Chapter 721 - Hunk

Chapter 721 - Hunk

Su Tao went to Yan Jing’s place for dinner. When Hua Yan saw Su Tao, she was extremely excited and immediately changed into a flowery dress in her room before she spun around before Su Tao.

At this moment, the nanny smiled. “Hua Yan has been wanting to show you this dress ever since she bought it!”

As Hua Yan blushed, she glared at the nanny and muttered, “How hateful!”

Seeing that Hua Yan was throwing a tantrum, the nanny gave an awkward smile to Su Tao before she walked away.

Hua Yan’s psychology had been improving, and she’s slowly becoming an ordinary child. But it was also because of this that she was treated like a treasure by everyone, contracting the princess disease.

Wearing a smile, Su Tao walked over and put Hua Yan into his embrace.

“Don’t do that in the future. You must be an obedient child. Aunty Nanny only told me about it because you’re cute. She’s actually fond of you, and she will be sad if you call her hateful.”

As Hua Yan’s face blushed, she lowered her head with tears welling in her eyes while fiddling with her dress. Clearly, she’s feeling grievance since she knew that her favorite Uncle Su was reprimanding her.

Su Tao did not take it too far and whispered an order in Hua Yan’s ears, “Go apologise to Aunty Nanny and you will still be my favourite Hua Yan.”

As Hua Yan nodded, she leaped down from Su Tao’s embrace, then she turned around and looked at Su Tao. When she saw the encouragement in Su Tao’s eyes, she walked into the small room at the corner.

Roughly two minutes later, Hua Yan wore a smile as she hopped over. “Uncle, Aunty Nanny says that she’s not angry with me, and she has forgiven me. Furthermore, she told me to express her gratitude on her behalf.”

Squatting down, Su Tao picked Hua Yan up and placed her on his shoulder with a smile, Su Tao replied, “You’re the best. Let’s go look for your mother.”

Yan Jing was cooking today. When she saw Su Tao bringing Hua Yan over, she rolled her eyes at the two of them. “Look at how crazy the two of you are.”

Sweeping a glance at the kitchen, Su Tao saw a salted baked chicken before he tore the drumstick and handed it to Hua Yan, who was on his shoulder. Hua Yan happily, immediately, took a bite and smiled. “It’s delicious!”

“That’s a bad habit! If the two of you dare to eat sneakily again, see if I don’t smack the two of you with the wok!” Yan Jing feigned anger and waved the wok in her hand.

“Mummy, a wok is meant to be used to cook, so how can it be used to smack people?” Hua Yan chuckled.

Hearing those words, Su Tao also laughed, “Mummy was confused from cooking. Let us not talk to her!”

But when he saw Yan Jing’s expression, Su Tao immediately ran out of the kitchen with Hua Yan and shouted, “Here comes the train!”

“At least you’re smart to leave. Otherwise, see how I’ll deal with the two of you!”

Yan Jing suddenly caught onto a charred scent and she realised that she was distracted from bickering with Su Tao and her daughter, neglecting the food. She immediately panicked and lowered the fire before seeing that the julienned potato had turned black with a charred smell and blamed herself, “It’s really burnt.”

But soon after, her brows loosened up. A smile rose on her lips when she recalled how Su Tao played with her daughter earlier; it was blissful.

Having sweetness in her life was something beyond her expectations a year ago.

She initially thought that she would be living in hatred, until Su Tao appeared and changed her life. She’s still the Venomous Widow in the business field, but privately, she had become a good mother.

It had been a long time since Yan Jing personally cooked, but she still had her foundation and made a few dishes in just an hour or two. In the process, Su Tao and Hua Yan were chased out when they sneaked in a few times to snack on the food.

This wasn’t to enjoy the delicacy, but to enjoy life.

When the food was served on the table, Su Tao smiled. “Beautiful Ms. Yan, thank you for your hospitality.”

Sitting to the side, Hua Yan also mimicked him, “Beautiful mummy, thank you for your hospitality.”

Although Yan Jing felt a sour spiking in her nose, she still remained composed, “You’re welcome, and thank you for the honour.”

After that, she picked a chopstick full of eggplants and placed it in Hua Yan’s bowl.

When Hua Yan took a bite, her expression immediately changed before she spat it out and grumbled, “Mummy, why is it so salty?”

“What?” Yan Jing replied before she took an eggplant from Hua Yan’s bowl. Indeed, it was tough to swallow.

“You must have treated salt as sugar.” Su Tao smiled.

Wearing a bitter smile, Yan Jing was about to remove all the eggplants from Hua Yan’s bowl.

However, Hua Yan stood up and picked up the eggplant then soaked it in the drink before she carefully took a bite and said, “It’s not that salty anymore after washing it.”

Seeing that Hua Yan was so sensible, Yan Jing finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. She stood up and ran out.

“What’s wrong with mummy?” Hua Yan was at a loss as she looked at Su Tao.

“I’ll go take a look at your mother. You stay here and be obedient!” Su Tao immediately followed after since he was worried about Yan Jing.

When he came out, he saw Yan Jing squatting beneath a tree, burying her head in her knees, sobbing.

“What’s wrong?” Su Tao curiously asked.

“I’m fine!” Yan Jing recovered as she gave a smile to Su Tao and continued, “I only feel that Hua Yan has grown up, and I’m feeling especially touched.”

Embracing Yan Jing’s shoulder, Su Tao smiled. “I never expected that the brilliant chairman would have such a weak spot.”

“It was beyond my control, and I have a weakness now. When my opponents discover it, they will definitely use it to deal with me.” Yan Jing sighed as she regained her composure.

“Don’t worry about it. I will protect the two of you because the two of you are my weakness.” Su Tao sorted Yan Jing’s messy hair and added, “Let’s go. Hua Yan is still waiting for us inside, let’s not keep her waiting.”

After nodding her head at Su Tao, Yan Jing’s eyes flickered with reliance. Aside from Hua Yan being her weakness, this man had also become her weakness.

However, Su Tao was stronger than she had imagined. Right now, Su Tao had reached a height beyond her imagination. Without her knowing, Yan Jing realised that Su Tao was no longer that youth who required her help. He had formed his own connections, and he’s also capable of resolving his own problems; he had grown into a towering tree that can be relied upon.

When they finished their dinner, Hua Yan felt a little tired and she was coaxed to sleep by Su Tao. By the time Su Tao came down, Yan Jing had already prepared tea and red wine.

“A few bag series and fashion will be released in Italy next month. At that time, you’re required to participate in the press conference.” Yan Jing smiled before she went on, “Through our investigation in the market, the international market is filled with anticipation for our Chinese-styled products. Then again, this is due to the Beautifying Cream and Restoring Serum that accumulated popularity for us, so we already have a massive batch of orders online.”

“That’s a piece of good news! But can I choose not participate in it?” Su Tao shrugged with a bitter smile.

“No way! You’re the Chairman of the Three Flavour International, so how can you not participate in it?” Yan Jing remained firm.

“Fine. It seems that I don’t have any choice and I can only showcare my unparalleled charm.” Su Tao smiled.

“To allow you to conquer more European women, we will have to redesign your image. There’s a difference between asians and westerners. Westerners prefer hunks, and you’re too plain.” Yan Jing smiled.

“You’re not going to ask me to hit the gym, right?” Su Tao wryly smiled.

Shaking her head, Yan Jing replied, “We intend to redesign you into a Chinese-styled hunk; we just have to add more Chinese elements in your clothes.”

“Before repackaging me, I’m more interested in repacking you!” Su Tao wore a lewd smile as his fingers slowly ran over to Yan Jing’s direction.

“What? Su Tao is actually intending to head for the Seven Mountain Village?” Sitting before his desk, Wang Guofeng was shocked as he received a report from Luo Ran, who’s his secretary and supervisor, in disbelief.

“That’s right. We’ve just obtained the news that the Qihuang Charity Funds is intending to provide medical assistance to the Seven Mountain Village, and Su Tao will be leading.” Luo Ran emphasised it once more.

“Haha, the heavens are really helping me!” Wang Guofeng immediately bounced up from his seat in excitement as he continued, “Are Su Tao’s good days coming to an end? He’s actually diving into the tiger’s den? The Seven Mountain Village is a forbidden land, and it has already been sealed off by the government. Yet, he actually wants to go in willingly? He’s truly seeking death.”

“But if Su Tao manages to get through this, he will receive acknowledgement from more people.” Luo Ran reminded.

Waving his hand, Wang Guofeng sourly replied, “Stop bullshitting. Many doctors died in the disaster back in 2003, and there’s no lack of physicians who died in the process as well. In the end, it was a foreign country who invented a vaccine and put an end to the disaster. We’ve both learned medicine, and TCM has no chance of beating western medicine when it comes to infectious diseases. Su Tao isn’t being courageous, he’s simply being a fool. In my eyes, he’s just too bloated these days from his achievements. He’s no different from King Wu of Qin, who courted death and killed himself when he lifted the cauldron.”

“I am terrified by Su Tao’s stunning achievements. Who knows, he might create another miracle.” Luo Ran replied in a self-mocking tone.

“Shut it!” Wang Guofeng glared at Luo Ran before he went on, “How can you support others to extinguish your spirit?”

“I’m sorry. I wasn’t considerate enough.” Luo Ran lowered his head. When he lowered his head, his brows twitched. He was filled with hatred for Wang Guofeng’s humiliation in his heart.

Luo Ran knew more than anyone else that Wang Guofeng was nothing more than a puppet. Right now, he’s the one who’s actually managing the entire Medicine Deity Corporation.

The reason why Rangure chose Wang Guofeng as the chairman was because of the latter’s family background and the sect’s support. In terms of the actual ability, Wang Guofeng was much more inferior to Bai Fan. Even he, Luo Ran, was more suitable in that position.

“What’s the development with the Iwata Chinese Medicine Research Facility?” Wang Guofeng asked in a somewhat furious tone since he knew that Luo Ran did not respect him in the depths of his heart.

“They’re not willing to offer any discounts! Are we going to remove the Iwata Chinese Medicine Research Facility’s products?” Luo Ran asked in a solemn tone.

“Since there’s money to earn, why are we giving up? Continue with it and let those Japanese earn some money. When we open more pharmacies, they will know that we’re qualified to negotiate the price.” Wang Guofeng initially wanted to take a gamble with the Iwata Chinese Medicine Research Facility, but he never expected that the Iwata Chinese Medicine Research Facility did not buy it. In the end, he could only choose to give up.

Inwardly letting out a sigh, Luo Ran had actually acknowledged Su Tao’s action to invest in a medicine factory. With your own Chinese medicine and some channels to sell them, wouldn’t it bring more profits?
