Laura and I got back to the living room. Eliza didn't have much but it was enough for them. She had gone out for over half an hour which may mean where she scavenged the food was not so far from here but it was rather fast to be honest.

I looked by the table Donny, Marie, Eliza and now Laura standing at. It had enough food to last a few hours as fuel. Eliza looked at me and gestured her hand calling me to join but I declined with a quick shake of my head. She frowned but kept eating.

Veronica who was still naked walked up to me to speak with me. "Aren't you going to join their little feast?" she asked me holding her towel tightly. I glanced at her looking at her short black hair and blue eyes.

"I am not hungry at all," I replied.

"Is that how most humans work?"

"Do you presume that I am human?"

"Yes, I believe you are. Now I want you to answer my question."

"No, most humans do not work that way, they must eat in order to survive and I must eat in order to control my demonic urges to savour human flesh. I will excuse your assumption this once but never repeat it again. Are we clear?"

"Hmm, you're a feisty one aren't you? Maybe I should take you as my partner."

"No, I am interested because there is only one I care about and you're not them."

"Oh. Very well then. I sense some power irradiating from you now that it came to my realization. Who are you, Mister mysterious?"

"A forgotten myth is what I am and who I have become. My past is not necessary."

"Hey Captain, when are we going to head out to the second dimensional gate?" Donny asked after swallowing some food he had chewed.

Thankfully he did that. As much as Veronica is an angel her mind was broken by the demons. She doesn't even notice that herself. Yeah, you and I heard that right. She might have the spirit of a warrior and the heart of a victor and is honourable in her actions, that are all outshined by her fucked up mind and I did not want to confront her about it.

Donny's question piqued her interest. She composed herself to be a properly mannered lady and a servant of the Supreme Deity, her fighter to say the least. "After you're done eating all you can we move out and get near the area before nightfall," I replied.

Veronica stepped in front of me and pressed her chest on me, looked up and begged, "Please, take me with you on your endeavour so that I may reclaim my honour and exact my vengeance on the demons." I looked down at her face. She was sincere, then she pressed her chest harder against my body lustfully.

"If you do take me with you my body will be yours to use however you want. I may have been used by demons but my heart will belong to yours."

She had lost her demeanour and now lusted for me. 'What happened to her in hell?' I thought to myself. Then I recalled that she had said that a demon offer her salvation and freedom for her submission. I pushed her away gently with one arm extending out. "I think my brother, Tarius, will take you up on that offer, but I will let you join us," I told her.

She frowned and glanced over at Tarius and her face contorted to show that she disliked him and looked back at me disappointed. Her eyes were set on me and only me. I felt it emanating from her, her strong lust and the power that flowed out along with it.

"You should get some clothes on. Everyone, except for you Eliza and Laura, we set out in five minutes! That means after eating we prepare and set out. We got a new addition and she is a promising ally as well."

"Yes sir!" Donny, Tarius and Marie replied in unison.

Laura looked at me as if she didn't want me to leave. Eliza felt the same but she understood what we had to do so she was content with it.

Five minutes past and we were out, back into the city. We had an ETA of about 2 hours on foot, give or take depending on unprecedented events. And I assure there were many to come and it will be pretty difficult for me to fight a lot of enemies at once.

Veronica didn't have a weapon however she refused any weapon I offered her, stating that she is the Supreme Deity's warrior and doesn't use primitive human weapons –guns, grenades, RPGs, etcetera even though we had none but the ones embedded in the nanite suits- and so she opted to find one herself.

We may have gone through a few shortcuts getting closer and closer to old stadium but alas we ran into a few detours –being demons and other people- and we had to get around them and away from them. Traversing through the city proved to be further difficult because of the challenges we faced.

Nightfall was approaching rather fast for what we required and the impending danger was quickly growing. "Look sharp," I told everyone while I lead in front. We checked the streets for any danger before moving to the cover of another building. It gradually became darker but we stuck to how we were still progressing.

I halt in my tracks and I had the others stop behind me. "You guys sense something approaching us?" I asked my team even though it was a question for Tarius and Veronica. I looked back at them for their response and they remained silent. Tarius's facial expression contorted into a look of perturb, he noticed the same thing I had noticed and we were in for another fight.

Before I could do anything not even to turn I felt a force hit me on my side on my arm, and I was sent flying across into the next building and sliding the wall. 'This is getting repetitive. Why is it only me? Do they hold such a grudge against me or is it by chance? A very slim one at that.' I thought to myself.

"Hey fucker over here!" Donny shouted.

Then I heard the pulse rifles firing at my assailant. I get up to my feet in a more difficult way because I was in pain. I saw him raise his hands to try and attack. Veronica and Tarius lunged toward him to subdue. He knocked Tarius down on to the ground hard, grabbed Veronica by her throat and lifted her off of her feet. She was struggling and it was slowly tightening its grip on her throat.

I jumped into action and tried to hit him but he caught my fist, twisting my hand, then throw Veronica to the side leaving Donny and Marie to helplessly watch. "Get out of here and take them with, I will catch up when I am free!" I ordered Donny and Marie. The mysterious demon slowly looked back at them. I took the advantage to attack but it caught my other arm.

I looked back at me, paying no attention to them and solely focused on me. Its face contorted into a look of disdain. Pulled me closer and head-butted I, leaving me startled. In that moment it let go of my arm and hit me so hard into the road. "I am going to enjoy this," it said maliciously. It then dragged me across the road before throwing me into more buildings.

I had no idea where I was, I didn't know the building nor did I have time to figure out.

"Are you really letting this demon beat you like this?" my Mind asked mockingly.

"Like you can do any better. It is attacking me a lot faster than any other I had faced or I have become sloppy in the hours after leaving the facility." My Body responded.

"The only part of your response that wasn't a response was that you have become sloppy at fighting. Good of you to recall your current status,"

"Ugh. I don't have time for this. I need more power."

"For now I shall add a bit more to you for this one. Your foe is certainly above the others in terms of power, maybe I will allow a bit more than what I had initially stated."

"You are going to have me killed once more due to your inaction in my time of need."

"I apologise for giving you a lacklustre amount of power tha-"

"Will you two ever agree on something?" the demon in my head asked in irritation.

"Calm down and let them handle their own issues on their own, Fragius." Aro intervened.

"Very well I sit back and let this horrid conversation continue to irritate me." Fragius spoke.

Back in reality I laid there still. Dazed at what had happened. I groaned in pain, and I got up from the floor. "Fuck it all," I cursed under my breath. The demon walked toward me with bloodlust in its eyes.

"Remember me?" It asked me.

I took a long and hard look scrutinizing its features but nothing came to mind.

"Hmm, maybe this might help you remember." It said.

I was confused to what it meant by that. It raised its hand a bit and I felt a sudden pain in my hand. I looked down at it and a chain went through it. I groaned in pain, then another chain went through my left hand and one through my chest.

I was in pain and my anger rose, I remembered who it was. The one demon who betrayed me, Demicus. The one I thought was my friend.
