Infinite Body Prince

Chapter 65: Arrival

Huge trees towered and blocked most of the sunlight from reaching the ground. With the light only managing to break through relatively thin slits, the scenery created was one of beauty and tranquility.

There was a constant low vibrational hum, the rustling of leaves and vegetation, ticks, screeches and cackles.

At a distance, you could hear the running river.

In that pristine scene, two figures flickered two metres above the ground.

With loud groans, they hit the ground.

One was a boy with black hair, his face bloody, the other was a girl with similarly dark hair, wincing as she grabbed her ribs.

Hadrian wheezed as the Alia vessel struggled to breathe. The sorcerer lady had been crushing her throat before she was teleported here.

When Hadrian stimulated the mystical box, with the state it was in and being suppressed by the Baron and Bagdona, it created an opportunity not to attack but to escape.

Hadrian was surprised by how things had turned out. It hadn't been his plan, and in truth, he had not had a concrete plan.

Perhaps, the disorientation effect affected my thought process.

When it came to the box teleporting him, he was only slightly surprised.

Even without grasping its essence, it still affected me like this.

With his experience with lower rank mages, their respective effects on him only happened after he made contact with their essence, but it seemed for such a high rank artifact, even that initial call can not only be detected, but affect Hadrian as well.

That can only explain the how….

Hadrian thought.

On "why" it teleported him, he imagined it was his call that gave it a targeted reaction.

You're still just a metal box, and your awareness is only reactionary, you weren't escaping me, but Bagdona and the Baron so you could deal with me as I am so much more evidently weaker than you.

As he thought this, his eyes were focused on the small metal box that had fallen next to him.

With a slight pulse, it seemed to struggle to flicker, but Hadrian could still feel its slight disorientation effect.

Hehe, just stop. You've been weakened to such a state. I was also imprisoned inside you against my will, no need to have any problems with me.

Thinking this, Hadrian raised his hand above the box and snapped his fingers, making it vanish.

Immediately, Hadrian felt his space path cores' essence being drained at a rate like they would be completely depleted in a matter of seconds.

Even though it has been drained, it's still a rank five mystical artifact.

Thinking this, Hadrian's eyes rolled back as he entered that space.

Finding himself in the first layer, he quickly descended into the second where he could use his abilities, and snapped his fingers, summoning the box into this space.

Just in that short amount of time, his essence was nearly used up by half.

Tsk. Once it regains its essence, it'll be worse, and I won't be able to use it if it still has problems with me.

With a sigh, Hadrian left the space. He'd already assessed his environment and didn't want to waste too much time there, as something dangerous might come for his vessels.

On the matter of the box, he had all the time to think about it once he ensured his own safety.

In all this time, the Alia vessel was under immense pain. Switching the Alia vessel to mechanical control, the pain lessened.

For some reason, he felt a slight pang of guilt, like he had left her to suffer on her own.

She is just a vessel.

And just like the disorientation effect, since his vessel was him, Alia had also been pulled in.

Hm. This is a weakness that higher rank mages abilities can take advantage of.

Hadrian's lips pressed tightly in thought.

He shook his head and looked around.

Krager's Wild.

Since he'd been in this forest before, he easily recognised where he was. Of course, not the specific location he was in.

Looking back at the Alia vessel, his eyes narrowed.

It isn't only that my enemies are strong, but things are happening that I am not aware of.

Well, he'd achieved his goal of freeing himself and Alia, even obtained a rank five mystical artifact, but his heart had worry.

All I wanted was to kill two people responsible for my murder, but now this…

He made the Alia vessel stand up.

In light of this new threat, his revenge on Haldon did feel like something small.

It wasn't that he wouldn't still go through with it, but his own survivability was more important and until then, Haldon could wait.

At first, he could learn more about who wanted him and why they wanted him.

I had already decided to grow stronger first, so it's fine. I should thank the box, this jungle will be a great place to grow my strength, and if mages awakened to the three paths tied to me, then the inhabitants of this jungle probably did too.

Choosing a specific direction, they both walked, Alia with a limp.

First, he needed to find small creatures to heal himself.

...

In the main hall of the Baron's keep, Egoz, the witch and Bagdona approached the steps of the dais.

There were three figures on the raised platform. Sat on the high seat was a young man, handsome with black hair and wearing black leather robes, with three star sigils on the right of his chest.

The two figures beside him were identical looking girls. Pale skin with hair the colour of white clouds.

The one on the right wore fitting black robes with leather pants and heavy boots underneath, while the one on the left was without the robes, but similarly dressed in leather and heavy boots.

The black of their clothes accentuated the paleness of their skin and ghostly grey eyes.

The handsome young man on the seat observed the party of three approaching.

His legs were crossed with his left hand supporting his cheek. The expression on his face was one of boredom.

Stopping right at the last step, the three of them bowed.

"I'm glad word got to you, but I'm afraid we failed to contain him, but - "

On the seat, the young man's lips pressed tightly and his hand rose, cutting off the sorcerer lady with his index finger gesture.

"I think introductions would be best…. "

His right hand gestured to the girl on his right.

"This is Emil." He said, then gestured to the girl on his left, "And this is Aelia."
