward them from time to time.

She sighed, and instantly pulled him forward, in the direction of the entrance.

"W-WWAAIT!"

"Eh? You clearly want to go, Master. Let's see what it's about."

"Seriously? You'd go with me?"

"I guess. Why are you so surprised?"

"Well, naturally, if it's a maid cafe, there will be lots of girls in maid outfits there…" he began, and Shihon averted her eyes while folding her arms in a prideful manner.

"So?"

"And knowing your history…you'd probably hate to see me interacting with other gir-…..wait, are you seriously planning to start a massacre in that place if you enter with me!?!?"

Tch, he got me.

She gnashed her teeth in annoyance, but then stared back at him.

"I'll…use self-control, only if we enter and stay for just a couple of minutes. However, I'll have to treat you to wearing a maid costume myself in order to do better than these basic bitches in here."

"U-Uh…okay.."

Yeah, she's definitely worked up.

Liohime exchanged glances with her, glanced over at the maid cafe, and then looked back at her.

Then, he came to a decision.

"Yep, we're going in, Shihon."

"S-So quick…fine."

Thus, Liohime Kitagami and Shihon entered the glorious colored building, and anticipated something completely interesting.
